This nugget regarding Obama explains a great deal

Daniel Klaidman of Newsweek has written a new book, Kill or Capture , about the Obama administration's anti-terror policies, containing much information that obviously came from insiders, some of which is now the subject of demands for a special prosecutor to investigate leaks. In a review of the book in the Wall Street Journal, Mark Moyar quotes a passage that is frighteningly illuminating about the management style of the man upon whom our national security depends:

In one of his most telling passages, Mr. Klaidman depicts a passive commander in chief who often procrastinated in the hopes that problems would go away, a sharp divergence from the engaged and proactive president of the official narrative. "The president's own elusiveness created confusion about who was in control of policy," Mr. Klaidman writes. "In this vacuum his advisers fought brutally, each side invoking the president in support of its cause."

This seems to epxlain the president's policy toward Iran...

More and more, the Ulsterman reports are sounding real and reliable.

Adolf used to watch film clips of his political enemies being hung by piano wire and slowly strangling until dead over-and-over, too.

I’ve seen three Obama-Biden 2012 bumper stickers in liberal Austin the past few months. Four years ago, they were on every Volvo, the sideways yellow Army CPT bars and any vehicle that had a coexist sticker.

I’m wondering if it will be Obama-Jarrett 2012?

It is very telling there are no Biden bumper stickers. Hussein better be more afraid of Jarrett than Hillary.

BS Drivel! Obama’s foreign and domestic decisions are driven by transferrence of his supposed father’s hatred for Europe, Britain in particular, and the uncompromised question of “what would Allah do?” or “will this devolve America to a level I can make it socialist?” That’s all there is.

People say that about recent presidents -- that Clinton or Bush is just waiting to be able to cancel elections and rule as dictator, but when the time comes they all give up the White House, sometimes with relief, however much they wanted the office to begin with.

I suspect that like LBJ and Clinton, Obama is looking for some concrete government program he can put his name on and put in place. This idea of a socialist America may be more yours than his. What would that involve? What would it look like?

Hatred of Europe? He's more popular there than he is here. Hatred of Britain? Is that really something burning constantly in Obama where other people have a heart or soul? Could he really keep that going during all his years in Chicago?

The Muslim thing? So while his advisors are debating which terrorist to kill and how, he's pondering how to make America Muslim? I guess that could explain why he's not paying attention.

But anyway, the article isn't about why he thinks as he does. You could be right for all I know. It's about Obama being disengaged, not really bothering with the details, avoiding making real decisions, not following through. That fits with the little we know about the guy.

Sadly, I agree. Plus it looks like the Pepsi logo which is why I stopped buying Pepsi.

Valerie Jarrett's setting our policy.

Think about that.

Obama, much like Bill Clinton, avoids making tough decisions by deferring, out-sourcing or ignoring them and when things go wrong, he is quick to blame others. He is clearly over his head as president and apparently doesn’t take his responsibilities very seriously. Aside from earnestly pushing socialist policies and enjoying celebrity status, Obama is essentially ‘playing president’. This is why I’ve never been able to take him seriously, except as a dedicated socialist that loathes the America that gave him unprecedented opportunities. He is a phony of the first rank, just as Clinton was in his own way but far more dangerous because, unlike Clinton, Obama is a socialist ‘true believer’.

NO ONE respects him. A few find him useful. Not least of which, those who count on a second term in order to achieve one-party rule as soon as they get two more communists on the Supreme Court. Although not mentioned much in this campaign thus far, THAT IS the holy grail this year.

Where is Jamie Gorelick today? Her fingerprints were on a lot of stuff in Clinton’s day, and wonder what she’s doing today?

And who exactly is controlling Valerie Jarrett? Being a slumlord and hospital board member, as ValJar was, would not seem to prepare one to run a country without any guidance from others....

I wonder if the BlackBerry phones that Obama and his staff insisted on keeping as they assumed power have Georgy Schwartz and the Center for American Progress on speed dial?

As soon as the media picked up on a leaker in the WH, I’ve suspected VJ. She would do ANYTHING to keep her position and rules/law/ethics are only to be used to her advantage.

On the bright side, if LEO is looking at emails, tapes, and other materials, they may find more then they bargained for: A good excuse to see what the insiders are planning for US> mmmm mmmm mmmmm

"The president's own elusiveness created confusion about who was in control of policy,"

No doubt it's Jarrett and Mooch making decisions for him. He cannot speak without his 'prompter and likely hems and haws with indecision for everything else. Soros, Immelt and all who wrought this group upon us probably have their knickers in a twist wondering what guffaws will surface next given their hefty financial and personal investments in him and those around him (a presidency by proxy). Holder is becoming quite the nemesis on his own.

there should be some safety valve in our government to use when the problem at the top becomes so apparent as to put the Nation at risk.

The 25th Amendment is designed to take care of this situation. A short description from Wikipedia:

The Twenty-fifth Amendment…to the United States Constitution deals with succession to the Presidency and establishes procedures both for filling a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, as well as responding to Presidential disabilities…. Section 4 is the only part of the amendment never to have been invoked. It allows the Vice President, together with a majority of either “the principal officers of the executive departments” (i.e., the Cabinet) or of “such other body as Congress may by law provide”, to declare the President disabled by submitting a written declaration to the President pro tempore and the Speaker of the House of Representatives. As with Section 3, the Vice President would become Acting President. Section 4 is meant to be invoked if the President’s incapacitation prevents him from discharging the duties of his office and to provide a written declaration to that effect.

The liberal mind is driven by a fantasy in which traditional (as in the Bible definition) evil does not exist, punishment for such is bad, and principals of earning and rewarding are wrong, and thus they sought to achieve this Godless Garden of Eden by drugs, or (now) by a government tree that supplies all their wants.
