A 1991 information booklet printed by Barack Obama's then literary agent that states that he "--was born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii" has surfaced, according to Big Government. This has lit a torch under the birther movement.
To reiterate before we go further, the booklet in no way "proves" the theory that President Obama was born in Kenya, is therefore not a natural born citizen, and therefore not legally president. He was born in Hawaii, therefore a natural born citizen, therefore the constitutionally elected president.
But then the question arises, why suggest that the young Barack Obama, then an aspiring author, was born in Kenya when he was not? Hot Air suggests that the motivation was to embellish Obama's biography to make him more interesting. One of Obama's former agents claims that the listing was the result of a fact-checking error and that the biographical data was not provided by Obama himself. Big Government maintains that this error persisted at least until 2007, when Obama was a United States senator and candidate for president of the United States.
Obama is not the first public figure to have had his biography goosed up, even though at the time the object was to sell a book that he was working on at the time and not get him elected to public office. The fact that the embellishment has surfaced to bite the president over 20 years later is an example of what happens when one cannot keep lies straight.
Obama did not provide his biographical information to his then literary agent, then who did? Why was the false information not corrected for 16 years, by which time the impression that Obama was born overseas would be an impediment to his being elected president?

The birth document indications of forgery prevent the kenyan birth marketing lie from taking hold. If this was biography was a lie, then the birth documents would be in perfect order. They are not. Obama’s birth and Selective Service documents raise probable cause that a crime was committed.

If this were true, there would be pristine LFCOLB and Selective service and Social security documents. This solution does not fit all the facts. Remember Obama has gone to great lengths to prevent his birth documents from appearing in court, where perjury, and the opportunity for forensic examination by objective experts would be present.

He's yet to do that other than electronically. I've never seen a 50 year old jump through so many hoops to get a copy of his own birth certificate. Shouldn't that have been tucked away in his possession somewhere? Didn't he need it for anything before now? I mean really. Does he think we all fell off the turnip truck?
Your slight of hand won't work. Why didn't you ask; Can you verify the existence of people who lied about who they were or what they did in life in order to get ahead?
Just off the top of my head: Elizabeth Warren, Ward Churchill, Joe Biden, John Kerry and, I suspect, Obama. The world is full of fakers.

Just because he wasn't born in Hawaii doesn't mean he was born in Kenya. That's half a joke but there are countles explanations why he has documentation problems.

I have heard this claim for almost four years now. For the first year, it was very hilarious because the birthers claimed an actual dollar amount that Obama had spent and it went up and up and up and there has never been a single legal fee shown anywhere but birthers unanimously agree that Obama has spent ridiculous sums of money "hiding" evidence.

Why not? It is known that the BC is computer generated. The only question is, does the State of Hawaii authorize it as an accurate representation of the birth information they have. And even if the posse is completely right, it only proves that Obama has lied about his past which is exactly what I said. He has been lying about his past his whole life.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but for me, the concept that an 18 year old, pregnant white girl flew to Africa to give birth to her first born child in a 3rd world hospital in 1961 defies ALL reason. Perhaps it happened, but I am of the Carl Sagan view in that "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence." Granted, there is unusual suspect evidence that Obama's past has been managed and is full of irregularities. It is more likely that these problems stem from a history of lying about himself for purposes of self-aggrandizement in the liberal worldview.
