Zimmerman 'does not properly respect the law,' judge says in order revoking bond
Orlando Sentinal ^ | June 12, 2012 | Jeff Weiner

Posted on 06/12/2012 9:02:42 AM PDT by Aunt Polgara

The judge who revoked George Zimmerman's bond did so after he determined that it was "apparent" that Zimmerman's wife had lied under oath, and clear that Zimmerman "does not properly respect the law."

Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester revoked Zimmerman's bond on June 1, but his written order was filed Monday. In it, Lester lays out his rationale.

if his wife lied shouldn’t she be the one in jail?

Just think if he had followed directions to not go after the kid that nite...he wouldn’t be in jail, he wouldn’t have $100K and a kid would still be alive.

He did return to his car according to the transcripts. A kid wouldn't have attacked GZ but a drugged up punk thug did and now he is dead from his own actions.

Except for the trumped up charges against GZ things worked out nicely.

The short of it is that black supremacist hate groups have put a bounty on Zimmerman’s head, dead or alive, and he’s being locked up for his own safety but they are unwilling to cast it that way.

Long hot summer and Big PoPo doesn’t want to have to deal with riots led by the President of the United States.

So, if he had not gone after the kid, all this would have still happened?

Nice posting ‘Aunt Polgara’! Of course the “usual suspects” who rise up here on Free Republic to bad mouth Zimmerman, everything he does and all members of his family don’t bother to look into things to this level of detail. They just want to make assumptions that will support their irrational “hang ‘em high” prejudgements.

Those folks are despicable IMHO!

Just think if the kid wasn’t kicked out of school and living with mom instead of daddy and his girlfriend.

“My take is that the judge was not supposed to grant Zimmerman bond in the first place. And he caught hell behind the scenes for doing so. And he responded by saying give me an excuse to revolk his bond.”

That’s certainly what it smells like.

This issue brings out the Hussein Heads like hot rain on a NYC street.

Sorry for the Ra(th)erism.

He was advised to not go after the kid, right?

No.

Tell that to the goons with guns and badges when they come to get you. Watch their reactions.

"If his wife lied under oath, shouldn’t SHE be the one in jail?"

If what I read is true, then she didn't lie, she didn't mislead. She answered truthfully.
When asked how much was in the account she said she didn't know. At the time she was asked, she didn't know how much was in there.
Neither had discussed with the attorney as to what they could do with the $$.

If he had not followed the kid as he was directed, how would the kid have attacked him?

If I had 100k to pay for my legal defense, I would still consider myself penniless...the money belongs to my lawyers and I might see some of it if my lawyers decide to bring me a good sandwich when they visit me in prison.

How ridiculous! It’s a legal fund, not disposable income. It wasn’t a big secret and to say that he is MORE of a criminal because he didn’t report it and we need to get him off the streets is just assinine.

Is it now a HATE crime squared? to the 10th power? Why can’t a “crime” just be a “crime”; why does there have to be all of these different LEVELS of personal offense?

Is he a worse criminal now because he kinda sorta lied about income-which isn’t really income or savings or a trust, kind of a gray area having a legal defense fund-does it specifically ask about you having a legal defense fund?

Doesn’t matter-he is now not just a REALLY bad criminal because he killed someone who was a certain color who was trying to kill him, but he is a REALLY REALLY REALLY bad criminal because he mispoke,-
and only politicians, lawyers and judges are allowed to do that. How dare he!

There's more law out there than one personal can possibly comprehend, but the Law says that's no defense.

We're screwed in a Catch 22 situation.

I'm beginning to understand how the Russians under Stalin felt.

If this case had ANYTHING to do with “...properly respect the law”, Zimmerman would have never been arrested in the first place.

If I were the subject of a racist and politically driven lynching, I can assure you that my respect for the law would be significantly diminished.

The “kid” attacked him, Einstein. Zimmerman was walking back to his vehicle when the “kid” attacked him. If Zimmerman hadn’t had a (legal) gun, he would have been killed, and you’d have to be stupid about something else.

Can ya blame Zimmerman? Considering what has been done to him.

The 'lesson' is: if a black teenager wants to beat the sh*t out of you - let him. The 'crime' of looking at a black person is the ONLY crime worth respecting. Zimmerman had the gall to diss a brother - he should probably be put to death. /s

So he didn’t follow the kid after he was directed to not pursue? The kid attacked him at his car?

Has not this Judge crossed the boundaries of his job classification/description?

Incredible; that everything he says regarding Zimmerman; implies a guilty action on his behalf. This Judge has personally, made the effort to destroy any integrity that Zimmerman has; by saying that he LIED about his funds, et al and hence his recall to jail.

(Never allowing room, for a legitimate defense/explanation whereby Zimmerman might explain his position; i.e. confusion as to monies, for example; and for certain; that this was a legal defense fund' effort; and money NEVER intended for his bond.

Given the entire case rests on Zimmerman's word/honesty; this Judge successfully degraded both; in eyes of public.

Outrageous, IMHO; and they should seek a new Judge to replace this Judge who is clearly, a Leftist tool.
