The Obama administration on Friday threatened to veto a defense appropriations bill in part because it does not include higher health care fees for members of the military.
“The Administration is disappointed that the Congress did not incorporate the requested TRICARE fee initiatives into either the appropriation or authorization legislation,” the White House wrote in an official policy statement expressing opposition to the bill, which the House approved in May.
President Obama’s most recent budget proposal includes billions of dollars in higher fees for members of TRICARE, the military health care system, and is part of the administration’s plan to cut nearly $500 billion from the Pentagon’s budget.
Some fear the administration’s proposal is an effort to increase enrollment in the state-run insurance exchanges mandated under the president’s controversial health care law.
The administration urged the House to “reconsider” to fee increase, arguing they are “essential for DOD to successfully address rising personnel costs.”
The House bill has significant bipartisan support, and easily passed by a margin of 299 to 120.

This is also aimed at us retirees who gave their all and then were promised a lifetime of “free” on base medical care...Many TEA party activists are/were military retirees.
My Tricare is a very good deal and I’m glad for it, even though as I re-upped each time I was assured I would have free medical...
If my country needs it, I will even forgo it if it helps and they have no money, but Obama is the same clown giving out free cell phones to lazabouts and welfare ne’er do wells??? Cut that crap first.

I've talked to a lot of retired military and those under TRICARE - some who voted for 0 bummer, and they are so ready to hit the voting booth for Mitt.
Walgreen's no longer accepts Tricare, because they do not get reimbursed by this Administration. So, I had to move my prescriptions elsewhere.
Why would this Administration take the money from our troops and their spouses, and troop retirees and spouses? Here is one answer:
Federal Employees owe 3.4 BILLION dollars in back taxes!
So - take it from those who have laid down their lives for our freedom, to give it to the 'entitled' and Government employees!
The Bride is ready to slit throats. She and the girls are all under Tricare Prime. Just wait until she gets a load of what’s coming for Taxmageddon.
Now watch for Obama and his minions to pull some sh*tty trick to prevent the military from voting in November.
