During a speaking engagement Monday, MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry made some startling accusation concerning 9/11 and Americas War on Terror. Perry, who anchors The Melissa Harris-Perry show on the weekends, remarked that 9/11 vaulted America into a “nationalist fervor” that was similar to “having post-traumatic stress disorder.”
The former neighbor to President Obama even used a racial joke to make her point, saying she knew the city was suffering from PTSD because “for about a year, there were African-American men walking around the city of New York with NYPD hats on. That can only be explained as a PTSD response.”
The Tulane Professor of Political Science continued, noting that 9/11 provided an opportunity for a new “racial enemy” in America, explaining:
“Americans in part identify who we are, and who deserves what, through our notions of whiteness and of the racial enemies that are the non-whites.”
She noted that the terrorist attacks gave America a chance to shift its racial hate from “Reagan‘s ’welfare Queen’“ to another ”imagined“ racial enemy that was ”somehow Muslim, or Arab, or Sikh, or something else.” This gives Americans an ability to “stomach a kind of horrific racial violence in the name of national security,” which Harris-Perry notes is a repeating part of American “history.”

The glaring ignorance of the unknown commentator Melissa Harris-Perry is de rigeur for the propaganda merchants. Had she bothered to even briefly consider the facts of history, Melissa would have remembered the sadistic fate of her fellow citizens Nick Berg, Eugene Armstrong, and Jack Hensley.
She could have watched their jihadist captors saw off their heads. She would have heard their pleas for mercy and heard their terrible screams. She could have seen their tributary to the vast river of blood that radical Muslims have deluged upon the world. Indeed, it is their goal to create oceans of blood in the achievement of their quest.
She would know that nearly 20,000 people worldwide have been killed by jihadi terrorists since 9/11. She could remember all the women killed in misogynistic Sharia honor killings; the attacks on gays, children, Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, but mainly Muslims. She would hear the endless calls for a new Holocaust. It would be so obvious to her that someone who could stone an innocent to death, or behead Nick Berg, or push a wheelchair-bound man into the sea, or incinerate a bunch of office workers in the WTC, could also burn all of humanity. It’s just all the same to such a person.
My recommended therapy for Harris-Perry is for her to walk out of MSNBC’s studio and go to the nearest station of FDNY. She ought to sit with the local ladder company and explain her “imagined racial enemy” theory to the firefighters in the day room. I predict spontaneous “enlightenment” will occur and Melissa can once again rejoin the human race.
9/11 was a disaster for libs because it exploded the myth that all cultures were on par with (or superior) to ours, it put a spotlight on the illegal alien problem, it diverted money from “art” featuring crucifixes in urine, it restored (for a short time) prestige to the military, and it made a lot of things (reparations, gay marriage, etc.) very “September 10th”.
