Did you hear what Sarah Palin did in Texas? (We have some big news coming out of Texas!)

We have some big news coming out of Texas!

We got word from Tea Party Express endorsed Texas U.S. Senate candidate Ted Cruz that he just received the powerful endorsement of former Alaskan Governor and U.S. Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin and her husband Todd Palin.

This is a major boost for the surging conservative from Texas in his quest to champion Tea Party values of fiscal responsibility in the U.S. Senate.  Gov. Palins endorsement carries a lot of weight with conservatives and Tea Party groups.  It was just this last week that she put her stamp of approval on Tea Party Express endorsed Nebraska U.S. Senate candidate Richard Mpourdock and is, in our opinion, the one that put him over the top in defeating Sen. Dick Lugar.

Governor Sarah Palin wrote: “We’re proud to join conservatives in Texas and throughout the nation in supporting your (Ted Cruz) campaign to become the next Senator from the Lone Star State.”
.
Ted Cruz responded  "I am humbled and honored to have Governor Palin’s support as we fight to restore fiscal sanity to the circus that is Washington."
.

.
Governor Palin added in her response: “Your conservative principles, passionate defense of our Constitution and our free market system come at a time when these cornerstones of our freedom and prosperity are under attack. Our shared goal isn’t just to change the majority in control of the Senate, but to assure principled conservatives like you are there to fight for us.”
With Governor Palin’s support, and the support of tens of thousands of conservatives from all across Texas, we will turn our country around, rein in out-of-control spending and debt in Wa.
.

.
If you haven't heard about Ted Cruz, here is a little about why we have endorsed him and are fighting to send him to Washington:
.
Ted Cruz is a self-professed child of the Reagan revolution.  His parents fled Cuba after experiencing an oppressive government and instilled in Ted a profound respect and appreciation for freedom.  He understands that it is not our government that makes America run, but our entrepreneurial spirit.  He made money as a kid by reciting the Constitution from memory to Rotary Clubs in Texas and giving speeches on free-market economics.
.
As Solicitor General of Texas from 2003-2008, Cruz authored 80 U.S. Supreme Court briefs and personally argued 40 oral arguments, including 9 before the Supreme Court.  Named “a Republican star rising in Texas” and “a great Reaganite hope” by the National Review, Ted Cruz has led the fight against Obama’s offshore drilling moratorium and for private property rights for Americans.  His “Growth and Jobs Agenda” promotes a limited government plan that pledges to repeal ObamaCare and Dodd-Frank, kill Cap and Trade, and dramatically simplify the tax code.

Ted Cruz at the Tea Party Express Endorsement Press Conference in Dallas, Texas

We were honored to travel around the great state of Texas with him last month to endorse his campaign and hope that you will be as excited as we are about his candidacy.  We just held numerous rallies for Ted Cruz all across Texas this last week to rally support as part of our "Restoring the American Dream" bus tour.

We have a great candidate that we all need to support to send him to Washington!

One of Tea Party Express’ top priorities in 2012 is to elect a conservative majority to the U.S. Senate, and thanks to patriots like Ted Cruz, we are well on our way to doing just that.  But we need your support if we are going to be successful and finish the work we all started in 2010.

I hope Ted Cruz pulls this off. My home state just had a major TEA Party victory with the defeat of Richard Lugar. This Tuesday, there is an important primary in Nebraska. Deb Fischer is the right choice there.

We need TEA Party conservatives in the down-ballot races since Romney will probably be the nominee.

He is an attorney representing a chineese company that stole the intellectual property of a Texas company, which resulted in 100 texans losing their jobs. A US federal court ruled against the chineese, and Cruz continues to represent them while they are appealing the ruling and continuing to produce the product they are making without paying licensing fees.

Sorry - doing a John Edwards imitation for a pack of chineese thieves does not sound conservative to me. Sounds more like a smarmy rat bastard lawyer lining his pockets with filthy money.

Just like every other whore we get to “choose” from and send to DC, while we are left home wondering why the country swirls deeper down the bowl.

First Bachmann wins the Iowa Straw Poll. Then Romney wins the early count of the Iowa Caucuses, and within a shake of a lamb’s tail Santorum wins in the late count.

Now an FR article predicts that Ron Paul will have the majority of voting delegates from Iowa.

If Paul’s plan to cut 1 TRILLION dollars in year-to-year Federal spending, AND abolish 5 Federal Departments are the main reasons for Iowa Delegates to thaw out their opposition to Paul, then it might later be said that “the way Iowa goes, so goes the Nation.”

BTW, “T” is for Texas, Tampa and those of us who are TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY!”

_____________

Here are some more reasons to vote for Ron Paul in the remaining Primary elections:

1.) It will drive the Liberal Agenda Media (LAM) and their Rove-style political consultants NUTS!

2.) It will deny statistical support to Romney.

3.) It could result in an OPEN Convention in Tampa.

4.) It would irritate the snot out of the GOP-E.

5.) It will put the GOP-E on notice that we think that their RINO Party has done NOTHING since we sent 89 TEA Party men and women to the US Congress in 2010.

6.) An OPEN Convention is our ONLY chance of a successful DUMP ROMNEY campaign.

7.) A superb, true “Dark Horse” Republican Nominee needs an OPEN Convention to replace Romney.

BTW, did I mention the sheer joy of watching the GOP-Endorsers publicly eating crow?

___________________

What the Liberal Agenda Media has never figured out, is that the 2012 National Election will be the last National Election where Campaign topics other than the National Debt will be debated again.

IOW, when the grim reaper of financial reality forces Federal Politicians in “both” parties to pay the US Bond owners before payments to our Entitlement recipients, it will terminate discussion on the main topics that we chatter about so far in 2012.

This National election is all about the money, your grandchildren’s descendant’s money.

Ron Paul is to old and to disliked as being different from what most voters picture a US President to look and sound like to win the Nomination.

Ron Paul is our last, best chance to have an OPEN Convention in Tampa, and for that alone he deserves our Primary voter support.

Paul has soldiered on through this entire Primary Campaign. Let us help him establish a beachhead on the Shores of Tampa!

My Favorite Dark Horse was R Sc US Senator Jim DeMint, but I have been told by those in the know that Jim will not run for POTUS.

Fortunately, there are many other great potential nominees who would be far more acceptable to us than any of the Primary Candidates so far, but a “Dump Romney” action requires an OPEN Convention.

For those who object to Paul as a Nominee, then treat him as a tired old political soldier who will, with our help, win the Battle to achieve an OPEN Convention in Tampa.

THEN the delegates can win the War, and choose the best Nominee to solve our National Debt Problem.

Remember, this election is all about the money, your grandchildren’s descendant’s money - - - - .

What is the best way that you can use your Primary vote to help the financial future of YOUR descendants?

I like this guy-

Legislation

Childhood legislation

He is known by his “Texas Children First” initiative which is part of cracking down on child sexual predators in Texas and throughout the United States. The initiative includes extending statute of limitations on child sex crimes and leading the passage of Jessica’s Law. David Dewhurst is also attempting to pass legislation that would allow for the death penalty to be imposed on second time violent child predators. This bill has received some controversy as it has been asserted by some that the death penalty for anything other than murder is unconstitutional. No one has been executed in the US for a crime other than murder since 1964.

As a fellow Texan, I urge you to learn the facts in this case. The Dewhurst campaign, Cruz's opponent pushing this smear, is deceitful in the extreme.

Read all the Dewhurst lies in this story and the truth at Dewhurst's China Lies.

Here is just one example of the eleven lies in this story:

Dewhurst Lie #9:
Ted Cruz is “killing American manufacturing jobs.”

Truth:
This lawsuit has not impacted even a single American manufacturing job.
In the 1990s, long before Mr. Fishman filed the lawsuit that David Dewhurst is trying to use to to smear Ted Cruz, Fishman moved his entire mining tire manufacturing to China. Fishman decided two decades ago to use Chinese labor, not American labor, to manufacture tires.

I am more determined than ever to see Dewhurst defeated after learning the facts in this case, and reading about Ted Cruz's actual record where he represented a large manufacturer before the U.S. Supreme Court against a Chinese company that had stolen a U.S. patent.

After further consideration, I will admit that my opinion on the candidates in this election is “evolving”. Cruz does look pretty good, even if he is a trial lawyer.

Dewhurst Lie #1:

Ted is a “trial lawyer.”

Truth:

Ted is not a trial lawyer, a term that typically applies to plaintiffs’ lawyers who try cases to juries. Ted is an appellate lawyer—a lawyer who argues to courts of appeals and helps ensure that U.S. law is properly applied—and Morgan Lewis is representing the defendant, not the plaintiff, in this lawsuit.

*

Dewhurst Lie #2:

The defendants “hired Ted.”

Truth:

Ted works for a large law firm, with over 1,200 lawyers all over the world. The firm represents thousands of clients in tens of thousands of matters. One of those cases is a private civil lawsuit among several commercial tire companies, one of which is based in China. After that company was hit with a $26 million judgment, it hired the firm where Ted works to handle the appeal.

*

Dewhurst Lie #3:

Ted is “the lead lawyer” in the case.

Truth:

Ted had nothing whatsoever to do with the trial. Neither Ted nor Morgan Lewis represented anyone at trial. Ted was one of many lawyers working for multiple parties on both sides of the appeal. Ted helped edit the appellate briefs. Ted did not even argue the appeal—three other lawyers argued the appeal before the 4th Circuit.

*

Dewhurst Lie #4:

The plaintiff prevailed on “every single count.”

Truth:

The district court threw out several of the plaintiff’s claims, both before and after trial. Specifically, the district court dismissed the registered-trademark claim, nine of the eleven unregistered-trademarks claims, and Plaintiff’s claim under the Virginia Business Conspiracy Act. Together, those dismissed claims represented nearly half of the substantive counts submitted to the jury.

*

Dewhurst Lie #5:

The defendants were found “guilty.”

Truth:

Nobody was found “guilty” of anything; a guilty verdict occurs in a criminal proceeding, and this was a civil lawsuit. Furthermore, Ted did not represent anyone in any capacity at trial.

*

Dewhurst Lie #6:

“What does Cruz do? Delays the case.”

Truth:

An appeal is an ordinary part of civil litigation, and all three tire companies (including the Plaintiff) appealed the decision—so Morgan Lewis’ work on the appeal has not delayed the litigation even a single day.

*

Dewhurst Lie #7:

The defendants are simply “waiting for the plaintiff to die.”

Truth:

Plaintiff is quoting a statement made by another company—one that Morgan Lewis does not represent. Morgan Lewis has done nothing to delay the proceedings, and, in the course of litigation, Plaintiff himself has filed three motions for extension of time to delay the proceedings.

*

Dewhurst Lie #8:

Ted supports and profits from “Chinese counterfeiting.”

Truth:

Again, Ted did not argue this appeal. He did however, argue, before the U.S. Supreme Court, a major case involving a stolen U.S. patent. Global Tech v. SEB. Ted represented a large manufacturer before the U.S. Supreme Court against a Chinese company that had stolen a U.S. patent. At Ted’s urging, the Court, 8-1, upheld a $5 million verdict against the Chinese counterfeiter and adopted a strict legal standard against those who misappropriate U.S. intellectual property.

*

Dewhurst Lie #9:

Ted Cruz is “killing American manufacturing jobs.”

Truth:

This lawsuit has not impacted even a single American manufacturing job. In the 1990s, long before Mr. Fishman filed the lawsuit that David Dewhurst is trying to use to to smear Ted Cruz, Fishman moved his entire mining tire manufacturing to China. Fishman decided two decades ago to use Chinese labor, not American labor, to manufacture tires.

*

Dewhurst Lie #10:

This case is about an American company vs. a Chinese company.

Truth:

This is a lawsuit between two Chinese factories, both of which manufacture tires. All of Fishman’s mining tires are manufactured in China. He is partners with a Chinese company, GTC, which he stated under oath manufactures all of his tires. His company, he stated, does no manufacturing whatsoever.

*

Dewhurst Lie #11:

Jordan Fishman is an “American businessman and manufacturer.”

Truth:

While Jordan Fishman is himself an American, his business is not American. His company is based in the notorious tax haven of the Channel Islands in Europe. Fishman has been operating this business offshore for 30 years. It does not manufacture any products, and Fishman testified he spends as much as eight months a year in China running his Chinese factory.

Kudos to Sarah and Tea Party Express for endorsing that great constitutional conservative, Ted Cruz, for the U.S. Senate from Texas.

But it would be nice for TPX not to say in its e-mails that Indiana’s next Senator, Richard Mourdock, was the candidate that Sarah endorsed for U.S. Senator *from Nebraska*. TPX should get someone to read its e-mails before hitting “send.”

Speaking of Nebraska, Sarah recently endorsed Deb Fischer for U.S. Senator from Nebraska. TPX should endorse Mrs. Fischer as well and help her defeat establishment Republican Jon Bruning in the prinary and liberal retread Bob Kerrey in the general.
