The Muslim population in America has doubled in the last 10 years.

In another 10 years we'll be getting anal inspections when we ride a train or go through a toll booth.

America has become something akin to a street whore, willingly taking on the infection of Mohamed, and giving up all dignity.

Last summer I went to see statue of liberty and I was enraged. I had to go trough a TSA security check. Take off the shoes, the whole bit. It took an hour for my blood pressure to go down. The place was overflowing with Muzzies, all eager to get pics of lower Manhattan while on the boat.

I gave up flying to avoid this crap. Apparently, now I have to give up living in America.

Does anyone know of a country that refuses Islam so that they can then live with freedom?

Maybe all this stuff is making me more paranoid than usual, but here’s an incident for y’all to ruminate over.

During a neighborhood wide garage sale last week, some unknown guy stops by and asks wife if we have any “hunting equipment” for sale. Wife refers him to me.

Guy walks up to me and repeats inquiry. Guy looks like classic middle aged LE type. Spins vague yarn about living “.. down at the the end of a local dirt road in a converted barn” because he’s recently re-immigrated to Kalifornia from Texas. Casts negative comments towards Texas. He reveals that his need for “replacement equipment” is due to having sold all his stuff when he moved to Texas?????

He then proceeds to start with inquires about availability of any long guns, claims his possesses “all the right licenses” (whatever that meant), and moves right on to “any hand guns available?” when I deflect his “hunting equipment” inquiry by claiming lack of interest in such activities.

Upon my referring him to the local, once a month operational gun club for possible sources of “hunting equipment”, from some ACTIVE hunters, it gets REAL interesting.

Now, he claims can’t wait for the next active day at the gun club because he has been invited on a “real great” hunting trip in the next day or two.

The implications here are:
(1) an unknown person strolling throughout our entire neighborhood asking every homeowner if the possessed any “hunting equipment” to open a conversation which rapidly led to discussion of handgun possession
(2) same unknown person implying a willingness to engage in firearms transactions that violate every law in the book on the subject WRT waiting periods, particularly if he indeed possessed “all the right licenses”.

I was uncomfortable at the time and have not been able to adjust this incident into harmless inquiry and just paranoia on my part.

The Goons have mounted worse projects than what this one appears to be to me (think ATF, DOJ and Eric Holder’s Fast & Furious gunwalking project).

Scary times my friends ........... Be REAL careful WHO you talk to and WHAT you say .......

Someone in Obama’s administration must have read Matt Brackens “Enemies: Foreign and Domestic” written ten years ago. In EFAD, The government created FIST to do highway checks.

If you haven’t read any of Matt’s (Travis McGee) books, you are missing something. Start with EFAD and read them all.

Good advice.

What sort of troubles me, deep in the recesses of my min, is that if the government has the authority to randomly stop people in their private cars, driving down public roads and have the authority to search your car-—what more can they do? How much further can they go?

This whole scenario is pretty scary.

The government always starts with a little step and then, before anyone much notices, it has turned into a nightmare.

The TSA is an example—didn’t most of us want the security of knowing that a plane we boarded was free of “terrorists”?

Now the TSA has their own form of terrorism..........

I have recently seen signs along a highway where I live that says drug search ahead. I personally have not been on the highway when they are occurring. Has anyone else seen this type of activity where you live and under what law can they randomly stop a car and have a dog walk around it and sniff for drugs?

The hwy patrol pull this one every so often on I55 in the middle of nowhere between St Louis and Cape Girardeau.

There is no "Drug Search" on the main hwy but at the bottom of an exit right after the sign there is.

The drug mules panic and get off the road to go around the supposed search and right into the arms of the hwy patrol.

It's surprisingly effective.
The locals who happen to actually use that exit are known by the hwy patrolman who lives there are just waved thru.

Along with what you said about the real trap at the next exit, such checkpoints also rely on video cameras with powerful zoom lenses, often located on a highway overpass ahead of the bogus “drug search” sign. They are observing cars through the front windshield for sudden activity, including tossing anything out of a window.

I seem to recall a case regarding refusal to cooperating with a search or telling them to go get a warrant, then escalates to probable cause. It was just a few months ago we were discussing it right here on FR.

Thank you, George W. Bush and the Republican Congress at the time

So many warned that in the wrong hands the Patriot Act would/could be abused. The 'sunset' was overturned because we failed to neutralize the threat in a timely fashion.

And now it is in abusive hands. There is a huge lesson to be learned and a lot of damage to be undone, that the election in November isn't going to fix...

Now is the time to read that book from cover to cover.

They depend on intimidation. A mom of three, with kids in the car, may well know that her car cannot be searched without a warrant or a specific suspicion. However will she run the risk of being abused, shouted at, guns waved around, kids scared, everyone prevented from leaving for a long time, and so on?

The TSA have become the terrorists.

They pull me over, they better have a warrant or proof I’ve violated a traffic law. If it’s a “random” search, they won’t like the response.

I will NOT tolerate being treated as such. They try to arrest me and I’ll make it worth the charges. TSA had better start backing the hell off before it gets real ugly.

Nope, it’s not their highway, it’s the public highway. My taxes helped build it and maintain it. I will NOT be molested by TSA on it or anywhere I travel.

TSA puts their hands on me, I’m putting my hands on them. It’s that simple. They touch my child and the event will go down in history.

It appears that they are testing this out at truck weigh stations where all commercial drivers have to stop anyway. Adding these random searches to that routine.

I do not have a problem with them asking folks to be aware and to report actviity...but I believe most American already do that.

I do have a problem with these warrantless, random searches.

If and when they start setting up road blocks along the highways and stop everyone doing the same, is when they will have problems with John Q public.

That will be coming. Any of us with conservative congressmen (and that’s a mority of us) or Senators (hopefully to be a majority soon) must contact them in the strongest terms and complain about this infringement of our rights and violation of the constitution.

No probable cause, warrantless, infringement on our right to travel simply because we are traveling. That leads to abject tyranny...of course, for the “good” of us all.

I think you are naive about that. Sure, they’d like to catch a 10-100 kilo load, but that is like finding a needle in a million haystacks. All they need is “probable cause” to stop John Q Citizen and toss his car. If they find so much as an old pot pipe, they own you. Or cash, such as for a cash-only auction. They’ll just take the cash. Or a firearm that is not kosher in that jurisdiction. Bingo, they own you again. They do this all the time. “Policing for profit.”

No grounds....just the way it is.

They have to confer up the chain of command to determine if there might be probable cause, even consult a judge.

Follow up question is “am I being detained?”

Follow up question (if yes) is “how about my Miranda warning?”

Frankly, I'd pull out the cell phone and punch in 911. I'd ask for the Sheriff's office and ask them if they knew there are guys running around their county stopping people and digging through their stuff and claiming to be TSA.

That could get really interesting.

Not all trucks are stopped at the weigh stations now. They have weigh-in-motion sensors in the roadway now with in-cab transponders for the drivers. Electronic signs on the road that say... TRUCK MUST EXIT TO WEIGH STATION or TRUCK OK TO BYPASS.

These check points I’m seeing are at different locations separate from the weigh stations.

Wow. Last time I was in a vehicle that was checked was LITERALLY in E. Germany in 1990. We were stationed in Germany and driving through the East German corridor to Berlin. It was at the time the wall was coming down and East Germans were escaping right and left to the west.

Before our route began to Berlin, we were provided a “notebook” with the official designated stops we were instructed to take. No driving through — you had to pull off at the stops and show them your papers.

Each detainment would take AT LEAST 20 minutes. At night they’d have cars parked facing you with their brights shining in your eyes. They’d shuffle through your stuff, pace back and forth, smoke a cigarrette, shuffle them some more, and then give them back. It’s like they were just screwing with you. Of course, as we were Americans, they probably were.

I’ll never forget it. Creepiest experience ever.

Americans here don’t really know what’s coming to them.

You are correct, but remember this.

I have cops in my family. When someone starts playing those games, they make that persons life very, very, uncomfortable.

In many areas, you can be charged with “assault of an officer” for little or no cause. If you do start to play that game, do it where there is cameras and a large number of people. Don’t do it in a small room or the results will not be what you expect.

Cops are not your friends.

Typical DOT weigh station inspections do not involve cargo unless there is some sign that the cargo isn’t stable.

I get pulled over into one of these and you can damn well bet I’m telling them to bring a DOT officer over to give me Level 2 or 3 paperwork, and if they open my cargo they are giving me a level 1 or special level 4. I’m also calling company legal and company security as soon as my cargo seal gets broken.
