President Obama is quoted in a New Yorker column by hooked-in journalist Ryan Lizza as believing the most important issue to address in his second term would be climate change
"Obama has an ambitious second-term agenda, which, at least in broad ways, his campaign is beginning to highlight. The President has said that the most important policy he could address in his second term is climate change (italics mine), one of the few issues that he thinks could fundamentally improve the world decades from now. He also is concerned with containing nuclear proliferation."

I agree with him. We need to change the climate in the Oval Office.
Decades from now, the world will be back in the stone age anyway after being at least one generation removed from the impending economic and moral collapse of Western Civilization.
So the “global warming problem” will resolve itself on its own.
The most important issue of his first term (and hopefully ONLY term) was health care. THAT worked out real well, didn’t it..
0bama probably thinks mankind also killed all the dinosaurs. LOL!
And zero’s opponent has the same stance on “climate change”. At least he did a couple of months ago, I haven’t checked lately to see where he stands on the issue nowadays.
A man in search of an issue... wasn’t there a show called “in search of....”
Can you point to a single reference where Romney has suggested that climate change would be the most important issue of his first term?
FUBO!!!
Leonard Nimoy was the host of that show, without the pointed ears. Looks like another time for a “Beam me up Scotty” moment. James Traficant is laughing too hysterically to ofer a comment. Maybe that is his comment.
Salve
I wonder how will this suppose complicated climate change work after WWIII?
Merci.
I have news for you Mr. President. There isn’t going to be a second term.
He already told us long ago his big three were Energy, Education, and Healthcare. Healthcare, depending on what SCOTUS says, has been taken care of. He may or may not have nationalized student loans, or something big like that; I can’t be sure. So much happens. Anyway, there are or aren’t big things left to do for education.
That leaves energy, and the big thing there was always Cap ‘n’ Trade. That never happened, so duh, of course it’s the big item for Obama, Part II.
Obama really has his finger on the pulse of the nation.
Most radical president there has ever been.
Like all leftists, he has had to hide his true agenda up until now. If he gets in again, Katy bar the door. He will tear this nation and it’s traditional freedoms and ways to shreds.
No economic plan?
It’s in their genes. Emails revealing AGW was a total scam. Billions wasted on phoney green jobs to save the earth that doesn’t need saving. It doesn’t matter. The most important job in his next term is climate change. Our most important job is booting obama and the socialist democratic frauds out on their keester in November.
He nationalized the student loans as part of health care. The plan was to finance health care with the interest from student loans. If SCOTUS dumps health care, the government is out and all the other lenders are back in the game.
And anyone who has dealt with the Department of Education on student loans can’t wait for that to happen.
We can change the climate by defeating him in the election!
Agreed. Smacks of desperation bigtime.
Climate change politics/policies is his plan.
BOs only real "skill" is taking money away. It is his purpose in life...
bfl
Pres. Urkel might want to proofread the crap on his teleprompter. I’m sure the millions of Americans looking for work will be glad to know Barry’s plans....
This Obama response belongs in the “You can’t make this stuff up” file!
Thanks SpaceBar.
I think his finger is up his obama-hole.
Anything to distract from the real problems our country is facing, one being the possibility of an Obama second term.
I agree. We need to change the climate of the White House.
All the people who think this is the most important issue facing the country voted for him in 2008 anyway. He won’t add anyone by emphasizing this issue.

Global Warming on Free Republic
Ah, yes, the famous “Il Douche” shot.
I thought Obuma’s malaise moment happened two weeks ago (the Polish death camps), then I thought it was last week (private sector), now this? Hard to decide.
Better?
Il Magic Negro Douchebag
Oh yeah! Definitely. I really hope he starts pushing this as his prime reason to be re-elected. That would be a stroke of genius. The American public will just flock to him. PLEASE do it! /s
Yes, but in a bad way! ;)
Yes, I agree with that. To me that’s why it’s such a desperate move. It’s not well thought out. It’s not even a relevant thing to bring up. He’s already got the wing-nut vote. End of story...
About all he was actually doing, was reminding those who dislike him of one more reason why they don’t.
Thanks for the thread, QT3.14
