Jon Lovitz chatted with Bill OReilly on Wednesday about Lovitzs profane comments about President Obama.
OReilly pegged the remarks as disrespectful acknowledging Lovitzs perspective, but asserting that anyone in the office of the presidency deserves to be respected.
You were kind of disrespectful, OReilly said. Do you feel bad about that?
No, because you have to put it in context, Lovitz replied, specifying that hes a comedian, and the nature of that is to be just open and honest. What you cant say on television, you can say in a private club, he said.
OReilly agreed, but noted that in todays day and age, everythings instantly shared online. Even though hes sympathetic, he said, I want the presidency, the office to be respected. I dont want those people using those kinds of terms to describe any president. Do you see my point?

Ted Baxter can shut his populist pie hole.
Just to call this impostor "President" is an insult to every American who ever lived.
This anti-American muslim, illegal alien, traitor deserves no respect!
how can you disrespect a forger, fraud, usurper communist.
FUBOR!
Øbama is a piece of $#1t.
with all due respect to small pieces of excrement.
The BOR is still drinking the Flavor-Aid I see.
O’Really being O’Really—hey, Bill, Obama can k-ss my a$$.
I haven’t watched Bill O’Reilly since 2004 when he said the Swift Boat vets had no right to be heard. I can’t imagine why any conservative would.
I have to say (even though I probably agree with stuff he said about 0bama, although probably not the terminology), I tire of people hiding behind the "comedian" label who use all the finesse of a jackhammer in a sandbox when dealing with politics and claim "comedy" when they commit the second sin of not even being funny about it. (And "foul" just makes it worse.)
It's right there with newspeople who can't decide if they're reporters or commentators or editorializers, or all of the above at the same time.
If you read the whole article, Jon Lovitz caves in to O’Reilly. Another worthless “entertainer.”
BO is such a putz!
O’Reilly is Mr PC. He is arrogant, pompous, and annoying.
I make it a habit to not watch his show because he is a loudmouth and believes his opinion is the only one with merit. In short, he is an idiot not worth my time.
An old Navy E-9 Chief Petty Officer told me when I was an Ensign that “you had to give respect to receive it.”. While I greatly respect a Commanding Officer position, if he or she (now) didn’t deserve respect I couldn’t give it to the person!
You’ll be getting hate mail from toilets all over the country.
BO=JO
Hey Bill! If you think Lovitz was disrespectful you should come and talk to me and my buds!
I quit even before that. Still can’t understand the respect some here on FR still give the blowhard!
I stopped watching Bill O’Reilly a Year ago....
I havent missed a thing.
He interupts every Guest and barks out His opinions as if they trump any of his Guest’s.
He is a pompous Turd sniffer.
There was visible enmity between the two on the subject....but after saying his piece Miller backed off rather than fight with the host. The segment was very tense, in my opinion.
An unsmiling Ken Cuccinelli, Virginia Attorney General, also lambasted O'Reilly tonight in regards to the Norfolk racial beating and O'Reilly's week-long reportage of same. There was also thinly veiled hostility in the interaction between the two.
All in all, not a very good night for the Bloviator who is used to having his own way and the last word on everything.

A flaming liberal like John Lovitz finally speaks some truth about Obama and Mr. Fair and Balanced feels the urge to chastise him. What a pandering-to-the-left freakin’ moron O’Reily is.
Bill is an egotistical jack-ass. Mr. “fair and balanced” my arse.
The day he called Ibrahim Hooper a quote, “stand up guy”, you know.. the guy who is the national communications director and spokesperson for the council on American islamic relations (CAIR), was the day I finally said to H@#% with Bill O’Reily.
Hey Bill, truth is what’s fair. Pandering to cretins in order to “appear” fair and balanced does not make one “acutally” fair and balanced.
Respect is earned.
Baxter genuflicts for an opportunity to interview Obama once again.
He who does not have the courage to speak up for his rights cannot earn the respect of others. - Rene G. Torres quotes
Any excuse will serve a tyrant - Aesop
The tyrant always talks as if he's preserving the best interests of his people when he actually acts to undermine them. Ramman Kenoun
Every tyrant who has lived has believed in freedom - for himself Elbert Hubbard quotes
Both oligarch and tyrant mistrust the people, and therefore deprive them of their arms. - Aristotle quotes
Any dictator would admire the uniformity and obedience of the U.S. media. Noam Chomsky
It is a paradox that every dictator has climbed to power on the ladder of free speech. Immediately on attaining power each dictator has suppressed all free speech except his own - Herbert Hoover
Perhaps the fact that we have seen millions voting themselves into complete dependence on a tyrant has made our generation understand that to choose one's government is not necessarily to secure freedom - Friedrich August von Hayek
I'll go get some popcorn - be right back.
You got it right! It was Flavor-Aid,not Kool-Aid that the people at Jonestown drank.
Why is it nobody screamed when "comedians" solicited presidential assassins against George Bush but the mildest rebuke of the current regime is seen as a Nuremberg crime?
AMEN
BOR purposefully playing a strained center position so he can interview the president on his show at a future date. PERIOD!
Right there with you! O’Bloviator was done right then with the missus and me.
LOL.
I feel bad for laughing at this.
I just got done watching a program about Jonestown on History Channel Two.
They played an actual recording of Jones’last words and he sounded like he might have been high. He did a lot of drugs.
Do you happen to know how many days it took for the news of the deaths to reach the U.S.?
I haven’t had Kool-Aid in a while;I would put WAY too much sugar in it,LOL.
Because it actually is a fair-and-balanced show, unlike, say, ABC/NBC/CBS/CNN or Hannity/Rush. If you only want your viewpoint parroted back to you watch one of the other shows. O’Reilly is the show to watch if you like hearing debate and a variety of opinions on an issue. The typical trope for O’Reilly-haters here on FR is to post an opinion of O’Reilly’s that they disagreed with and then claim he’s an idiot and they’ll never watch the show. Which means you simply miss the point of a fair-and-balanced show where you’re going to be exposed to a mix of opinions you like and ones you don’t. With O’Reilly, you know you’ll almost always get to hear both opinions on an issue in a debate format. Which is what makes it one of the most interesting and entertaining news programs on TV.
No, you have it 100% completely backwards. The people who host purely liberal or conservative shows are the ones who believe their opinions are the only ones with merit. Because O'Reilly always brings guests on who vehemently disagree with him or with each other, he proves that he respects and gives voice to a variety of opinions. You're free to dislike his aggressive personality, but I prefer to watch entertaining shows and not snoozefests where people do nothing but monologue endlessly or be "polite" and "civil" to each other. Yawn.

"It's fun to do something funny and have the director laughing.
It makes you feel good." -- Jon Lovitz
Lovitz going off on Obama and the Buffet tax was excellent.
Three days?
It took three days? Damn.
Unless you’re taking a guess. I didn’t know so that’s why I asked you. Nowadays it would be within minutes.
I remember it on the news when I was a kid. From what I remember reading about it later it took a few days for the world to know because Congressman Ryan’s delegation was murdered as well as several journalists with him.
I’m leaning toward the story that it was a CIA op for indoctrinating Americans with Marxist ideology. Jim Jones didn’t want that to be found out so that’s why he had everyone killed with cyanide-laced Flavor-Aid.
The Swift Boat vets fought and bled for this country. Who the heck is BOR to say war veterans have no right to be heard?
BOR has also trashed the Tea Party.
He's a liberal who pretends to be independent so he can appease the left on what is widely considered to be a conservative leaning news network. I have no use for him.
And declare their hate of him, anyway.
Why don’t they replace Ted Baxter with Laura Ingrahm she is 3 times smarter and a true conservative.
Congressman Ryan didn’t even need to go down there. It says a lot about him that he did.
How many other politicians would have? Probably none.
Only 1/3 of the people were ID’d.
I haven’t watched him in a while either.
