Vice President Biden today spoke in Atlanta to The Rabbinical Assembly, an international group of more than 1,600 conservative rabbis.
A moment of levity early on….
The rabbi introducing him says, with Biden standing behind him to his right: “Were Joe Biden not the Vice President of the United States, but still a senator from the state of Delaware, a position that he held with great distinction for 36 years, it would still be a signal…”
At the mention of how long he served in the Senate, Biden makes the sign of the cross on himself – to laughter and applause from the rabbis in the audience.

I think he made the Sign of the Cross over himself because he knew he was going to tell a whopper. LOL... He knew he was going to tell the Rabbis that the Obama administration was the best friend that Israel ever had. With that, he knew God could strike him with lightening for the lie...so he made the appropriate gesture to protect himself and invoke God’s forgiveness.
I think that breathalizers should be placed in the White House,Senate and House.The President,Vice-President and all members of Congress need to be checked every day,minimum.If they’re drunk,send ‘em home.Get caught drunk about 3 times,boot ‘em.

The Priest and the Rabbi

A priest and Rabbi are on the same flight. The entire time the plane is in the air the priest is trying to convert the Rabbi. The Rabbi politely listens and tries to go on about his business. All of a sudden the plane goes into a terrible nose dive.
A few minutes later, with the plane on the ground, in shambles around their feet and all the other people dead the priest looks up, and to his amazement he sees the Rabbi perform the sign of the cross.
The priest runs over to the Rabbi and in a very excited voice says "I knew it, I knew it, I have converted you!", the Rabbi looks at the priest and says "What converted, spectacles, testicles, wallet and watch."
I can’t read anything about this dork without thinking, “Heh. Doofus...”

OK, off topic, but I gotta throw this out there.
Hubby and I are listening to “The Stand” by Stephen King.
It’s a really , really long book and I was talking about it on another thread a few days ago.
It really gets into your head this book, or at least it has gotten into mine.
Now, here’s the thing: in the book the old religious woman, Mother Abigail is presented as a good Republican and also a very good Protestant, Methodist I think, but I’m not sure.
Yet, at one scary part of the story our gentle author has her make “the sign of the cross” and I said to hubby, that’s wrong, only Catholics do that, I can’t imagine a woman like this doing that. I’m Catholic, Hubby’s Presbyterian and he agreed that it was strange.
OK, so, I’m just throwing it out there for comments.
I do now understand why people read this book multiple times.
If it doesn’t end too badly I might actually “read” it again myself.
And I rarely do that.

Not understanding all the ins and outs of the Jewish religion, why do “conservative rabbis” have a liberal, evil ghoul like Biden at their convention? Does Conservative mean something all together different to Jews, than what it means to the rest of us, when it comes to labeling themselves? What does “conservative rabbi” mean?
He’s a retard. World class.
Which one, abortion or gay marriage? Someone who knows will answer, but I don’t think even advocacy rises to the level of excommunication.
