Well it was the typical response when they don’t want to face the facts....or don’t know what to say...play the victim...also another defense commonly used by cults and/or their adhereants... Rather than offer something to discuss or debate to clarify themselves.

It won't be until January 2017 at the earliest that Romney would be similarly unconstrained by the need to get reelected and could attempt to throw of his conservative guise to impose some kind of Mormon subversion of the US gov’t, IMO. Prior to January 2017 I expect Romney, the man with no core, to aggressively pretend to be conservative to avoid the fate of Lugar or loss of NC and VA if he ever attempted to flip on gay marriage or abortion.

Note that just yesterday, the RCP average of polls flipped strongly in Romney's favor for the first time and the world economy appears to be rolling over dragged down by Obama-like policies in the EU, which the French have just doubled down on. I was just listening to Wolf Blitzer while surfing during my medical lie-down and Blitzer said Barry can kiss NC, VA and OH goodbye! This means he expects Romney to pick up those electoral votes. If Romney wants to get reelected unopposed he won't dare to backslide of this position or abortion.
So no remote prospect of Ron Paul getting the GOP nomination even a single electoral vote if he ran as an independent.
