Bain Backfire: Obama Camp in 'Full Damage Control Mode'
Breitbart ^ | 5/21/12 | John Nolte

Posted on 05/21/2012 5:08:15 PM PDT by Nachum

[Bain Capital] is not a distraction, this is what this campaign is gonna be about.

Meanwhile, back at campaign headquarters, Team Obama is in full meltdown mode after Newark Mayor Cory Booker went off script, undermining and mocking "what this campaign is going to be about."

ABC News:

The Obama campaign is in full damage-control mode one day after Newark Mayor Cory Booker publicly derided Democrats’ assault on presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney over his record at Bain Capital.

Chief Obama strategist David Axelrod today publicly rebuked Booker, a popular and high-profile surrogate for the campaign, saying he was “just wrong.”

“I love Cory Booker. He’s a great mayor. If I were, if my house was on fire, I’d hope he were my next door neighbor,” Axelrod said on MSNBC, referring to Booker’s rescue of a neighbor last month.

“I agree with what he said later. I think this was a legitimate area for discussion,” Axelrod said of Booker’s subsequent comments clarifying the issue.

But Booker isn't the only Democrat already tired and made uncomfortable by Obama's divisive attacks on the risk-takers who create the jobs and this country's wealth. Below you'll see an ad the Romney campaign released today with more Democrats going "off-script" on the subject of Bain -- an ad that not only proves Romney already has a rapid response team up and running but that it's a very effective rapid response team.

Axelrod is a &ick head and a one trick pony but he has got absolutely nothing to work with.

Pretty damn funny.

When the ‘08 campaign had just begun McCain’s people had put together some funny and biting web ads that satirized Obama’s narcissism. The Obama people actually complained, McCain said hey we’re having some fun and then the ads stopped. They were effective, but McCain was more interested in seeing history made. Romney, it appears, is quite willing to go after Obama and skewer his campaign’s premises and deflect its attacks back on Obama. They’re fast to respond and they hit the target, mostly dead center. If they don’t follow the example of Murphy and McCain this could be very entertaining.

When isn't the hussein administration in damage control mode, working through a "crisis" or dealing with something "unexpected?" Other than trying to drive America over a socialist/fascist cliff, they don't know what they're doing.

Anyone else find it interesting and instructive that Axelrod's analogy about the next-door neighbor was something destructive? These liberal/socialists/fascists first instinct is to destroy.

they will impress me more when they post a list of how many people obummer has directly discharged from their jobs...

How many service men and women will be dumped on a terrible job market.

How many NASA people.

How may oil rig workers in LA.

How many that could have found a job building the Keystone pipeline.

The list is a long one, too long for me tonight.

But many many more than Bain Capital let go.

By the way, you do know that Romney was running the Olympics at the time obummer blames him for closing that steel mill.

And an obummer contributor was actually the person who closed it.

Axelrod has demonstrated several times that he can find hookers and wannabe hookers. He has yet to figure out what might be relevant in a campaign where his boss has destroyed the global economy.

You have to recall that Romney is going into a campaign with about 22% backing from the Republican party voting base.

He's that weak.

Obama intends to spew anything at him that sounds like he's a bad dude.

It'll probably work ~~ against Romney.

You see, that's probably true, and it's probably going to be just that bad for Obama ~ but it's not going to make the 78% who don't care for Romney like him.

The guy has to come up with something for us ~ today ~ not pie in the sky.

The factoids may be true, but that doesn't matter. What's Mitt going to do for Conservatives and Conservatism that will make it so we might like him for a few minutes?

So far he has failed to make the slightest effort to make a deal ~ pretty stupid of a guy with 22% party support.

The reference was to a real incident a month or two ago when Booker was awakened by a fire next door and rescued his neighbor. True story.

Well unfortunately I don't see Romney throwing us conservatives very much red meat between now and November. From this point on, it's a play for the independents and maybe a few Reagan Democrats.

All I can wish for at this juncture is that Obama is defeated and we put enough conservatives in Congress to take over the senate and increase substantially our majority in the House. By this method, we will drive Romney to the right and make the best of a less than ideal situation (with regard to the presidency).

Romney will probably be a much better campaigner than McCain. OBama, with his track record and tin ear a much weaker opponent. I expect Romney to win this thing easily.

But, he does suck.

You can almost feel the shock being experienced by the Obamanites.

"Hey! This is a prissy-faced-middle-aged-white-dude-MORMON. We're supposed to be kicking his butt here! It says so right in the script!"

That Mitt might have his own script is apparently not something they considered.

The funny thing is that we are surprised at all. I mean, come on, they way Mitt took out his competition -- of course with MSM help -- should have given us some clues about how he fights. Of course, we also thought he would be as stupid as McCain was and depend on the MSM to stay buddies with him after he tied up the nomination.

Apparently, Mitt is not subject to the same sort of wishful thinking.

I didn't want him to be the nominee, I was hoping for a genuine Conservative, I still don't like him....

But I am starting to dislike him a bit less these days.

Every movement that seeks to enslave a country, every dictatorship or potential dictatorship, needs some minority group as a scapegoat which it can blame for the nation’s troubles and use as a justification of its own demands for dictatorial powers. In Soviet Russia, the scapegoat was the bourgeoisie; in Nazi Germany, it was the Jewish people; in America, it is the businessmen. - Ayn Rand

Rand saw where liberalism was taking us.

I am no fan of Romney, but I’d love to see his campaign rip the heart out of the beast. We need someone to fight for the very survival of this country. I don’t have great faith in his convictions if he’s elected however. I just can’t imagine him fighting Congress after the election.
