“That is so sad. But there is NOTHING in this world bad enough to make you take your own life.”

Good luck convincing people suffering from deep dark depression that there isn’t anything bad enough. There is a very fine line between sanity and insanity in the mind. All it takes is something going wrong in those billions upon billions of circuits in the brain.

Kennedy's are often mentally ill and need help.

According to Wikipedia,

Kennedy married Emily Ruth Black (b. October 15, 1957) on April 3, 1982... They have two children: Robert F. III, b. 1984, and Kathleen Alexandra, b. 1988. They divorced on March 25, 1994, in the Dominican Republic.

Kennedy subsequently married Mary Richardson (1960...2012) on April 15, 1994, aboard a research vessel along the Hudson River. They had four children: Conor Richardson (b. 1994), Kyra LeMoyne (b. 1995), William Finbar (b. 1997), and Aiden Caohman Vieques (b. 2001). On May 12, 2010, Kennedy filed for divorce from Mary, just three days before she was charged with drunken driving. On May 16, 2012, Mary was found dead in a building on the grounds of her Mount Kisco, New York home. At the time Kennedy was reportedly dating actress Cheryl Hines.

Those inspirational Kennedy Catholics -- always upholding the sanctity of marriage.

An unbelievably selfish—scars the children for life.

***

When people are that depressed, the problems in their lives are so overwhelming, they don’t think of anything (or anyone) else. Mrs. Kennedy might also have felt that no one, not even her children, would care if she lived or died.

And alcohol makes it worse.

this is NOT a “Kennedy Family tragedy”

this is a tragedy caused BY the Kennedy family, with its long track record of oversexed pampered men emotionally abusing and cheating on their wives

PuhLEEZE spare us the grieving widower schlock.
He was pictured with his new mistress just 2 weeks ago

The poor kids, though. Mummy fell into alcohol and then depression and now chose to leave them forever

“...there is NOTHING in this world bad enough to make you take your own life.”

Not when you’re at the absolute “rock-bottom”, sts.

Point was, who I was then, that person wasn’t who I was to become. Witty way to say it, and a little poetic license. :)

Good luck convincing people suffering from deep dark depression that there isn’t anything bad enough. There is a very fine line between sanity and insanity in the mind. All it takes is something going wrong in those billions upon billions of circuits in the brain.

But when people ingest substances (methamphetamine, cocaine) which specifically destroy the brain's endorphin-producing ability, the deepest, darkest depression is not uncommon.

It's hard to put into a 60-second anti-drug ad, but that's the number one reason people shouldn't take drugs: the possibility of a life without joy.

“People who take their own lives are often mentally ill and need help”

And also on SSRI anti-depressants which feature suicide as a side effect.

So she was killed? Because she wouldn’t give him a divorce? Because she knew too much? If this were 50 years ago you might have a good case for murder, but how likely is that now, when divorce is more readily available? And RFK Jr. is pretty small potatoes. Whatever you could say about his father and uncles, it’s hard to see anyone being killed to save his pathetic little (non-)career.

Hanging is an unusual way for a woman to commit suicide.

Less common than overdose but not as rare as gunshot.

You are absolutely correct. However, we sometimes lie to ourselves.

Hubby told me earlier she died, but not that she had killed herself.

I feel very sorry for her children.
