I was out sick yesterday so I missed the thread. However, I did hear the show...which one of you called in to sing Mark D’s praises?

Well, I might have but I was busy.
I think Mark Davis is one of the more lame subs for Rush, but boy he is so much better than the guy who replaced him here in Dallas.
Every time I tune in to that Ben Ferguson (?) dude, I long for Mark Davis.
WBAP needs to get him back on.
Talk radio has really gone downhill here...I pretty much now just leave my radio on The Ticket.
I listen to Pandora. I love it. We got a new car and all I have to do is take my phone into the car and the radio picks up the Pandora from the phone. I don’t have to do anything but start the car.
Otherwise, I listen to Rush at home through an app from my local radio station. Where ever I go, I can stream the talk radio from home without having to look for it on the local stations.
Ben Ferguson is from Memphis. I thought him a joke here when he replaced Mike Fleming. I guess the radio stations prefer cheap to good.
Rush, I think Punkin feels neglected.
Maybe time to adopt a companion cat Rush?
A few years ago Punkin had Rush pretty much to herself.
Now she has to compete with the new wife, new dog, and Rush’s travel schedule.

There was also a lot of re-registering of dems to vote for Fisher. Sounds familiar Rush?

I happen to know that there are a lot of "dems" re-registering in order to support Sarah Palin. She crosses party lines like no one since Ronald Reagan.
Rush likes to mention that the media and the Democrats “fear” the tea party but fails to mention the hatred/fear factor of the Republican elites in that regard.
I am not saying that she won’t win. Just saying that Brunning is not as “establishment” as Rush claims, and that endorsing Stenberg may have been a strategic mistake. He can’t get elected. Don’t know much about Fisher.
I really think any of the 3 will probably beat Kerry.
Kerry has been gone for ten years. This is not NY— you can’t disappear from the state for 10 years, and suddenly show up again. Kerry was the dems last hope. No one else would run against any pub. Kerry was convinced in desperation

I’m leery of any Republican involved in local, state or federal politics over a period of time. They tend to be co-opted by the party apparatus. I don’t know anything about Nebraska politics so I can only trust that the people there know what they are doing by choosing Fisher. We’ll see in Nov. One thing I do know, it’ll take a slew of new recruits to buck the system to get the government reforms and spending cuts we need.

Ricketts might have had a chance back then. He ran a great primary campaign. No bad mouthing anyone. Had someone who had a cute sense of humor doing his commercials. He couldn’t handle the dem attack stuff. He spent the whole campaign whining ( and it really came off that way) that the dem pacs (and Nelson) were being mean to him.
