Rasmussen: Conservative Anger Against Obamacare Hitting 'Stratospheric Levels'
Newsmax ^ | 7/2/12 | Paul Scicchitano and Kathleen Walter

Conservative interest in the presidential election hit “stratospheric levels” following last week’s Supreme Court ruling upholding Obamacare, noted pollster and author Scott Rasmussen tells Newsmax.TV.

“All that did was energize conservatives,” declared Rasmussen in an exclusive interview on Monday. “The conservative interest in the election was already much higher than that of moderates and liberals. It went up to really stratospheric levels right after the ruling. We don’t know if that will continue or if it’s just a temporary response to the news cycle.”

So I take you’ve dusted off the fife and drum and loaded your musket?

Is that humor? Don't get it. I responded to a poster who seemed to think the best we conservatives can do includes voting for Romney. I don't.

You are deluded.

What Roberts said about the commerce clause has no bearing on it whatsoever. It was meaningless babble and it set no case law whatsoever.

It doesn’t matter at all if people are happy or unhappy, they are slaves of the us federal government from this point on.

It doesn’t matter how hard anyone works to get rid of Obama, or if he is even gotten rid of, because you can’t get rid of the precedent that Roberts did set, and that is that it is constitutional for the government to compel behavior or non behavior via taxation.

There is NO WAY to get rid of that now.

And considering that, why would any future congress vote to remove Obamacare? They can do whatever the Hell they want, anytime they want, and there isn’t a damn thing any of us slaves can do about it. The federal government doesn’t ever vote to remove any portion of power from itself, nor can the unlimited power granted to it by Roberts be removed, so the result is-

WE ARE DONE.

About the only thing we can do now is boat over to Antartica and make a new country there and try not to wreck it with our stupidity next time.

All I gotta say is where were these angry people in 2008

..A LOT OF "INDIES" (independents) went along with the BS line the lib media fed them....instead of listening to Jessie Jackson's whisper.....political correctness added to it....and of course, the co-conspirator Pelosi's expert vetting process

Come up with a plan that might work and scores of FReepers and many thousands of others will be with you.

Conservative = loving those old fashioned documents like the constitution. We kind of get why it was needed. We want freedom and we are smart enough to see idiots peeling it away from us.

"I’m gonna vote my conscience and go with Romney. I guess a lot of freepers will be voting their consciences too and going 3rd party."

Well put.

I am in the latter category. Will NOT pull a lever for Romney. But I appreciate the recognition that this is a decision of conscience - as is yours.

That is not what that section says or means. While my anger indeed has hit “stratospheric levels” over this illogical decision, I still retain my rationality. That section in no way mandates RFID implantation into persons. The ramifications of Justice Roberts’ decision are quite scary enough, without us proffering baseless scaremongering.

Let’s give the Chief Justice credit. He’s accomplished something that hasn’t been done since the 1860’s: he’s shifted the idea of secession from the fringe to the mainstream.

Thanks, Nazi “We Have to Pass it So We Know What’s In It” Peelousy. She knew all along every single thing in this wretched piece of garbage. This little factoid about chip implanting needs to go viral. There’s no way that a Christian can allow it to happen to himself/herself. Between this and refusing to pay for other people’s abortions, I guess I’d better get used to the idea of going to jail. And it will happen probably sooner rather than later.

What’s sad, and scary, is almost half of the people polled still worship obama and will vote for him again. When I think of what the founders of this country were up against, it makes me admire them even more. A third neutral, a third with the Brits, leaving only a third to fight the battles. So, I guess we’re a little better off than they were.

I’m wondering how much effect to suppress the vote of Obama opposition this righteous ‘no Milt no way’ mantra will have. It is as if some want the nation to collapse ‘to teach the GOPe a lesson this time.’ Of course, if little barry bastard commie gets four more years, there isn’t likely to be any next time for any of US, so I reckon these tantrum troops will really get the last word, eh?

Angry? Wait t’ill we are utterly ashamed and embarassed to be associated with these kinds of people and laws... Then that will be really pathetic.

I am amazed that the like of Romney have the sort of stupid communist gullible immaturity to entertain any kind of Obamacare cousin or sibling. The arguments are inane and unacceptable.

It’s the language, and not just about the bad or good guy. Any good guy out there influenced by such language is liable to get confused and do further horror.

THE most importan races now are the house and senate.

We MUST get over the 60 votes to shut down the left wing judges and purge the unelected.

We also have to keep an eye on who is lobbying whom.

Which democrat is still lurking the halls as a lobyist?

Obesity=diabetes=heart problems=knee replacements=hip replacements

Sorry, but I beg to differ on some of these. I have bum knees from military service and have had surgery on them. I have had two back operations and now have hip problems, all military related (thus job related). My brother ran up and down a Goodyear tire factory floor for nearly 38 years. He has lost his hearing from all the noise in that place and they said the massive noise did not destroy his hearing. And, he had to have a hip replaced because of the wear and tear from his job. So, choosing all those is wrong. Overweight, etc. Sure. But then you cannot always call diabetes part of overweight. I know people who are slim and have diabetes.
