Barely a day goes by that President Barack Obama doesnt harangue us with complaints that were not all paying our fair share. Considering the fact that 47 percent of American households pay no federal income tax whatsoever, and that the top 5 percent of wage earners pay almost 59 percent of the total tax revenue, I agree with the president: There are those who are taking advantage of the Internal Revenue Codes complexity. But its not the people the president has in mind each time he delivers his class warfare address.
Indianapolis NBC affiliate WTHR recently uncovered a growing segment of individuals unfairly milking the system -- but its not oil barons, banking magnates or Wall Street wizards. Its illegal immigrants.
All those earning money in the United States, whether here legally or not, are required to file tax returns with the IRS. The problem stems from the fact that 2 million undocumented workers claim tax credits for children living outside our borders, primarily in Mexico.

The max total tax burden should not exceed 20%. So 10% for Feds and the other 10% goes to States, Counties, Cities, municipalities. The max of 20% is Biblical and something economists for the most part agree with.
I wouldn’t make it the death penalty to raise taxes any higher, but those who wish vote a tax increase in should be the only ones to pay it. Make it applicable to everyone with absolutely no exceptions. And they have to be voted on by the public. None of this passing a tax increase bill in the middle of the night with a bare minimum quorum. If they do try something like that then a long, long prison sentence and/or death penalty would be appropriate.
As for the unbalanced budget. I would penalize the bureaucrats by garnishing their wages, their bank accounts, putting liens on their real estate, etc. Make a determination if they are incompetent or are intentionally trying to screw up the budget and judge them accordingly. Then fire them. Hang them if it warrants. And if they produce budget surpluses? They get bonuses on their paychecks!
There need to be incentives for using the money wisely and disincentives for its mis-use for those who work for us.
