Monday raid on Corpus Christi home sparked by search for man wanted in killing (Sue Farenthold)

CORPUS CHRISTI — Information that a man wanted for murder was hiding in a Corpus Christi home led to a raid and the arrest of four people on felony drug and weapon charges.

U.S. Marshals and Corpus Christi police’s SWAT team executed a search warrant on Monday at Sue Farenthold’s home in the 5000 block of Cape Romain Drive. Farenthold, the sister of U.S. Rep. Blake Farenthold, R-Corpus Christi, and three men were arrested.

An informant told police that Jose Alfredo Moreno, 29, was hiding in the home, according to an affidavit for the search warrant. Moreno is wanted in Nueces County on suspicion of murder for the June 29 killing of 41-year-old Jose Moreno. The two men share the same first and last name.

Jose Moreno was shot in the head and chest after an argument while playing pool at a bar in the 4300 block of Ayers Street, police said.

Jose Alfredo Moreno was not at the Cape Romain Drive home and police continue to search for him. The police department identifies Moreno as a known gang member, according to the search warrant affidavit.

The Caller-Times requested the arrest warrant for Sue Farenthold and any related affidavit Tuesday afternoon. Late Thursday, police released a copy of the search warrant affidavit, the search warrant, probable cause affidavits and arrest reports for Sue Farenthold, Jesus Juarez, Michael Wayne, and Johnny Reynolds.

Public records show Sue Farenthold owns the home. The search warrant affidavit lists Wayne as a resident and public records show both Sue Farenthold and Wayne live in the home.

According to the search warrant affidavit, the informant told police he also saw a ball of black tar heroin the size of a gumball and about an ounce of methamphetamine on a coffee table in Sue Farenthold’s home within 24 hours of the warrant being signed.

The affidavit states the informant is reliable and credible because the person previously assisted police with information that lead to drug seizures and arrests of narcotic traffickers.

During Monday’s raid, Sue Farenthold, 48, Juarez, 38, Wayne, 49, and Reynolds, 40, were contacted by phone and later with a megaphone from outside, but remained inside until tear gas canisters were fired into the home.

Officers found methamphetamine in a downstairs bedroom closet, according to the search warrant affidavit.

Police have said they also found a small amount of heroin, a rifle and a shotgun.

Sue Farenthold, Juarez, Wayne and Reynolds were each arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. Farenthold was released from Nueces County Jail late Monday on $5,000 bail. Juarez and Wayne were no longer jailed as of late Thursday.

Reynolds remained jailed Thursday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, a third degree felony. His bail was set at $5,500. Reynolds also was held without bail on charges of failure to identify himself and violation of parole.

This story is frightening as now anyone who has any affiliation or relation to a Conservative Republican may find themselves set-up Obama Federal Marshals and local Democratic Machine Police.

Unfortunately, Sue Farenthold and her brother in an election year find themselves as victims. Hopefully, the truth will come out and those who conspired against Rep. Farenthold will be brought to justice.

South Texas is a cesspool run by the Democratic Party and Blake was the first Conservative to break their hold on any legislative seat in the area.

The White House must have seen him as a real threat and called in the local SWAT team after they had planted drugs in his sister’s home.

I don’t recall if I read that she had a history/past offenses.

I have no position on whether any evidence was planted.

But the stated reason for the raid was to arrest someone who was not present based on an informant’s word.

When the pair in the Lawrence v. Texas case were busted for having gay sex in an apartment with drugs in the open based on the phone call of one of their spurned and physically abused ex-lovers, all talk of prosecution for the “other crimes” was dropped. Why was that? (answer the DA wanted to see the sodomy law struck down, he claimed he couldn’t pick and choose when laws to enforce yet he did that day and other times in his career).

I don't think so. Apparently it's well known that she has had drug problems. I heard 2nd hand from a neighbor of hers, and she had nothing good to say about Sue Farenthold. Their father Randy Farenthold was murdered 40 years ago. There are links in the previous article I posted about the murder.

Republican conservative Blake Farenthold---Sue's brother---ousted Solomon Ortiz from office in 2010---Ortiz was in Congress since 1983 doing the bidding of Mexico. Until Farenthold's win, Ortiz was kept in office by Mexico and a solid Mexican-centered district.

With visions of US tax dollar dancing in his head, the new Mexico president was asked by US reporters if the US was responsible for rampant Mexican drug violence. "Yes," el presidente said, "b/c Americanos are the major consumers of Mexican drugs."

Course the mental midget thinks we dont know he's salivating at the thoughts of billions of US tax dollars----and the bozo cannot comprehend if Mexico did not finance its drug cartels over the border---there would not be an American drug problem.

REFERENCE Zeta hit man details killings on both sides of border

LAREDO, TEXAS — A former hit man for the Zetas cartel calmly related to jurors his role in killings on both sides of the border, testifying Monday in the drug conspiracy trial of a man prosecutors say was also a hired killer.

From the witness stand in U.S. District Judge Micaela Alvarez's courtroom here, Rosalio Reta, a US citizen, pointed to Gerardo Castillo Chavez, 25, and identified him as a fellow Zeta.

Pressing his fingertips together and speaking in a slow, soft voice, Reta, 22, a US citizen, told jurors that he had been in a team of hit men headed by Gabriel Cardona, an admitted Zeta who has pleaded guilty to five murders that occurred here in 2005 and 2006.

Reta, a US citizen, said he was the triggerman in the second murder, killing Moises Garcia, a member of the Mexican Mafia prison gang, in December 2005. “We just waited for him to come out and as soon as he came out, we blocked the way and I got down and killed him,” Reta, a US citizen, said.

Reta, a U.S. citizen, received national media attention after the teenager was deported from Mexico in 2006 at age 17. He's known for his distinctive facial tattoos and boasts that he became a killer when he was 13 years old.

Mexico is the staging are for the insurgency---which includes global terrorists bent on destroying America.

REFERENCE Mexico, South and Cenral America are financing the insurgency---these are Third World "voting blocs". Greedy, calculated honchos know vote-crazed US politicians will do anything to get votes.....including voting massive foreign aid to Third World hellholes.

Wiki: The Mérida Initiative (also called Plan Mexico by critics) is a security cooperation agreement between the United States and the government of Mexico and the countries of Central America, with the declared aim of combating the threats of drug trafficking, transnational organized crime and money laundering. The monetary assistance includes training, equipment and intelligence.

In seeking partnership with the United States, Mexican officials point out that the illicit drug trade is a shared problem in need of a shared solution, and remark that most of the financing for the Mexican traffickers comes from American drug consumers. U.S. law enforcement officials estimate that US$12 to 15 billion per year flows from the United States to the Mexican traffickers, and that is just in cash, i.e., not including the money sent by wire transfers.

The U.S. Congress passed legislation in late June 2008 to provide Mexico with $400 million and Central American countries with $65 million that year for the Mérida Initiative. The initiative was announced on 22 October 2007 and signed into law on June 30, 2008.

Blake has had problems with Sue in the past. He is executor of his mother’s estate, and according to our local radio host, has tried to cut off her money, but other siblings pressure him into giving her money. He doesn’t support the terrible life she leads, and has tried to straighten her out to no avail. Anyone with a black sheep in the family will understand this. Blake is a great guy.

Well, that would explain why Sue was picked to be set-up by the Obama Feds as it would not shock the local media.

The real story may be that Sue was at her home, maybe helping that ex con with some problems or Bible Study and the next thing she knew there was tear gas being blasted into the house, just like Waco, and in the confusion that ounce of meth and ball of heroin was planted in the house.

Sister to a republican representative, daughter of a liberal democrat. She’s probably closer to her mothers politics than her brothers

More likely that his sister is a junkie.

“More likely that his sister is a junkie.”

That is a major accusation you are making of someone who has not been convicted of any crime and was set up as a patsy by the Obama Operatives.

Excuse me, but it is you who without any evidence is calling a person who was likely set-up and framed by Democratic operatives a “junkie.”

And I don’t think Sue is the daughter of Sissy but rather a step granddaughter.

Blake is a solid conservative and there are many in South Texas and in the Democratic Party that would want to destroy him.

And in an attempt to destroy Blake they framed his sister.

I stand corrected. She is the step-grand daughter of Sissy as is Blake the step-grandson. The accusation of a conspiracy is ludicrous . If it tarnishes Blake in your mind so be it. The sister got herself in this mess, not the dems. I don’t think it hurts her brother

If you are her attorney and that's what you are planning to use at trial, it doesn't pass the blush test.
