The Daily Caller ^ | 6/15/12 | Matthew Boyle

owa Republican Rep. Steve King said Friday that he plans to sue the Obama administration to halt implementation of its newly announced selective illegal immigration law enforcement policy. He told Mike Huckabee on the former Arkansas governor’s radio program Friday that he successfully sued his own state’s governor — and won — over a similar separation-of-powers issue.

“I will tell you that — I’m not without experience on this — I’m prepared to bring a suit and seek a court order to stop implementation of this policy,” King said

I just called my congressmann’s office and told them what I thought about Obama’s announcement. They were not aware of King’s announcement to sue, so I told them about it and strongly encouraged my congressman to join in the suit.

Excellent. Kudos, Rep. King.

Obummer and Rubio deeply saddened.

I am getting through to the offices of congressmen in washington repeatedly and without waiting. This tells me very few are calling or as outraged as I am.

I am calling to offer support where appropriate and criticism as well.

It is a shame, maybe twitter has become the method of choice to communicate?

Oh, my mistake. I thought it was Peter King of the Homeland Security Committee. At least someone’s speaking out. Allen West was out there this morning too.

Note to Romney: Pete King for head of Homeland Security.

I don't think so...unless you want to get RULED by the RINOs instead of being RULED by the zer0bama regime...

....after the Gabby Gifford shooting.

Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., one of a few anti-gun Republicans in Congress, is proposing a prohibition on firearms within 1000 feet of a president, vice-president, member of Congress or federal judge. A law like this would be impossible to enforce.

Yes, 800,000 ‘job seekers’ named Juan Hernandez is what’s going to happen.

Mexicans may be a lot of things, but they aren’t stupid, especially when it comes to ‘the system’.

How do you think all those BILLIONS of illegal tax refunds that Americans can’t get ended up in Mexico?

A lawsuit is nice.

A motion to cut off funding for implementation immediately would be far more effective.

Is anyone around here old enough to remember when North Vietnam reinvaded the South a mere two years after signing on to the cease-fire to end the war?

The South Vietnam government asked merely for naval support to halt the invasion with near zero risk to U.S. troops. President Ford agreed to that support under the terms of the cease fire. The jackass majority in congress almost immediately passed a House resolution to cut off funding for that purpose and the North Vietnamese cruised in. The rest is history.

Why can't the spineless GOP show similar resolve in standing up to ObaMao?

Support King. He is acting bravely in my view. It is a shame it has come to this.
202.225.4426

I simply searched for his office, found the phone number, called it, got right through. Asked the staffer to please thank the congressman for having a spine and giving me a little hope on an otherwise hopeless feeling day.

She was very cordial and said thank you.

Did the same thing with Lamar Smith’s office. He has suggested impeachment proceedings as this is action today is unlawful.

I didn’t do the same with Kevin Brady’s office. He is my congressman and he never does a thing. You gotta hold a mirror to his face to see if he is still breathing.

Myth. No real resolve. The cost of acting is too high.

Where the hell are the Oathkeepers? Do they truly exist or are they simply part of conservative folklore?

We are all just too old, the kids have to pick up the banner now.

We have to come to grips with the reality that both parties have worked very hard to bring about the New World Order.

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham called the action “possibly illegal.”

Possibly illegal. That's strong stuff, coming from Lindsey.

“he successfully sued his own state’s governor — and won — “

Great news, crappy writing. Does “successfully sued” ever mean anything except that the plaintiff won? Anybody seen “successfully sued - and lost -”?

Yeesh.

Obama just gave Amnesty to illegals. What Obama just did is illegal and an impeachable offense. Ok democrats and Obama tried to pass the Dream Act Amnesty .Republicans blocked it. So Obama passes the Dream act anyway by decree. wtf? Impeach this creature now.

Romney is against Amnesty. Tom Tancredo endorsed Romney.Where are those that tell us Romney is worse?

What hasn’t this Obama done to destroy America, added 5 trilion in debt on us, gave Amnesty to illegals(bypassing of Congress), sent our jobs to China, exploded government size and power, used EPA to destroy what’s left of American industry, gave away our U.S. sovereignty to the UN and China etc.
