It is the heartbreaking image of the undocumented victims of war. Here, Ashley Edens collapses on the coffin of her 22-year-old husband, Army Spc. Jason K. Edens, as his body arrives in Nashville, Tennessee from service in Afghanistan. More than 100 friends, relatives and Patriot Guards gathered at Smyrna Airport to welcome the fallen soldier home on Thursday after his death on April 26.

Portrait of a widow's grief: Wife of fallen U.S. soldier weeps as she clings to his coffin as it arrives back in Tennessee
My heartfelt sorrow for her loss.
May God bless these American heroes, and comfort their families.
Sometimes a picture can portray true emotion. This image is so powerfully sad. Such loss and grief. Prayers for our troops (alive, injured and those who paid the ultimate sacrifice). Prayers for the loved ones left behind who deal with such sorrow.
Unfortunately, AP and Daily Mail images cannot be posted. Please go to link for picture.
Either scorch the earth or get out! Our men and woman in uniform are warriors...not meals on wheels.
What has happened to our leadership that we'd put such restriction on our fighting forces in rules of engagement.
Sure, we need to humanitarian. This should consist of leaflets warning the population to evacuate elderly, woman and children. Then commence destroying the enemy with all our might until they come and lay their weapons at our feet.
It is war. Not some progressive social experiment.
May warrior angels stand at the ready, defending our brave fighting forces. Amen.
Why is every patriotic and truthful article come from London?
Because zero’s father was a British subject.
I hope you and those viewing this post are able to open this link from a February 2012 presentation at the Marines Memorial Association in San Francisco by Lt. Gen. John Kelly, a Gold Star family member (pages 10 through 14):
It is a very moving speech and one that more should know about. May God bless the fallen and their families. They have given so much.
I think “punitive expedition” is a good term for what we needed to do. Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama have all failed us in that part of the world.
That picture breaks my heart.
May God bless these American heroes, and comfort their families.
BUMP
BUMP everything you said, servantboy777!
Another Armed Forces member murdered with the complicity barry hussein soetoro.
God receive the soul of Jason K Edens.
That pic will stay with me all day, along with some of the hateful comments in the article..
Thanks for linking General Kelly’s remarks. The part where he relates the process of learning of the death of a loved one is especially moving and I think something more Americans need to be more aware of. That sad scenario happens every day.
A group of motorcyclist here in the Houston area put together the “Texas Honor Ride”. We sold homemade crosses, collected donations for weeks upon weeks in an effort to give something back to our wounded warriors suffering with horrific war wounds at Brook Army Medical Center out of San Antonio.
Over two thousand bikers made the longest string of bikes heading down I-10 to BAMC.
When we arrived, some of the soldiers came to receive our gift.......all one could do is cry.
Thousands upon thousands of our brave troops lay wounded.
Our government is more worried about giving foreigners instate college tuition, allowing corporation to bring hundreds of thousands of foreigners here on H1B visas...taking jobs rehabilitated soldiers could have.
Never should our wounded war vets EVER have to worry about housing, medical care, transportation or basic necessities...ever!
Man our leadership priorities are so warped.
God bless you.
Obama and his corrupt administration have tied the hands of our glorious warriors who are giving their lives for the sake of Obamas socialist utopian dreams. The true patriotic Americans are dying while the elected powers that be sit in their ivory towers enjoying the freedoms these warriors provide.
What do we expect from a treasonous muslim kenyan who doesn’t have a patriotic bone in his corrupt body. What we are seeing is what we are getting, lies, destruction, and a progressive plague that is creeping across this country. A direct threat to our freedoms, our economy, and our lives.
I, for one intend to make the death of this glorious warrior and all the other warriors that have past before him stand for something. I intend to be a citizen warrior that will go to battle in November to depose the imposter that has not only failed as president, but one that has failed as a human being.
God bless this glorious warrior, his family and all that have gone before him.
Words do not suffice.
Very sad..when will we be done with that God forsaken country? I know there are many Afghanistan people that are blessed because of our troopers though.
Heartbreaking. Prayers for this young woman & all her family.
They are not worth our brave military lives. I’d rather them be home and protecting our border and kicking any and all out who dare to even look cross-eyed and send them back where they came from and they can blow each other up until kingdom come.
The hypocracy of code pink and the “anti-war” movement
is a stunning example of the duplicity of the left.
Prayers for his family.
Prayers for our citizen warriors.
Oh Lord, preserve our nation and protect us
from further democrat “victories”. Amen.
What a horrible waste. The best we have dying for the worst we have. Their families making such huge sacrifices while the rest are shopping at the mall or looking for new ways to scam the taxpayer. It’s enough to turn my stomach. Meanwhile our POS POTUS is in the house giving a shout out to himself.
When he's not on the golf course....
So sad for that poor girl. I pray she and the whole family will find peace and comfort through this time of great sorrow.
This was in the Nashville Tennessean yesterday. Funeral is today in Franklin....they said the idiots from Kansas are planning to be there to protest...Some of my family in Franklin are going to try to make it more difficult for them to do.
It would sure be a damn shame if any of these filthbags were to suffer a fractured skull....
My fellow Mississippians in the Brandon area gave them their money’s at a serviceman’s funeral last year. I used to grouse re: motorcycles, but now I know most of them are on the same political page that I am.
I saw the photo, when the thread was posted.
I’m glad I did not see any hateful comments.
But I had tears streaming down my face, when I logged out and had to leave.
IT TEARS YOUR HEART OUT...much like another picture found on the net of a wife lying across her husband’s grave....as well the weeping wife on the ‘Wounded Warrior’ spot on television asking requesting any support as she cares for her head injured hero’. I cant hold any of those in my head for very long....it’s just too much. I signed up for a monthly cash contribution though.
