Popular conservative artist Jon McNaughton has released a new painting, the latest in his controversial series of anti-Obama artwork.
The Empowered Manwhich shows President Obama watching in horror as a thirty something white male, standing in front of the White House holds up the U.S. constitution in one hand and a wad of cash in the otherwas released this week.
I wanted this painting to reflect the hope many Americans are having that we can steer our country back on track, McNaughton emailed BuzzFeed. I used real models and it took a couple of months to paint.
The Empowered Man is a follow up to another painting called Wake Up America, which included inflammatory images of President Obama standing in a rain shower of corporate cash while American workers trudged along in chains.

I see he has Bush there with the Democrats, Kennedy kind of hidden in the middle, and Reagan right where he belongs.
Love it. The only thing I don’t like is Obama’s hands raised in a warding off gesture. That’s a little over the top. Otherwise, AWESOME.
I find on McNaughton’s work to be incredible. His site is worth the visit.
IMHO, I think the “warding off” gesture is appropriate. Obama has been the most brazen POTUS who has show contempt towards this country and that gesture is the best indicator.
>The only thing I dont like is Obamas hands raised in a warding off gesture.
I think that’s intentional. Your eye goes directly to the threat to our Constitution. While the Democrats behind him may have disputed our Constitution, the Kenyan usurper can’t stand the sight of it.
It appears that the man empowered by the Constitution is the same man who was in shackles scraping for dollar bills in the first painting.
I think he’s saying the bunch on the right don’t really care one way or the other.
‘POTUS’.. Funny how I read that as ‘POS’.
I love this.
It is truly up to us hobbits to destroy the (political) Ring of Power that corrupts absolutely anybody who wears it.
Go to his site. http://www.mcnaughtonart.com/
Then find the painting. Place your curser over Obama, then click. You will find the artist’s explanation as to why Obama is warding off our Constitution in his painting.
There are many things hidden within this mans work. I think he’s quite clever in his approach to tell a story in each piece.
I think so.
I would like the artist to someday paint a piece with Obama wearing handcuffs and leg irons.
Oh Hell Yeah!
What a wonderful series of paintings telling the story of these last few years. I have hope, I am Everyman, I am Breitbart.
My critique is merely a minor aesthetic one. I’d prefer Obama to just be glowering contemptuously than recoiling in horror like a vampire from a cross. That’s just me. Otherwise, I adore this painting.
The lefties comments (at the website) are hilarious!
Yes, the Everyman is the same one in this series of paintings.
Is that FDR on the right, standing up?
When an artist starts to paint his endictment of the Obama Regime, we are experiencing a watershed event.
What’s Clinton holding in his hand? No vulgarity please.
I’m surprised he didn’t have Obama scratching the side of his nose with his middle finger.
Great link. Thanks.
It’s a miracle!
Considering the FASCIST, Neo-Commie, considers the Constitution the same as a Vampire looks upon a Cross (also apropos) and not only HATES our sacred document but FEARS its power, it is believable and spot on!!!
It looks like Kennedy over his right shoulder. He must be lost.
Instead of cash, he should have an AR-15 in the other hand.
Wonder who the President is standing behind the Constitution? Somebody from the future to save it and us?
“Wonder who the President is standing behind the Constitution? “
It’s Calvin Coolidge.
Agree ! LOL. On the painting, Jimmy Carter is forgotten especially he indirectly mentioned our standard of living had to go down.
> POTUS.. Funny how I read that as POS.
