MOBILE, Alabama -- The fatal gun shot that cut down a single mother of two Saturday night occurred in front of her teenage daughter, family members said today.

The daughter, who asked that her name not be used, said she was standing in her front yard when her mother, Wendy Fisher, ran across the street to retrieve their dog.

Fisher yelled at a passing car to slow down because it nearly hit the pet, the daughter said. At that point a black man with short hair got out of the car, she said.

The daughter said she is not sure if he or one of the two or three other men inside the vehicle fired 3 shots. The man who exited the car was wearing blue jeans and a light T-shirt, she said.

Both made serious mistakes. Martin thought Zimmerman was a thug, Zimmerman thought Martin was a thug. None of which would have been if Zimmerman had not been playing cop.

Save it. Martin was high on purple drank, the neighborhood watch had been successful for a long time, Zimmerman had every right to look at someone, Zimmerman broke off when it was suggested - not ordered- by the dispatcher, and then there are phone records indicating both Zimmerman and Martin separated at that point, but that Zimmerman was afraid to tell the dispatcher his address, because he couldn't find Simmerman and thought he might be being stalked.

Then, on his own, Martin circled back around, declared his intent to kill Zimmerman, and attacked him in a way that could easily have killed him.

Martin was a punk who got exactly what he deserved for attacking Zimmerman, unprovoked, with intent to kill, while high on drugs.

And you can take your violent, racist idea that people need to avert their eyes from black people or they deserve to be attacked, and shove it.

I hope that was clear.

Should be : “because he couldn’t find MARTIN and thought he might be being stalked.”

§ 14-51.4. Justification for defensive force not available.
The justification described in G.S. 14-51.2 and G.S. 14-51.3 is not available to a person
who used defensive force and who:
(1)
Was attempting to commit, committing, or escaping after the commission of
a felony.
(2)
Initially provokes the use of force against himself or herself. However, the
person who initially provokes the use of force against himself or herself will
be justified in using defensive force if either of the following occur:
a.
The force used by the person who was provoked is so serious that the
person using defensive force reasonably believes that he or she was
in imminent danger of death or serious bodily harm, the person using
defensive force had no reasonable means to retreat, and the use of
force which is likely to cause death or serious bodily harm to the
person who was provoked was the only way to escape the danger.
b.
The person who used defensive force withdraws, in good faith, from
physical contact with the person who was provoked, and indicates
clearly that he or she desires to withdraw and terminate the use of

By the way, if you don’t think FL law takes the same view, explain why Zimmerman is under arrest.

I’ve been following this incident pretty closely. Z wanted to be able to give a location to the police. He called the 911 dispatcher, who asked if Z were following Trayvon and then told him that “we don’t need you to do that.” At which point Z answered saying “OK.” The altercation took place on the sidewalk where Z’s head was repeatedly slammed into the concrete, suggesting that Z was no longer on the lawn but was on his way back to his truck. Looks like Trayvon approached Z from the rear.

Confronting evil in a dangerous neighborhood is an honorable and appropriate thing to do. Sometimes you have to fight, and sometimes the thug will die. (And sometimes the good guy will.) You have to face the fact that our times really are difficult. Zimmerman was acting on your behalf. We can’t afford to take your attitude if we want to get the chaos under control and reclaim our country, where the innocent have rights, rather than the feral half-men who prey on the poor—white, black, and “white Hispanic.”

OH HO.

Or maybe more appropriately, OH NO.

Not another Captain Courageous who will put on his magic cape at a moment’s notice and save us.

I CC and I will take no crap but at the same time those who carry and who do not understand that there is a right way and a thousand wrong ways are destined to spend a lot of time in the same predicament as Zimmerman is in.

Plus you make the rest of us look like crazy gun slingers.

Even retired cops will tell you that they will be a good witness and call the cops.

“explain why Zimmerman is under arrest.”

Explain why the initial Prosecutor let Zimmerman go.

Then explain what the political reasoning would be for a GOP Governor to appoint another Prosecutor in an election year.

Yes, but he was out of his vehicle.

Not smart.

Confronting the guy was not smart.

By the way, I have done all of these things including confronting people on their own front porch.

And not very politely, to say the least.

Very bad technique.

But with age comes more wisdom.

I was lucky.

Learn from the foolishness of others.

That is exactly why if you CC you have to be very careful.

Until you go through a trial and spend $25,000 to $250,000, the law is whatever the prosecuting attorney in that county says it is.

There are literally hundreds of Nyfongs.

I think it’s a false assumption that Z should not have exited his vehicle. What kind of a world is it if we can not exit our vehicles in our own neighborhood? It is a gated, middle class, multi-racial neighborhood that posts that there is a watch.

I would not be pointing it at you. If you were following me with your car at night, then got out to approach me and I thought I was in danger? I would not be pointing it at you, and you wouldn’t have an opportunity to ‘smoke me.’

martin was a lot taller than Z....if martin was so "scared" why didn't he just run home?...he could have been inside with the door closed a minute or two....

does not add up...

Z used poor judgement but he didn't plan on hurting anyone and it was a tragic happening all around because of two people's actions...

You are correct. Here in the New Orleans area it is thought to be very bad manners to point out the enormous disparity in crimes of violence perpetrated by blacks versus all other ethnicities. Middle class so called educated white people have been so completely brain washed about the ‘sin of slavery’ that they are convinced blacks must not be judged and that the psychopathology and florid dysfunction black society displays is the fault of white people and all the bad things white folks have done. Pointing out the perpetrators were all born decades after Jim Crow vanished and that New Orleans has had decades of black mayors, black police chiefs, black city council members, and a black congressman for 20 of the last 22 years and that blacks are now responsible fully for their actions produces embarrassed silence or comments such as ‘It's not that simple..’ or ‘You are being so simplistic as to be racist’.
The limp wristed spiritless nature of much of the white middle class here is more than aggravating it makes it easy for a set of basically cowardly and totally incompetent savages to constantly intimidate the entire metropolitan area. Is this unique to the remarkably screwed up New Orleans area or is it common elsewhere in the deep south?

...being stalked by a vehicle.

Again, you are making stuff up.

Who testified that Zimmerman's vehicle "stalked" Martin?

Not only taller, but an athlete, football player. I wasn’t there, but everything I hear suggests that Z was on his way back to his car at the suggestion of the dispatcher and Trayvon approached from the rear and initiated the altercation, first verbally and then physically. A 6’1” football player is quite capable of serious bodily harm.

He was a thug.

He was a dealer.

He was high on “Purple Drank”.

He died a stoned thug.

Zimmerman was not “playing cop”.

Think about it? You should try your own advice.

THE FN END.

Even retired cops will tell you that they will be a good witness and call the cops. There's a big difference here, between being a good witness and being the victim in danger of serious bodily harm if not death. All witnesses in this case were safely ensconced in their nearby homes.
