This is AOK, who needs a commerce secretary when the private sector is doing fine. Hopefully, he’ll re-join the admin as public-sector type secretary, so that higher taxes on the private sector can aid the ailing low-wage public sector, which clearly needs more tax funding for wages, pensions, health care, more jobs.

Do I have this Regime nailed down about right?

Bryson was perhaps the most corrupt Commerce Secretary in history, a specialist in energy racketeering for forty years.

If he is truly disabled, I wish him a secure retirement, in prison where he belongs.

It's bigger. He was the in charge of BrightSource.

Influence Peddling with a Shade of Green

BrightSource received 1.6 BILLION in green energy loans. BrightSource went bankrupt.
Again, the U.S. taxpayers are getting stuck with another billion dollar money laundering scam.

Be patient. The process is not complete yet. You know how those with seizures can have one at any time. Watch for another 'accident' in the near future. This time leaving a hole that looks suspiciously like a bullet hole in Mr Bryson's head.

Bryson Resigns as Commerce Secretary

By Jim Tankersley

Commerce Secretary John Bryson has resigned, citing the effects of a seizure he suffered while driving earlier this month. President Obama, who will meet later Thursday with Bryson at the White House, said, "I want to extend my deepest thanks and appreciation to John for his service over the past months, and wish him and his family the very best."

Bryson went on medical leave after the traffic incident in San Diego after which officials said he had suffered a seizure.

In a resignation letter late Wednesday to Obama, Bryson said, “I have concluded that the seizure I suffered on June 9th could be a distraction from my performance as secretary and that our country would be better served by a change in leadership of the department."

Obama said: "As secretary, John fought tirelessly for our nation’s businesses and workers, helping to bolster our exports and promote American manufacturing and products at home and abroad. John has proven himself an effective and distinguished leader throughout his career in both the public and private sectors, from his success in the business world to his work leading on issues in the renewable energy industry."

Deputy Secretary Rebecca Blank is serving as acting secretary. Obama said he was confident Blank "will serve the American people well as acting secretary."

I suspect the bodies have been piling up and the media is working BIG TIME to hide them all.

“Deputy Secretary Rebecca Blank is serving as acting secretary. Obama said he was confident Blank “will serve the American people well as acting secretary.”

She’s another “social justice” advocate:

Blank is the author of numerous books and articles that focus on the interaction between the macro economy, the labor market, government social policy programs, and the behavior and well-being of low-income families. Her 1997 book, It Takes A Nation: A New Agenda for Fighting Poverty (Princeton University Press) won the Richard A. Lester Award for the Outstanding Book in Labor Economics and Industrial Relations. Among her other recent books are Changing Inequality (University of California Press, 2011), Insufficient Funds: Savings, Assets, Credit, and Banking Among Low-Income Families (joint with Michael Barr, Russell Sage Press, 2009), and Is the Market Moral? (Joint with William McGurn, Brookings Press, 2004.) She is the author of over 100 articles in books and academic journals.[8]

Dear Commerce Team,

I have informed the President that I am resigning as Secretary of Commerce.

The work that you do to help America’s entrepreneurs and businesses build our economy and create jobs is more important now than ever and I have come to the conclusion that I need to step down to prevent distractions from this critical mission.

I feel privileged to have been part of the progress we have made together for our businesses and workers as they “build it here and sell it everywhere.”

As I step down from the Cabinet, Dr. Blank will continue to serve as Acting Secretary. As you know, she provided very able leadership in this role last year, and I have every confidence that on her watch going forward the Commerce Department will continue to fulfill its mission with excellence.

In my personal capacity, I will continue to do everything I can to support the President and America’s businesses as they continue to advance innovation, U.S. competitiveness, and prosperity for our people in the months and years ahead.

Thank you for your many thoughtful and kind notes over this last week. It has been an honor and a pleasure to serve with you.

If this guy has anything on the Hussein monarchy that would make Hussein look bad or, best case, cause him to resign, he will be best served by a resignation.

He will keep his mouth shut.

As somebody further up in the thread said, Clinton had a different way to rid himself of a Commerce Secretary who was going to talk.

Is Obama going to leave this position unfilled through the election, or will he name a replacement and give us the spectacle of Senate confirmation hearings as the election cycle heats up?
