"Over the past two weeks, we sent our complaint about Jon Stewarts vagina manger stunt of April 16 to the major sponsors of The Daily Show; we made sure they received a copy of the picture flashed on the screen of a naked woman with her legs spread with a nativity scene ornament in between. We are pleased with Deltas response, and are awaiting a reply from others, many of which were contacted only this week. But we were taken aback by this response from Kelloggs: We understand that our customers come from a variety of backgrounds, experiences, lifestyles, and cultures and we respect their individual decisions to choose the television programs that they deem acceptable for themselves and their families. Consumers speak most loudly when they vote with their remote control and change the channel or turn off the TV if a program does not fit their personal criteria.

Yup, use the remote and turn the channel today, then buy Quaker Oats bagged cereals tomorrow. They are cheaper, just as good and don’t sponsor Christian haters.
I think Kellogg's nailed it. I don't watch him at my house, and change the channel every time I see him being advertised. I opt not to support Jon Stewart; that said, you are free to watch him as much, or as little, as you would like.
List of Kellogg products

No more PopTarts in this house. Sorry Dad.
Here’s the webpage with the products:

I’m boycotting all of them.
BOYCOTT the jerks...
If you haven’t tried the Quaker (or other brand) “Steel Cut Oats”, you are missing out. It’s the oats that are cut, but are not steamed, rolled, re-cooked and toasted (this removes much of the protein and nutrition). Seriously, this process takes a lot of the protein out of the oats - which is then dried and made into other products. The Steel Cut Oats take a full 30 minutes to cook - but they are so creamy and good - you’ll never go back to oatmeal.
Kelloggs would have nailed it if they had added the second line....
“Consumers speak most loudly when they vote with their remote control and change the channel or turn off the TV if a program does not fit their personal criteria.
....and withhold their money from companies that support, through advertising, the bigotry.
What would the Seventh Day Adventists who founded Kelloggs think of this?
We are going to the store today. Thanks for the hint!
I’ll bet they can be made in a Crock Pot. Set them up the night before, hot breakfast in the morning!

Got that right!
Maybe the 14,000 Knights if Columbus councils in the USA should boycott them.
The really funny part is that I don’t have cable. I couldn’t turn the channel if I tried.
But I can skip the PopTarts and actually pull my dollars for real.
I agree. Spread the word.
Nice historical context.
“What would the Seventh Day Adventists who founded Kelloggs think of this?”
I would hope they would be as offended and outraged as we are.
I love throwing in some dried cranberries and sliced almonds - that and some brown sugar. But, be warned - this stuff is CREAMY!! As in it’s comparable to regular oatmeal made with heavy whipping cream.
What else do you expect from people who poison children?
“Nice historical context.”
I can’t take credit for it, but thanks. Crystal clear.
Interesting background on the apologies he issued in the past, eh?
“What else do you expect from people who poison children?”
Poisoning body and soul....
Thank you Huebolt.
When I was in school, our small town’s school principle’s name was “Mr. Kellog.” He started out the school year by sternly announcing “My name is Mr. Kellogg. I do not like to be called Mr. Fruit Loops or Mr. Corn Flakes”.
One day he was arrested for picking up a gay prosititute in Minneapolis and he never came back to school then.
Seven years later, during a graduation speech, the girl giving a speech was recalling found memories of our class. “Remember when we all thought there was a ghost in the auditorium? Remember when Sally left spoiled milk in her locker? Remember when Mr. Kellogg was arrested for picking up a gay prostitute?”
Amen. I don’t eat grains, so it won’t bother me boycotting them.
When will Jon Stewart start attacking Muzzies on his show?
Son is into toaster strudels now.
Real eaters of the real oatmeal, a dish that originated in Scotland, eat it with salt. I recommend trying it.
Yup. Straight oats w/ dash of salt is the best way to do it. Maybe a spot of jelly, although thats not exactly authentic.
We make our own breakfast cereals from natural raw ingredients. Kelloggs products taste like wood by comparison.
turn off the tv, disconnect your cable tv...
then stop buying all Kellogg products
they’ll feel that
Exactly. And although the link below is humorous, Kellogg’s is highly aware of one of their most loyal consumer groups. I flunked logic in college, so I may not be the best at interpreting causation, however, it seems to me that there may be a common link between the Daily Show and Kelloggs.

I use cooked and dried steel cut oats in my breads. It makes a deliciously crunchy loaf.
“When will Jon Stewart start attacking Muzzies on his show?”
They all claim to be equal opportunity bashers....you can hear the crickets when you ask for examples of the same treatment toward muslims....
Oh YUM!!!!!
Don’t think I’ll turn off the TV entirely, but I have purchased my last Kellogs product.
Yes. Only when it affects them personally, (their bottom line), will there be a reaction.
Here’s to effecting a change by affecting the bottom line.
“We need to replicate what the Leftists did to Rush. Overwhelm Twitter and Facebook with boycott chatter. The twenty-something marketing people at Kelloggs who live on social media will get scared and think 100 million people are boycotting their products. “
You got that right. Facebook and Twitter.
Tell your dad that Pillsbury Toaster Struedel is much, much better!
As for me - I’ll stick with Nabisco Shredded Wheat instead of Special K.
“My name is Mr. Kellogg. I do not like to be called Mr. Fruit Loops or Mr. Corn Flakes.
“Remember when Mr. Kellogg was arrested for picking up a gay prostitute?
You can’t make this stuff up.
In a competitive business made even more so by a down economy, Kelloggs chooses to alienate current and potential customers? Brilliant.

“Stupid is as stupid does”
When it all turns bad they’ll blame....the Right.
I really do not like to see conservative groups seriously adopting the language of the left. As long as Kellogg does not get bullied off of conservative shows by the left, I am ok with their stance.
Now if it turns out that they advertise with a political slant, I am all in favor of letting them see if they can survive with the customers they want. But that is to my mind different than adopting the language of the left and trying to reduced free speech.
Perchance they are planning to unveil a high fiber version of granola for all those ex-hippies of the baby boomer generation.
I love them and so did my kids, even though they called them “a bowl-full of boogars”!
I, for one, am disgusted by their response.
Euuuw, no jelly - oatmeal is a savory, not a sweet.
