Obama announces his support for same-sex marriage
ABC OTUS News ^ | May 9, 2012 | Rick Klein

President Obama today announced that he now supports

same-sex marriage, reversing his longstanding opposition amid growing pressure

from the Democratic base and even his own vice president.

In an interview with ABC News’ Robin Roberts, the president

described his thought process as an “evolution” that led him to this place,

based on conversations with his own staff members, openly gay and lesbian

service members, and conversations with his wife and own daughters.

"I have to tell you that over the course of several

years as I have talked to friends and family and neighbors when I think about

members of my own staff who are in incredibly committed monogamous

relationships, same-sex relationships, who are raising kids together, when I

think about those soldiers or airmen or marines or sailors who are out there

fighting on my behalf and yet feel constrained, even now that Don't Ask Don't

Tell is gone, because they are not able to commit themselves in a marriage, at

a certain point I’ve just concluded that for me personally it is important for

me to go ahead and affirm that I think same sex couples should be able to get

married,” Obama told Roberts, in an interview to appear on ABC’s “Good Morning

America” Thursday. Excerpts of the interview will air tonight on ABC’s “World

News with Diane Sawyer.”

He always has been, this is just yet another miscalculated political move on his part.

The way the anti-God creep talks about Jesus is nauseating, he infers that Jesus would agree with sodomite marriage. Apparently the dunce never read this verse.

In Matthew Ch. 19 and Mark Ch. 10, Jesus says, “A man shall leave his family and be joined to his wife and the two shall become one.” He doesn’t say two men, two women, two people, a man and three women, a woman and her dog, etc.

Stop discussing fantasies about Romney. As of one hour ago he stated his “unequivocal” stand that marriage is between a man and woman only. Others have posted here how gay marriage was passed in Mass. Over his objection, followed by analyses here of how he somehow should have ignored the Mass. Supreme court, etc.

Romney opposes same sex marriage, Obama supports same sex marriage.

He’s just trying to hold a handful of states (Cal, Oregon, Wash, Vermont, Rhode Island, New York) so that he doesn’t get crushed worse than McGovern or Mondale did.

Need to ask Obama’s press secretary where he stands on pederasty... or is that position still evolving?

Funny, I would have described his so-called "thought process" as a "cynically crafted lie"...

What a terribly impotent Governor Romney must have been.

...why, that darn Massachusetts "made" Mitt do all sorts of things that he was against. *(snort)

Marriage is between one man and one woman,It’s not a conservative view but a true American view give it back soon.

Now he states this around the world then this can be used against him to many in certain communities.

For instance is a black person states they are going to vote for obama then I’ll be saying”really wow I had no idea you were for homosexuals to be married and thus teach homosexual sex t little kids in the schools”

Rest assured that while i ma not typing on here due to no PC I am getting out our message.

Good luck to all and don’t be fooled by this corrupt pro homo, cross dressing media as every state which votes, states they want normal marriage.
Marriage equality ARF then should a man marry two women, all about equality and right you know.
The word equality is a cop out and one which sounds good but then if they want equality in marriage then don’t stop at same sex, have relatives, more than one spouse etc

ARF

Right have to give this thing back and in the mean time I have to save more pennies to get myself a new PC

This was settled four years ago when Romney ran the first time. Unlike what is stated in your quote, the Mass Court did not legalize gay marriage. All their decision did was order the Mass legislature to change the law on the books that prohibited gays from marrying. Even the Mass Court in its orders stated it could not constitutionally change the law itself. But the legislature didn’t do anything. So it was Romney to the rescue for the gays. He ordered the Justices of the peace and the clerks to marry gays, or they would be fired. No law was changed by the legislature which is what the Mass Court had demanded.

But the quote correctly stated that Romney was reluctant about backing a state constitutional amendment defending marriage. They asked him about supporting one in 2002 when something could have been done, but he refused saying that it would be too extreme a measure. He later changed his mind and reluctantly supported one in 2004, but since gay marriage had already been instituted by him, it was too late. The damage had already been done. Once Romney gave the gays what they wanted, the democrats who controlled the Mass legislature saw no need to do anything more. To this day the legislature has not allowed the people of Mass to decide anything. So by Romney’s executive order we have gay marriage in Massachusetts.

And regardless of what the liberal Wikipedia has to say, Mitt Romney is the real reason there is gay marriage in Massachusetts today.

“Project 10” has been around for a long time. It’s the method of “jamming” that the left uses to impose their worldview whenever possible. The idea was to assert, at any given opportunity, that 10% of the population are homos.

Gallup polling recently showed that on average U.S. citizens think 20% of the population is homosexual. Their article explained this was a massive overestimation since other polling shows the actual homosexual population is around 2% I think it was. So "Project 10" has been a smashing success 2 times over.

North Carolina is gone. Obama will lose every Southern state, including, Virginia, Florida and Texas. And....his losses of other states mount as every day passes. Remember, I predicted a few days back, Obama will only carry between eight to twelve states and lose the POTUS in a landslide defeat. He is on his way to a massive defeat. And....even better....he will take many other Democrat political hacks with him.

Well, not everybody believes in evolution, Mr. Zero.

Furthermore, some of us call that "place" Sodom, and you know what happened to it?

As for coming to this..."place" after consulting your daughters, who are 13 and 10 years old -- I trust they know as much about homosexuality as Amy Carter did about nuclear weapons?

"Personally he strike me as the “Woman” in the relationship if you know what I mean LOL!"

Have you seen the video of his sons with Mike Wallace? "Bi" comes to mind with at least half of them. There is no doubt there is a genetic link to some serious gay traits going on here. Also some highly publicized artificial insemination with at least one of the Romney offshoots.

I'm sure it will all be made abundantly clear, after Mitt is President, in which case I predict a surprise(!) revelation or two in the GOP future. (That's progress in the direction of demoralization of the USA, whether you have an "R" or a "D"..ain't it grand, gay and flamboyant.)
