You have heard from me in regards to Newt’s endorsing Romney. From the very beginning of this election..Newt stated that any candidate on the stage (in the debates) would be better than Romney. He repeated that more than once on national tv.
Where have you been? as for Santorum..this is the 2nd time he endorsed Romney for president.

You may as well include Jim Robinson in that list....He has posted a very lucid direction of what needs to happen

Santorum isn’t going to accept a VP position even if Romney were to ask.....all we’re really seeing happening now is verbal endorsements to support Romney....no different then when the other candidates said they would from the beginning....and they’re all doing just that. It should be expected. Though Rick could barter more than others obviously.

Let’s see what he’s going to do with his delegates now.

Of course he does...heck it took a lot of work for him to get Romney past Newt......Mission Accopmplished!

Now he is free to go back to his East Coast Moderate Country club, go along to get along, roots.......Rick Santorum the villian in the unfolding Republican Primary election clown charade version 2012.......

Hey I’ve been a Newt supporter and commented on Newt’s endorsement as well. They’re just doing what they all said they would do from the beginning. It’s the arena they play in.... Though Rick has some bartering chips in his court..that’s just how Rick plays the game.

“Bingo! and we have ourselves to blame.”

~ ~ ~

There was hope and a chance for goodness with Santorum, now there is only evil, BHO and Romney.

I will never forget Mitt praising his own mother for her support of the greatest evil, abortion (#1 reason for God’s just judgement).

I am so sad. Pray for a “miracle.”

Then why on earth would Newt end up endorsing Romney?

I don’t claim to keep up on all this as much as I’d like because I don’t have that much time to to spend on FR.

Katie, I don’t understand why Rick’s people are surprised or even disappointed....it just goes with the territory. Rarely will the other candidates not get behind the ...well I guess I can’t say winner yet... how about the self elected winner. At any rate...it’s what they do.

You’re right it is the second time he endorsed Romney....you’d think people would be catching on to how Rick plays the game. ..and how his role is manuvered in the game.

LOL, yes he would. It is very unlikely Romney would chose Santorum, but if he did Rick would not likely pass up a once in a lifetime opportunity like that. That is not a criticism of Rick, it's just political reality. Palin knew what McCain was, but she ran with him anyway. Bush Sr. ran a very contentious campaign against Reagan, yet he did not pass up the opportunity to be the VP candidate. If Santorum believed he was an easy front runner for 2016 or 2020 then I could maybe see him declining such an offer. Unfortunately for Rick, the Republican bench has some very strong future contenders and there is no reason to believe Santorum would be especially strong in any upcoming election cycle. I very seriously doubt he'd reject a chance to run as Romney's VP if he were asked.

I was/am a Newt supporter, too.

Newt is not going to go away now. He’ll be doing what he can to defeat 0bama.

[ Yet Santorum says that, in his words, “above all else, we both agree that President Obama must be defeated.”

Yup, he’s exactly right. ]

I fear Romney cause he (at least right now) doesn;t seem like he will do jack squat to reverse the decline Obammy instigated, in fact he may only slow it down which will still cause the economy to go off the cliff only later to find out that in 4 years we get an out and out socialist in power for 2016 till perpetuity...

I would rather have a strong congress to oppose Obama for the next four years and then kick the crap outta whomever comes up from the DNC sewers to run in four years (sure as hell ain’t gonna be biden).

Because if Romney does nothing it could mean an end to the GOP. I see Romney as the next Millard Fillmore should he get elected.

I may vote Paul in the primary just to poke Mitt in the eye, but I will vote for the nominee and I will vote down ticket to hold whomever’s feet to the fire.
