Did George Zimmerman Cry for Help?

Wednesday, July 11, 2012 @ 06:07 AM Author: Audio Forensic-Expert

As you probably have read in previous blog postings, I’ve made some comments about the 911 and other police recordings that were involved in the Trayvon Martin shooting case. My opinions were published in the Orlando Sentinel and I also made some appearances on MSNBC and CNN as well as Fox News.

I was contacted by a producer at The Today Show shortly after they acquired a copy of an exemplar that the police made of George Zimmerman’s voice. They made the exemplar (sample of Mr. Zimmerman’s voice) so that it could be compared to the cry for help in the 911 police recording....

The salient point he writes: "However, I do want to go on record and comment that a more appropriate or exact exemplar needs to be made of George Zimmerman’s voice in order to conduct a proper voice identification test."

No, it was Trayvon crying out “won’t someone help me beat the sh*t out of this lil’ crackah?!”

Maybe Trayvon: “You want help? I’ll give you help.”

Just use common sense man.

You have someone clearly in distress, in fear, screaming for help and you have a victim with a possible bloody nose, cuts and abrasions to the back of his head.

Who was initially in control of encounter once the violence ensued?

Now, who would be crying out for help as if in fear for their life?

I originally formed an opinion that the cry for help was not George Zimmerman’s voice, which was the opinion I shared when asked by the major media. I never said it was Trayvon Martin’s voice, although some took my opinion that way. I formed my opinion by using my own critical listening skills that I’ve acquired after 28 plus years as an audio forensic expert who also performs voice identification. No scientific voice identification testing was done because I did not have the proper resources. The bottom line here is that this has turned into a media frenzy. People in the United States have already formed an opinion as to whether or not Zimmerman is guilty. In some social circles, this case has even taken on a discriminatory slant due to the fact that people are choosing sides based on their own personal views pertaining to racial discrimination.

He seems less sure.

I don't get where you say he has doubts

I think that is easily inferred from the quote I provided in the comments - "However, I do want to go on record and comment that a more appropriate or exact exemplar needs to be made of George Zimmerman’s voice in order to conduct a proper voice identification test."

Therefore, the prior test he had done he now views as improper, since he did not have the more appropriate exemplar. So one would infer that he cannot now hold to the conclusions he previously made based on an improper test.

Also see the excerpt provided by another freeper on post 7 in which he carefully distinguishes between an "opinion" (which he formed when comparing the 911 audio to the "improper" audio provided by the police) and a "scentific analysis" (which would require a more appropriate exemplar).

He is clearly trying to discourage people from attributing any high degrees of certainty to his prior remarks.

Bears repeating, several times.

While it is ridiculously obvious that the initial media coverage was wildly distorted, one should not therefore leap to the opposite conclusion from the one they were (and are) pushing. There is still lots of potential evidence out there. We really ought to wait till it's made public before making a final judgment on the case.

It would be interesting to see if the level of crime in the neighborhood dropped after Trayvon got put down.

This guy is recanting, because George Zimmerman’s father, in the last bond hearing, confirmed that it was George who was crying for help on the 911 tapes

Also, we know now....Tracy Martin, TraydeMarks father, intitially told investigators it was not Traydemark yelling in the 911 tape

This guy is in CYA lawsuit mode. He made a statement to the media which he knew was not a fact

Hopefully this helps put the Black Racist firm of Parks, Crump, and Natalie Jackson, out of business after they lose the slander lawsuit

Is there any chance that the voice on the recording is neither Zimmerman nor Martin but one of the bystanders?

Yes, interesting angle. Some reporter ought to do a little follow-up reporting on the impact of the shooting on the neighborhood.

But a follow-up story like that would take work and wouldn’t fit the narrative.

Among the factors they apply to voice samples are the spaces or time between words.

They compared a calmly spoken 911 tape with a scream of “hhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllpppppppppppp!”

And even then they found similarities, just “less” than in a normal match.

It was preposterous on its face, the opposite of proper sampling.

DID THE STRAITS CRY FOR HELP??

While the Zimmerman/Martin ‘white’ on black killing is covered 24/7 on the MSM with an outpouring of rage and charges of a racial hate crime, where is the concern- where is the rage about the home invasion, torture, beating, rape and murder of the elderly white couple by a gang of feral blacks in Oklahoma just a few months ago?

The 90 year old war veteran husband was beaten and his jaw broken. He was shot in the face numerous times with a BB gun and sent to the hospital in critical condition.

The 85 year old partially blind wife was RAPED and then BEATEN TO DEATH.

Can you just imagine the pain, the humiliation, the horror that dear old lady experienced being gang raped by that pack of feral animals?

(the autopsy states she was raped. Don’t think all of these animals didn’t all participate)

And can you imagine the pain, the horror of that dear old husband having to witness this?

Mr. Strait died from his injuries a few week ago.

There’s a lot more involved here than a home invasion and robbery.

WHERE ARE THE CHARGES OF A RACIAL HATE CRIME??

90 year old husband’s jaw broken and shot in face with a BB gun numerous times?

85 wife year old semi blind wife RAPED and BEATEN to death??

Why does it take a foreign press to enlighten America as to this henious crime?

WHERE IS THE NATIONAL OUTRAGE?

Have they caught the rest of the gang of feral blacks who raped, tortured and murdered this elderly woman? Are they even looking? Not a word about it in the media.

It is way way too late for this statement! This “expert” inflamed the atmosphere with his “expert testimony” of his near certainty that the voice on the call was that of Trayvon Martin. All the objections regarding other witnesses’ statements, (TM’s father’s first statement that the voice was not his son’s, for example), were well known and publicized as part of the coverage of his statements. He had ample time to correct or retract his inflammatory statements, but chose to bask in the warm glow of the media and the mob. If only as a precautionary lesson to others, he needs to be sued not only by Zimmerman, but by anyone else, perhaps as a class, who was harmed.
In his blog, he also invites readers to in a sense “vote” on whether the voice is TM’s or GZ’s. Is this how expert witnesses act nowadays?
