I didn’t see anything in that youtube that particularly bothered me one way or the other. It looked like he called someone a “real big shot” who said something to him. Couldn’t hear what was said to him.

He is a walking heart attack, though. It’s one thing to be overweight, but it’s entirely another to have that ultra-red face at the same time. It isn’t sunburn. It’s blood pressure.

Annie better take him to her anorexia doctor.

He’s a RINO, but ... beach ball?

Yep, my thoughts exactly.

Too bad we can't get some Conservatives with the testicular fortitude Christie exhibits, our guys could take some lessons from him in that regard.

This is recurring theme in NJ and NY. "Take care of the teachers" is a simplistic argument impossible to argue in the sound bite world we live in.

Given the setting, the Boardwalk in Seaside Heights, there's no response that Christie could make and not come off like the bad guy.

Why is he eating ice cream when he knows that he is obese? As the governor of a state, he should have a little more self control of his weight.

"IOW, make sure they get six figures for teaching gym and can't be fired."

I'd argue about the "teach" part. They are paid six figures and can't be fired.

Christie would be a liberal anywhere else. The reason I happily voted for him is that New Jersey Democrats would be Maoists anywhere else.

I don't think he's electable to more than a NJ statewide office, although he probably thinks so, since his massive ego makes his body look emaciated in comparison.

When I saw “Seaside Heights” I thought, what, was he on the
Boardwalk? AND HE WAS! I’ve been to Seaside Heights twice
in the last month or so, and the Boardwalk once. It is overrun with what some call young Guidos and their slutty girlfriends.
It’s an old-style amusement park with some incredible rides,
fortune-tellers, a wide variety of food stands, and some classic games like hitting a rubber frog off a little catapult
trying to get the frog to land inside one of a dozen floating
cups sitting in the water. It is mandatory that anyone in the vicinity of the Boardwalk MUST visit it, as I did Memorial Day. And it’s nice to see Christie was enjoying some ice cream rather than Belgian Waffles.

He is eating ice cream because he evidently likes it.
His weight is none of your business.
It is gross stereo typing, that obese people have no self control.

Stop spreading lies. Christie did not call the guy an “idiot” or any other name. Calling names is what Liberals, do and you called Christie Gov. beachball. If the guy wasn’t acting stupidly, he would not have bothered Christie with the question that prompted Christie to ask the guy “are you stupid?” That is a question and a fair enough question since the reporters were told to stay on the important subject of water shortages. If you don’t know the difference, maybe the same should be asked of you. And, if you are going to resort to telling lies and name calling, please only post on the DU page. Name calling is tacky.

Why is he eating ice cream when he knows that he is obese?

Because this is America? Because even bad choices are free to be made by it's citizens, Nanny Bloomberg nonwithstanding?

As the governor of a state, he should have a little more self control of his weight.

When one becomes a Governor, all freedom of choice is removed. Gotchya.

Cut the crap, if you are a conservative. If not, you shouldn't be here.

He’s weak on 2A but even there he’s shown some sense getting the poor guy out of prison after some moron judge sent him up on a very lame technicality.

He’s weak on the environment and he’s weak on Muzzies

Otherwise, I think he be in the moderate to conservative camp just about anywhere mostly because he doesn’t back down from the unions and walks the pro life walk.

I think he’s a lot more conservative than Romney with whom we happen to be stuck. Granted that’s not saying much.

We all love a guy who fights back and tells it like it is.

That's exactly right. We are starved for an elected official who will tell some of the morons in the studio press-corp / activism audience where to get off, who says what regular people are thinking, out-loud and unfearful of being perceived the wrong way that when one arises we tend to overlook a few things.

Like the wanton slaughter of 40,000,000 American children for the sake of lifestyle convenience? No thanks. Killing babies is wrong. Anyone who wants to look the other way for political expedience is likely to "compromise" on just about anything. It is the nature of being a liberal Republican and it is what is slowly destroying the once-great party of Reagan.

It is kind of like the smoking habit that Hussein says he has finally kicked (which is a lie).

The Governor is in the “extremely obese” category which means he could drop dead from diabetes, coronary heart disease, stroke, cancer, etc..

Eating ice cream is not the way to improve his situation.

Personal responsibility is a conservative value. Is it not?

Yes. He’s governor because the Northern branch of the Democrat thugs under Codey and Lesniak and the Southern branch of the Democrat thugs under Norcross and Sweeney were feuding over the Senate President seat and Corzine was a freakin idiot.

CHristie is PRO-MULSIM, ant-Second Amendment and and anti-First Amendment as well as a law-enforcement union suck-up.

But, heh, this is New Joisey and probably the best we can get. The REST of America can do a LOT better!!!

That is another problem I have with him.

He said that New Jersey has a “hand gun problem” and needs stricter gun control.

There were democrats in 2004 who voted for Bush because even though they disagreed with him on a whole bunch of issues, at least they knew where he stood on things. Course, Bush is that same kind of republican. Better than a democrat, that’s for sure.
