Democratic campaign 'trackers' tape, post videos of Republicans' homes
Fox News ^ | July 12, 2012

Posted on 07/12/2012 8:45:51 AM PDT by Sopater

Video "trackers" are a mainstay on the campaign trail nowadays. Dispatched by candidates to shadow their rivals, they lurk in the crowds and the receiving lines waiting for the opponent to slip up, then capture the embarrassing moment on camera and post it online.

But this season, Democrats are taking the practice to a new and some say uncomfortable level by recording the homes of some Republican incumbents.

Two of the recent targets this year have been Ohio Rep. Jim Renacci and Wisconsin Rep. Reid Ribble, whose homes appear in roughly 30-second video clips posted online.

“It really crosses a line,” Ribble told Fox News. “I think it’s fair game for a tracker or the other party to tape what you’re saying. But this doesn’t do anything for them or the political process. And quite frankly it really disturbed my wife.”

In the Ribble video, posted online June 18, his Wisconsin home is filmed from several different angles on a windy day. It's unclear whether anyone was home when the video, which has no sound, was shot. The Renacci video follows the same formula -- straight, raw footage of the congressman's home posted to YouTube.

Democrats are defending the practice. They say the videos of GOP members' homes -- which are generally spacious, nice-looking dwellings -- expose the fact that congressional Republicans used this session to help the wealthy and themselves.

“House Republicans have spent this entire Congress trying to hide that they’re protecting benefits for millionaires and perks for themselves instead of protecting the middle class. But we won’t let them keep it secret any longer,” said Jesse Ferguson, spokesman for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

They need to learn that real Americans don't hate success.

Start identifying their Brownshirt goons, take video footage of them, yell questions at them about who they work for, identify who they work for and start posting the videos everywhere.

Politics these days IS warfare and we are fighting for our Constitutional Republic against an enemy who does not and never will “play nice”. Playing nice only encourages them to step up the mean and nasty tactics. Democrats are criminal scum, treat them as such.

Enough of the rules, shove their crap right back up their asses every chance we get.

There are things we can do. One of the more important ones is to make sure we don't end up running guys for office who think you can maintain your privacy and still be a public person.

Americans like to know what their elected representatives are up to and if that's making somebody uncomfortable they should step aside for a better man or woman.

Frankly, I have nothing to hide. The Democrats are free to come and run cameras around my house 24/7.

At the same time I invented this device that allows me to just walk by a car and remove the valve core in under 5 seconds. You ever try to find a valve core at 2 AM?

Yep, all that info about Rats and media types should be posted on the Internet as a matter of fact without comment or opinion kinda like the phone book.

Neither Rats or the MSM types should be able to keep anything secret.

More Saul Alinsky clear-the-field tactics.

Terrorize the spouse and kiddies so they are pressured to drop out of the race and never run for office again. Will likewise deter many other decent people from ever wanting to enter politics.

A typical Marxist union thug tactic...especially a member of the Democrat party.

So I assume that someone living in a shotgun shack or in a cardboard box over a grate should be virtuous, electable and competent than an affluent successful person in a nice home. The level of absurdity to which Dem campaigners can stoop is incredible. Only to be exceeded by the absurdity of the Dem constituents who buy this garbage when they go to the polls. It is downright embarrassing

Remember when the media posted pictures of the Maryland home of that Florida Congressman because he did not have a home in Florida?

So, just go take some video of Nancy Pelosi’s homes and some of the other very wealthy Democrats. If you find any that don’t have homes in their home state, film that as well.

The Democrat party is doing this on purpose & the purpose is to aid/assist those who are willing ( black block anarchist/OWS) to do violence against those people who are opposed to what the Democrat party wants. The counter to this Republicans need to quote the Alinsky rule on personalizing your enemy ,freeze it , attack the individual.
Then announce that this is being done to target Republican candidate family members for intimidation & violence while showing video of black block anarchist/OWS/NBPP & simply that violence can go both ways & above all don’t back down!!!

It’s all well & good that you “think “ you have nothing to hide . But the problem is that this is being done to aid those who are more than willing to do violence & to threaten the lives & safety of political opponents of the Democrat party.

The Democrat party is setting the stage for violence in the streets against Republican political candidates & their families. This needs to be stopped & the DNC isn’t going to do that on its own.

Almost everyone who works for the federal government is in a situation where you can call his boss and demand to know what his salary is.

That's just for starts.

He also has to keep his employer (the gub'mnt) informed of exactly where he lives!~

Now if that doesn't chill your bones I dont' know what would.

I've even been staked out by a gang sent over from an abortion mill by a stupid reporter who didn't like what I called it.

Get a post office box and a throwaway cellphone. You can transfer your phone list easily.

What you can't do is move your house, so, yeah, they'll find out. Remember that ol'gal who claimed she'd had an encounter with Mr. Caine at that association? I was able to find out where she lived in a few minutes of searching titles deed reference materials on the net.

She'd actually made sure decades before that she'd be hard to find (she's a federal cop you know) and it didn't work.

Romney's trick is he has more than one home.

If this lifestyle gives you anxiety attacks, get out. Plenty of folks in line who find the adrenalin rush intoxicating.

And if your spouse and kids complain, weigh what is more important in your life ~ your family or your chance at power, fame, glory, money.

Fame has a price.

I agree with you. We should do this; no, we HAVE done this.

We posted many pictures of John Kerry's mansions back in 2004, especially his brownstone in Boston and his many yachts, windboards, and other vessels. We had aerial pictures of John Edwards house as well.

I think this tactic would hurt democrats far more than Republicans because democrats like to believe they're men and women of the people. however, if the “people” saw the ostentatious mansions their democrat lived in, they'd be pissed because it would be a direct visual of how hypocritical they are!

Here’s a great way to finance your 2nd amendment hobby -

buy some junk guns for $30-40 at a gun show,
turn in the lot for $100 each at a “gun buy back”.

Use the procedes to buy a shiny new AR and a sidearm.

Someone else's hypocrisy never works well as a driver ~ unless you are a Moslem and then the Prophet said "Kill the hypocrites".

Gives them an excuse for guilt free murder.

Leftwingtards also like the hypocrisy charge. They think it's a major motivator ~ which it isn't.

If I wanted to convert Edwards followers I'd show them a picture of his house and tell them "If I am elected i will let you go to this house and take anything you want".

Stealing stuff is a really big motivator with that crowd.

So you have no problem with the Democratic party as a whole encouraging the targeting of political opponents homes & families with the implied threat of violence & harm being done to them, is that a correct assessment of your opinion?

Also this is not federal elections that this is being done in but state & local ones with the approval of the party hierarchy.

You have too many variables in your proclamation. Cut it back to something like "So you have no problem with people taking pictures from public right of way", and then "So you do have a problem with people threatening to harm or kill others" ~

I think you want somebody to tell you it's OK to fire weapons out your upstairs windows at people with cameras in their hands.

No, you are asking me what i think about the Democrats doing lawful actions, and then what do i think about the Democrats engaging in terrorist attacks.

Lawful behavior is lawful. Terrorism is unlawful.

A lawful action may well be considered unlawful if it is done in furtherence of an unlawful act ~ e.g. casing a merchant is an example.

Again you sound like you want to be able to fire at people with cameras who are on the public streets.

All I can ask is make sure they are Democrats before pulling that trick. We'll still prosecute you, but we won't feel the sting if you mistake us for Democrats in your delerium.

Not at all I am trying to find out if you would think that informing the Democrats that what they are doing is considered by Republicans to be the preliminary ground work for physical violence against Republican candidates & their families by supporters of the Democrat party on behalf of & with the “unofficial” blessings of the party leadership. Then make it clear that any such attacks could lead to some very ugly unintended consequences.

What you want isn't going to happen. Sure Democrats are all nasty people but we are not allowed to have them picked up just because they looked at us crosseyed.

Sure, I'd like to be hauling them off to fenced enclosures but the courts would make us provide them with sufficient straw to be comfortable anyway.

If some wealthy Republican isn't comfortable working in public, there are others who have gotten over that problem and will be happy to fill his place in the line.

You can't be a public person and do it in private ~ and there are risks. The Dead Kennedys could tell you about them ~ as could Ronald Reagan, Jerry Ford, probably Bill Clinton, George Bush, George Bush, etc.

Fame has a price and the world isn't perfect.

To put it bluntly, there are some folks out there who are impolite. When they break the law turn 'em in!
