Obama ramps up campaign, knocks Romney's CEO past (Obama never ran even a Lemonade Stand)

U.S. President Barack Obama used his first rallies of the 2012 campaign on Saturday to attack Republican Mitt Romney for learning the "wrong lessons" as a business executive, and promised to move the economy forward if he wins a second term.

Obama formally launched his Chicago-based re-election effort last year, but the Democratic president's own campaigning has been confined to fundraisers while the Republican Party whittled down possible nominees to run against him.

That changed this weekend. Addressing spirited crowds in Ohio and Virginia - two states that could be critical to keeping the White House - Obama tried to regain the momentum that fueled his 2008 victory while sharpening his focus on the presumptive Republican nominee.

Obama, dressed in a button-down shirt with no jacket or tie, called Romney, a former Massachusetts governor and private equity executive, a "patriotic American" whose policies would not help the middle class.

Knocking someone for being successful. Now THAT’S the American Way, huh?

Obama, and the Dems, are out of gas, and this proves it.

Yep. I think Romney should thank Obama for this one because most everyone who works for a company knows where the paycheck comes from.

Yep, he learned to ruin companies without even being employed by them.

Not a Romney fan but wasn’t he a CEO of some company that offered something of value?

So, all those Section 8 vouchers and Food Stamps, who PAYS for those?

Attacking Romney about making money is hysterical, it plays to the lowest common denominator of the illiterate or dependent or guilty (rich) people who but this jackass in the WH back in 2008.

Business pays for Government, but bureaucrats and Socialists think money and wealth come from Government. It is a fundamental difference in world views, one being the hard and sometimes harsh truth, the other is a debt and borrowing disaster to subsidize lifestyles for votes.

Obama is a massive and utter disaster.

Romney’s firm, Bain Capital, provided investment capital and management expertise to companies to be successful. He produced economic growth for the companies he was involved with, thus his success.
You seem like a person who places social issues high on the list of priorities. My sincere question for you is if given a choice between a candidate who stood issue by issue with yourself on the socon issues but was very Leftist on economic issues or a candidate who was indifferent or moderate on the social issues but a true free market pro business candidate, who would you choose.
I myself would choose the later, but I’m interested to know how Social Conservatives place the social issues over economic ones in priority of importance.

You ask me, a Christian, that ???

OK

God could care less about the economy in the US..

God’s never been poor...He owns the cattle on a thousand hills...

He walks on gold in Heaven.. the streets are full of it...

But He does have a lot to say about murder and immorality...

Now, which would God prefer me to choose ???

It's called risk taking. Some of the companies survived and others didn't but if it weren't for Bain then none of them would have survived.
The headline that you posted is very misleading because Bain never Bankrupted a company that wasn't already heading in that direction. A better headline is “Romney’s Bain Capital Made Billions While Saving Over Three-Quarters Of The Companies It Invested In”.

Sometimes the question is, "Who is more likely to repent and be saved". In God's eyes, we're all as sinful as Obama or Romney, unless one has blasphemed the Holy Spirit - I would wager Obama has more likely caused the blaspheme.

Not pushing Romney, and probably won't vote for him, but I don't try to be more discerning than He Who Created Us.

It's called risk taking.

Risk taking? This country would be in big trouble if that many companies in the S&P 500 went bankrupt!

Over 22% of their companies went bankrupt in only 8 years! Only 6% of the original S&P 500 went bankrupt in a period of 46 years. That's a factor of over 20 when adjusted for time!

Some of the companies survived and others didn't but if it weren't for Bain then none of them would have survived.

Nonsense!

Bain never Bankrupted a company that wasn't already heading in that direction.

Really? How Romney’s Firm Drove Steel Plant Into Bankruptcy, But Still Profited Thanks To Federal Bailout

Video: When Mitt Romney Came To Town

Romney’s Bain Capital Made Billions...

That's exactly right, but it was more like TENs of Billions!

I think your answer shows the division among both Republicans and Conservatives. Conservatives, from my perspective have been battling leftism throughout the post-WW2 era, while you represent the wing that supported Democrats through Carter, and came to Conservatism around 1980. The social conservatives broke from the Democrats over the cultural turmoil of the 60’s and 70’s, but still retained no real disdain for the Democrats big government statism. Example, Bob Casey Jr. crushing Rick Santorum in Pennsylvania. They both are pro-life, the social issues were off the table.
I think this election should be telling in where the citizens of the US really stand. If Romney wins, then we are truly a right of center country in fiscal and foreign issues. However if Obama wins, big government is here to stay. The only difference between the Left and Social Conservatives is where to use big government's power in running people's lives, while they both agree on the retention of the entitlement state.
