Several media outlets have again pulled or edited already-published articles about the activities of President Barack Obama’s daughter, even though the stories appeared to pose no active security risk to the first family.
On Thursday, 14-year-old Malia Obama attended a concert by the British boy band One Direction at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va., flanked by Secret Service agents who attempted unsuccessfully to blend in with the crowd of mostly pre-teen girls.
At one point during the concert, the boy bands’ teen heartthrobs sang, “You’re insecure, Dunno what for, You’re turning heads when you walk through the door” — words that managed to take on some meaning for Malia, who looked less than enthused by the presence of multiple middle-aged federal agents at her side.
On Friday, the story was picked up by the liberal website The Huffington Post, which ran the headline, “Malia Obama, One Direction Fan: First Daughter Attends Boy Band Concert with Secret Service in Tow.”
Within hours, the entire post was scrubbed from the site without explanation, and the post’s URL was hastily changed to direct users to the site’s celebrity section.
The next day, news aggregation website Buzzfeed ran a story on the event, accompanied by a picture of Malia in attendance at the concert. The headline was “Malia Obama Goes to the One Direction Concert with the Secret Service,” and the story’s picture showed Malia standing awkwardly in front of a scowling male Secret Service agent, with what appear to be two additional female Secret Service agents standing to her right.
By Sunday, the headline had changed to “Secret Service Agent Does Not Appear To Enjoy One Direction Concert,” and Buzzfeed had cropped the photo to remove Malia entirely, leaving only a narrow shot of the unhappy Secret Service agent. Again, the author of the post, Hillary Reinsberg, left no explanation for scrubbing Malia from the story and the picture, nor did she provide any indication to readers that it had occurred.

Additionally, despite repeatedly saying that the first family is off-limits to reporters, the Obama campaign has used images of the president’s daughters in advertisements urging the public to “help the Obamas stand up for working Americans.”
But the Bush girls were fair game.
And Michelle and the girls went to Atlantic City for a Beyonce Knowles concert. Haven’t seen anything about that in the MSM.

Leftist hypocrisy at its finest. Let's all remember that two wrongs don't make a right and treat these girls' privacy with respect and dignity. Being a teenager these days is rough enough under the best of circumstances. The story is the way the adult Obamas' rules vary in relation to the perceived political benefit.
No mention of HRH O’kenyan ditching the pool reporter again? This is all about power and control since apparently the rules do not apply to the Obama family.
And of course every falsehood and detail and speculation about Bristol Palin was fair game the minute McCain selected her mother to run with him.

2. I wonder if the Obama's can really experience a concert sitting in their special section surrounded by Secret Service details.
Obama injects his kids into every issue and uses them as examples in the majority of his speeches, even to the point of saying he consults with them in making decisions for the rest of us to live by.
Still, I can leave them out of my comments because I feel for them and the ridicule they will endure all of their lives after this disgusting display of leading the nation exhibited perpetrated by their parents.

I think the real story is about the media and Obamas manipulating the news.
Consider this story along with the story a week or so back that detailed how Obama is inserting himself on the White House website blurbs about past Presidents and events.
This is dangerous, and one would be wise to keep one’s own records. Who was it in 1984 that had the job of writing people out of the news/history when Big Brother decided that person was no longer favored?
I don't know. They sound like just another in a long line of music acts designed to separate teenage girls from their parents' money. Silly from an adult point of view, but relatively harmless. According to the UK newspaper Telegraph:

I happen to like their music, of course I probably would never have heard of them except for the fact I have a teenage daughter! Their lyrics are not offensive, which can not be said about those of other acts that are popular among teenagers.

The Obama's are not worried about Malia's privacy; like the rest of the family; that IS a sacrifice; and they know it.
They are, of course; concerned with 'their' image; and they are at their worst; trying to control all, that might impact, negatively. Deserved or not.
Noticed how good Michelle Obama looks on People magazine, this week; on cover and inside per story. Looks like they 'air brushed' about fifteen pounds off of her; (her skirt/hips seem to disappear into nothingness) and she is at least five shades 'lighter' than her normal skin tone.

I am not sure how I ‘feel’ about them, but i am sure they have a much better opportunity in their lives than Myself or my children after what their despicable father has done to the economy and the country.
Besides, WE PAY FOR THEIR SECURITY! We deserve a first family that treats at least SOME of our tax dollars with respect. How many teenagers CAN NOT afford to go to a concert because the unemployment rate for teenagers id over 50%? As for laying off the kids, NO WAY, they deserve everything that they get . I hate them only slightly less than I hate their scumbag parents!

When you put it that way it is more difficult to have sympathy for them. But, I have to give them the benefit of the doubt because they were drawn into this by no choice of their own. I hoped (when commenting) that this all might have the benefit of offering them some humility in perspective. Honestly, looking at the special life bestowed on Amy Carter and the arrogance of Chelsea Clinton, it seems like a long shot. I say that because of the attitude of entitlement fed to the children of liberals. Isn’t it ironic how they differ in comparison to the children of conservatives who may find success, but work for it on their own for the most part?

I’m sick and tired of hearing about these bratty kids, November is coming!
A 14 year old girl is not responsible for what their parents are and what they say and do. Obama does try to score political points with them at every turn, but that is a reflection of his poor character, not theirs. We have every right to hammer him for exploiting his children for political reasons. The moment they are no longer minors and willingly enter the political arena is the moment they become fair game. Until that time I believe that they should be off limits.
