Evangelical pastor tells Obama he's disappointed [but supportive]
Atlanta Journal-Constitution ^ | 5/9/12 | Rachel Zoll

The evangelical pastor who President Barack Obama calls his spiritual adviser says he's disappointed in the president's decision to endorse same-sex marriage.

The Rev. Joel Hunter of Florida told The Associated Press that Obama called him before ABC News broadcast the announcement Wednesday.

Hunter says he told the president he disagreed with his interpretation of what the Bible says about marriage. Hunter says the president reassured him he would protect the religious freedom of churches who oppose gay marriage.

Hunter says the announcement makes it harder for him to support Obama, but he will continue to do so

Prediction: Obama loses not one single vote over this, maybe gains votes from brainwashed public-school grads and gay GOP contingent. Meanwhile, Romney's tepid response further diminishes conservative support.

. . . until after the election, when he'll have more flexibility.

Hey Joel......fellow brother in Christ.....but I don’t claim to be anyone’s “leader”......does the phrase “useful idiot” mean a thing to you?

This is incredible. The President goes to the Bible for justification to support gay marriage? The President has to actually state that he won't persecute churches? What the hell is going on with my country?

Hunter has roots in the United Methodist Marxist Church.

Wrong. Obama loses critical votes over this. Church-going black America has a real, tangible reason to vote against him, and in this economy don’t be surprised if they do.

So he is pro-homosexuality and pro-abortion....and it’s considered off-limits to challenge his Christianity?

I’d say its pretty far-fetched to associate him with Christianity. He tried to throw a little scripture into his statement today - the golden rule. I’m not quite sure how that makes homosexuality suddenly acceptable, but, whatever.

I pray that independents are quietly setting their minds to vote this dangerous man out of office.

Obama will protect the churches like he protects them from having to hand out contraceptives and perform abortions. /s

I guess Rev Hunter hasn't yet figured out that Osama’s an atheist.

What’s next for Obama? The teachings of the Bible support abortion? This guy’s anti-Christ material.

I agree. Blacks don’t support the homosexual agenda. Period.

Yep. They are HIGHLY offended that homosexuals claim the mantle of ‘civil rights’. Rightly so.

CBS nightly news—or whatever they call it—reported on how Hispanics might react to Obama’s support of gay marriage. Found it interesting that they NEVER mentioned a word about Black opposition to this same issue. Seems it’s not something they want to publicize.

Nah, this will be seen as naked political expediency. It’ll peel off more independents which is where he will lose this election.

Perhaps Obama should keep his mouth shut so it won’t interfere with his gay sex life.

Remember,
There are those who believe something, and therefore will tolerate nothing; and on the other hand, those who tolerate everything, because they believe nothing!

When Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago had all of Obama’s butt buddies killed off then now I guess Rev. Joel Hunter can now “make it” by being the shit-head-in chief’s “spiritual advisor”. Pathetic.
