ABC has canceled its freshman series with the controversial title "GCB," which some believed mocked Christians, as it failed to attract enough viewership.

As Billy Graham said, “If God doesn’t punish America, he owes Sodom and Gomorrah an apology.”
FYI.
What a shame. There aren’t that many shows on TV with T&A mindless romp and sexual situations.
Mind the tagline, its a true story. I worked with a lad that was always mocking Christians, and Christianity. He is a devout liberal atheist. As he was mocking Christians one day I asked him why dont you ever mock Islam and Muslims? without even thinking about it he blurted out Muslims are violent.
Sometimes the truth comes out if you catch them off guard and they have their PC filter down.
They should replace it with Gay, Communist B..ches
> Everyone in my family loves The Andy Griffith show even my teenage daughters.
We recently re-discovered “Gunsmoke” on the Westerns Channel and I forgot how darn good that show was. Better than 95% of the crap produced today.
Never heard that, but it sounds right to me.
I could tell it was a lefty creation by the “stars” that appeared on it.
However, Monk was quirky but mostly a clean show.
Anyhow, a clean show can be very successful.
Unfortunately, the leftist who mostly control the media and hollywierd would rather flop than produce something that doesn’t push their agenda.
One down...how many others to go?
Desperate Housewives
Glee
ALL reality shows
Family Guy
Don’t Trust the B in Apt. 23
Modern Family
Cougar Town
Suburgatory
Happy Endings
I mean, just look at what many of the titles say...
IMO, all the above show TERRIBLE morals and values and this is a BIG reason our country is so dumbed down and “worldly”...i.e. screwed up. Granted, I haven’t watched any FULL episodes of the above....but seeing the commercials and what little clips I have, tell me all I need to know about what they are “promoting”.
However, there are also other shows (mostly the dramas) that still promote promiscuity and immoral things, but at least the acting and writing of the script are decent enough to get past the bad message. I mean, I have to be honest and say I enjoy Scandal and Revenge...not to mention Sons of Anarchy. But at least I know right from wrong, so I’m not influenced by these shows. A lot of people just go along, thinking it’s all good and if Hollywood does it, why can’t we, etc.
Just my $.02
Desparate Housewives is gone. The last show was yesterday.
Hopefully it ended up with somebody taking a flame-thrower to Wisteria Lane and killing everybody.
Desperate Housewives is already gone. Last episode was last night.
Billy Graham? Is that the absolute fool and hypocrite who said Hitlery would make a good president? Huh? He’s disgusting. To think even for a moment that that perverted thief, possible murderer, liar, and anti-Semite would be praised by Billy Graham is disgusting.
No, it ended with the newly moved-in resident of Susan’s house, a Jeffrey Dahmer type female serial killer, hiding a box filled with the index fingers of all of her ex-neighbors in a cabinet and looking worried (no refrigeration yet?).
At least, that was MY take....hehe.
LOL No everybody mostly moved on and moved away. They already had the fire incident AFAIK
Looking for the debut of “GMB”...
Nope, can’t seem to find that anywhere.
Let me guess, if "Christian" were replaced by "Black, Hispanic, Muslim, Gay, Feminist, or Democrat" she'd go into high warble.
Yep, you should ask her when we can expect the
“Good Muslim B*ches” show to start.
Delighted to hear this!
I agree, I grew up with these shows and still watch them. Bonanza is a good show, and I like Rockford files, probably because I am a nostalgia freak.
It just wasn't a very good show and headed off into crazy land after a few episodes.
‘Bout damn time
I’m not a fan of Billy Graham, but truth is truth, no matter who says it. Caiaphas for example. We are at a place in our nation where we are by comparison making Sodom and Gomorrah look like rank amateurs in the art of evil. I really don’t think God is somehow going to miss that. He’s very good at details.
As for Billy G., I think he did slip left a bit over time. But his comments about Hillary come to him in his advanced years. Perhaps, just as a theoretical possibility, maybe he really didn’t fully grasp who Hillary was, ideologically speaking. He has been such an optimist he is probably inclined to overlook flaws in others, even when it goes against his better judgment, and especially at a stage of life where he must rely ever more heavily on input from those around him. I know he doesn’t get a pass for it, because of who he is. But I do know elderly people in my own life who, under those conditions, could easily have misjudged a person through wishful thinking, with no malice whatsoever at the root of it.
Just maybe they are not offensive enough. Maybe next year they will take off the gloves? /sarc
I think Billy never wanted to be considered as partisan, so he chose his battles in a manner that he would be considered more balanced.
: )
NBC tried something similar some years back about a liberal Episcopal bishop. It lasted 3 episodes.
Yeah, I used to think you could count on them to put making money ahead of ideology but no longer. Now I think they make stupid business decisions because of ideology all the time.
We definitely do NOT want to follow it through to the end, but that's where we're headed. Time to wake up!!!
Right?!
Rules!
And they were not afraid to whip out a ciggy now and then..lol
Of course Canada needs to answer for that DeGrassi Junior High crap.
If you look at TV and movie history, almost all religious offerings made money. Some made a fortune. Safest genre there ever was. Ideology trumps profit for them....every time!
Good for you! Prudes rock! And I mean that sincerely. :)
I have had similar redisovery with Big Valley on Me-TV.
The website for GBC at ABC spelled it out. And there was no asterix.
Good.
Now they should do the same thing with Muslims.
lol.
That’ll never happen.
They don’t lose every time... ever see an episode of GLEE??
every show on prime time network TV regularly insults Christians and family values.
lol.
Every show on prime time does it on a regular basis, Christians and family values are very hated in Hollweird.
Probably why no American network is running it currently.
That, and it ended production a couple years ago.
And this is the sad, short sightedness of liberalism. Your liberal friend is afraid of Muslims becoming violent. But he is not afraid of Christians. Yes, he really does not have to fear Christians. If Christians follow doctrine, they will not harm him. Your liberal friend is afraid of MAN and that is about it. But he should be afraid of the one who not only has power over death, but eternity as well. That is whom we should all fear.
GLEE is absolute worst
I wish I had the imagination to do your brilliant idea justice.
Barney: Andy, I'm arresting Aunt Bea.
Andy: Now Barney, what ever would make you say a thing like that?
Barney: Somebody stole an blueberry pie from the Women's Auxiliary table at the fire house social, and Aunt Bea's fingerprints were all over the pie tin I found outside of the window...I figure she must had reached in and grabbed it. Just a' grabbed it like nobody's business.
Andy: Well - did it ever occur to you that maybe she was the one that baked the pie?
Barney: *embarrassed silence*
Andy: And how did you get Aunt Bea's fingerprints anyway? You don't mean to tell me....
I ran across DeGrassi High the other day, I watched about 10 seconds of it where a girl announced herself as a tranny.
....
ugh
...
Why is this allowed on a children’s channel?
Most heartbreaking to me was that Kristen Chenowith, a highly talented singer (from “Wicked” the musical) and professed Christian was starring in this show.
I picked up her “memoir” in a bookstore the other day and was sad to read her words as she began to explain away her compromise with the world system that accepts all behavior and essentially won’t condemn any sin. (Indeed, the only “sin” condemned anymore is the “sin” of expecting people to repent of their evil behavior and live biblically.)
I am glad this show was cancelled, and hope we can be pleased for a moment and then go back on the offensive...offer people ALTERNATIVES to the next sinful piece of entertainment that will replace “GCB”.
Remember we are to hate the sin and love the sinner...
