Well said Jim.

Not time to take the ball and go home. Time to get better and stronger until we’re the ones making the rules.

Now if someone could post a “How to vote for Romney without throwing up on your ballot” it would be appreciated.

LOL. It’s going to be tough But even if Romney loses chances are that 4 years from now the conservative vote will again be split and we will be left with a mooshy rino candidate.

Fractured conservative voteing is what gave us McCain, it gave us Romney. I don’t see any way to a different outcome 4 years from now.

Most of those who will not vote for Romney (myself included) have every intention of voting down-ticket. I don't recall very many on FR saying they were taking the ball and going home. Jim just said he would not actively campaign against Romney - that is not an endorsement by any stretch.

Don't think of it as a vote "for" Romney; think of it as a vote that cancels out one vote for Obama.

JimRob's advice about downticket voting is absolutely right.

My only concern is that, even if we were to stack the House and Senate with Tea Party conservatives, given the way Obama prefers to govern — illegally, through executive orders and administrative and executive departments which write the regulations that are ensnaring us, without recourse to Congress — it may not be enough to stop him from destroying the Republic.

This criminal conspiracy MUST be removed from the Oval Office. This is the most corrupt executive I have ever seen in my life, and perhaps in all American history. I worry the Republic cannot survive four more years of it.

My two-cents' worth, FWIW.

I don’t think I have seen a single freeper that selected Romney as their first choice. I am a Newt Supporter, but to answer your question, let me make further comparisons between Romney and the Kenyan by asking you to consider the following questions: Which candidate has a deep-seated visceral hatred for America? Which candidate has a similar hatred for White Americans? Which candidate is not just a supporter of “gays”, but has exhibited such deviant behavior? Which candidate is a closet Muslim? Which candidate supports Muslim operations around the world? Which candidate has a spouse that shares the same hatred? Which candidate most hates free enterprise? Which candidate has actually earned much of his way to the top of his field and which has had everything delivered in his lap because of the race? Which candidate allies himself with marxist pigs, known terrorists, and open racists? And finally, and most importantly, which candidate has a corrupt old media on his side and has a well-planned plot to divide his opposition by making sure his opponents split their ticket, thereby assuring his second term? I will not fall for this demRAT-trap.

The bottom line is that money still controls most of politics and Romney had the money. The only way around this that I see going forward is for conservatives to come together early on ONE conservative candidate to pool our presidential resources behind.

I’m talking well beyond the boundaries of FR and the Tea Party to one candidate with broad enough support and access to resources that he/she could have both the political clout and the financial clout to win the nomination and represent most of out values (not necessarily all as politics is not about purity but about what you can accomplish).

As I see it, the problem this time was two-fold: a great many conservatives were waiting for Sarah Palin and she wound up leaving us at the altar. By the time she formally stepped out, there were too many quasi-conservatives each getting a small chunk of the vote and fighting each other.

In 2015, we must DEMAND that Palin be in or out far far sooner and have a second choice already clearly in place. Had we gone into June fully and uniformly behind another conservative, be it Cain, Perry, Newt or whomever, that candidate would have stood a far greater chance of winning the nomination and then most would have far less griping to do now.

Ideally, that candidate should be nationally known and tested with a proven track record to run on. Outsiders and gadflies can be popular but they can also have skeletons in the closet that can torpedo the campaign as soon as they come to light.

But, for now, do all you can in down-ballot races and, if you’re in a swing state, see to it that Obama does not win. If you don’t live in a swing state and can’t stomach Romney, leave it blank or write in or go third party or whatever floats your boat but if your state is going to be close, do nothing that is going to help Obama get re-elected.

It certainly would.

I will NEVER forgive the drivebys in this country for all but destroying Sarah Palin (and for far too many sheeple, even Republican sheeple, for believing their crap). If this were Romney vs. even Der Schlickmeister I could probably bypass it, but not vs. the Kenyan Antichrist.

I think just staring at the listing for 0bama/Biden might just be enough for you to endure it. Imaging out country after another 4 years of 0bama makes me nauseous enough to endure almost anything.

I still have my hazmat suit I used when voting for Bush 41 in 1992 and for Dole in 1996 and McCain in 2008.

Sure, vote for the lesser of two evils. We stand a much better chance of thwarting a socialist in his first term than a hardcore muslim/communist in his second term!! Besides Mitt at least has had considerable experience and success in business and understands Economics 101.
