Out of Control was the first national network television documentary to examine how and why AIDS has become overwhelmingly a Black epidemic--not in Africa or the Third World, but right here in the United States.
Blacks make up 13% of the total US population, but over 50% of all new cases of HIV infection. That infection rate is eight times the rate of whites. Among women, the statistics are even more shocking: 70% of all new HIV infections are Black women, and a black woman is 23 times more likely than her white counterpart to be diagnosed with AIDS. AIDS is the leading cause of death for Black women ages 25-49, and has been for the last 11 years.
In interviews with AIDS activists, doctors, public health officials, and Black leaders, Out of Control revealed, for the first time, the political and social reasons AIDS spiraled into a crisis in Black communities across the country.
Among these was a lack of any consistent or ongoing effort to specifically address the Black epidemic by the Reagan, Clinton, and Bush administrations. And perhaps most importantly, the documentary examined a failure of mobilization and leadership in the Black community itself.
examining these controversial and difficult topics, Out of Control included the last original reporting by Peter Jennings, just before his cancer diagnosis. Jennings, who played an important role in conceptualizing the program, interviewed a group of African American HIV-positive men in Atlanta who spoke with remarkable candor about the harsh realities of dealing with AIDS in Black America.
no major African-American leader or organization had taken on AIDS in Black America as a fighting cause. While many American Black leaders and celebrities had very visibly embraced the cause of AIDS in Africa, few devoted similar energy to the epidemic here at home.

The failure of efforts in the 1990s to get federal support for needle exchange programs, which have proven successful in other countries in slowing the spread of AIDS among drug addicts, is also examined. Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health, remembers the struggle to get the Clinton administration to support such programs in the United States, knowing that without them the epidemic would continue to spread unchecked. “You could see it coming,” says Fauci. “The handwriting was on the wall for a long time.”
“Out of Control” also reports the results of studies from the Universities of Chicago and North Carolina which shed light on a complex reality that helps explain why heterosexual transmission among African Americans is so common. Black men are more than twice as likely as white men to have multiple female partners at the same time, these studies show. Rates of all sexually transmitted diseases are higher among African Americans than other groups, and once those rates start to rise, says Dr. Jim Thomas of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, “It starts a cycle. Because now when a person goes to have sex with someone, the chances that the new partner is already infected are relatively high.”

Prison homo behavior! We need to stop bowing down to homo activity in prisons! Man on man rape is used as a form of torture on other men. Homos need to be identified and removed from the general prison population.
Seriously, we are harming a lot of innocent women and children who are the receivers of the disease brewing in homo prisons.
I’m all in favor of identifying the homo sex predator prison population and hanging them until dead. It’s one of the few parts of sharia I like.
I’m hoping that someday scientists will be able to nail down the cause of how this disease gets transmitted. If we can learn how it is transmitted, someday, perhaps we can contain it.

As far as the AIDS issue goes, that is very prevalent in prison where the guy recieving oral sex does not consider themselves gay for doing it. They then come out and give it to the women in the black community. (And any other women dumb enough to sleep with them.)
