While former U.S. President George W. Bush faces some often harsh criticism as commander in chief from those who claim he led the nation into unpopular wars and additional criticism from opponents who claim he initiated failed economic policies,he has taken on a new role as an advocate for women's health in Africa. Both he and his wife Laura Bush have recently opened a women's health clinic in Kabwe, Zambia.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - President Bush was in Africa to promote cervical cancer detection and treatment programs for Zambian women, many of whom are living with HIV.

He should work on solving America’s problems first. For a start he should spend every waking hour to undo the damage his Supreme Court appointee wrought.

By all means, work on a women’s project in Africa, there’s no election and no problems to solve at home. Is Bush as big a pariah as Nixon or is he seeking Jimmy Carter status?

I agree with you. My daughter has been to Uganda twice on mission trips. There is a growing Christian movement there and God’s word tells us to care for the poor, widows and orphans. I’m not a big fan of Bush but applaud what he and Laura are doing. Can’t wait to see how Obama spends his retirement starting in January!

You know what I hate, more than anything? Getting laid soon. For there is no greater despair, than having consummated the act, and knowing that life trends downward from that pinnacle. Unlike the gangsta-in-chief who spends his time golfing and incessantly campaigning, President Bush does good work for others instead of for himself. Since his departure from the White House, he has been active in many causes, particularly for our Wounded Warriors. I can't imagine the current occupant of the White House doing half as much for others upon his retirement.
Ok, so President Bush wasn't our best President. He wasn't perfect, but then again, neither was the much revered Ronald Reagan. But I would rather have George Bush as President than the low class dictator wannabe we have now.
