New Jersey Woman Says She Was Fired For Being Too Busty (ABC News) A New Jersey woman says she was fired from her job after her manager told her to "tape her breasts" down, and now has filed suit against the company claiming religious and sexual discrimination. Former data entry worker Lauren Odes said that after two days with Native Intimates, a midtown Manhattan wholesale lingerie company, a supervisor told her the store owners were not happy with her outfit, suggesting it was too "distracting." "When I first started working there, I asked what the dress code was, and I was just told to look around and see what everyone else was wearing," Odes said in a press conference Monday. "So I did. The dress was very casual athletic wear to business attire." Odes said the company owners are Orthodox Jews who were offended by her attire.

A big portion comes from cases you never hear about. She hooks up with these clients and sends the wealthy defendant a letter threatening suit. She apologizes about all the unfavorable publicity filing the suit will create and hints it will be an absolute media circus. She then points out that all this could be avoided if the defendant would just settle pre-suit and no one would ever have to hear about it. Bingo, big settlement. That's how these kind of lawyers works. Sleazy but lucrative.

The task is always unpleasant, embarrassing, and requires a high degree of tact and diplomacy.

Sorry. But this is not the bigger picture. It is one thing to sell to a woman an atractive clothing (while a secular advertising publishing company might use “sexy slogans.” Lingerie that she can wear in front of her husband, e.g.) and a completely different thing: to have a live sexy figure in front of you “working” with you, daily.
Seems like in every office environment, there’s one just like this chick who tries to ruin it for everyone else. That gal’s former coworkers are lucky they work for a small, local company - not a politiacally correct megabusiness with a mealy-mouthed human resources department hellbent on justifying its existance.
I worked for one of the latter. Instead of taking on the slutty dresser directly, the departmental casual dress policy got banned in favor of “more business-appropriate attire.” Everbody in the place had to replace their wardrobe. The problem worker, too: more costly skanky blouses, of course.
Doesn’t matter what line of fabrics this Native Intimates was selling. Office work calls for office attire. I feel sorry for them, tho. The tactless female manager was probably more blunt than a male would have been, and the business may throw her under the bus to save itself. Pity, that.
