I believe you are wrong. Most Republicans will vote for Romney because that's what they do, vote for their candidate, regardless of how liberal he is.

But I have been out and about on the ground, explaining to people that Romney is more of the same. I've convinced 5 so far to not vote for that liberal.

In re: Palin, I’d be happy to support her, but ONLY if she’s actually running. Same as any other candidate. They can get my support when they run.

Thanks for your efforts, there. That’s excellent.

I’d say go to the next level down, then. Or - better yet -try to replace the “They” that said “No Thanks”. Get local people to back you up, and show up with you. Get THEIR job at the next election and replace one of “them”.

I think the point is, we keep hammering and kicking on the door until the door caves in, then drag “them” out of a job and replace them with our people.

I’m in a state that hasn’t held it’s primaries either, and I sure as Hell won’t be voting for Romney come our Primary.

So am I and I won't be voting for him in the primary either but I WILL be voting for him in November! There is NO other choice short of all out armed revolution.

I do think it would be helpful now if we had fewer daily posts attacking Romney for his past positions — we all know what he did wrong, and it won’t help beat Obama to keep bringing up the past.

LOL, that's pretty much just one person spamming old anti-Romney stories people have already read or otherwise don't care about. It's like a daily temper tantrum resulting in useless dated material being sprayed out on to the forums. The primaries are effectively done, we know who the nominee is. Romney sucks, but he is our only shot at removing Hussein from office. Lets hope that sort of silly activity winds down now.

Care to point to a few? Because I read FR a lot and must have missed them.’

BTW, your response is a cop out. Instead of retyping you can cut and paste.

Fail on your part, mostly because your premise is incorrect.

That's a great thought, but the problem is the established GOP has a lock on the rule book and won't hesitate to change them mid-stream (See Florida) to keep conservatives out.

Nope. The GOP is poisoned and not pro-conservative and never will be.

Time for something else.

I realize the disaster Obama will be in the next 4 years, but Romney will be the SAME disaster. I’m voting against BOTH of them. I will never ever vote for Romney, I cannot in good conscience. It is the GOPs fault if we lose not mine, because they should never have let a RINO liar get this far. I’m a Conservative, not a Republican.

Exactly....Romney and Obama are socialists...Conservatives don't vote for socialists. The Gop caused this mess...and further threw half the countries voters in the ditch when Romney claimed he didn't need thier votes and 'assumed' his win...with the press stepping on the gas to run it fast by the public! Without the press no true conservative candidate can win....we just saw this.

We lost in this Primary, and the Gop/Romneyand the Press made certain that would be so.

Very interesting remark coming from a newbie who’s over here laughing his ass off at the “problems” JR and FR are dealing with.

Very interesting.

“U.S. Term Limits, Inc. v. Thornton (1995): a case in which the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that states cannot impose qualifications for prospective members of the U.S. Congress stricter than those specified in the Constitution. The decision invalidated the Congressional term limit provisions of 23 states...”

Also, during the 1994 Republican Revolution, a lot of the Republicans elected to the House had signed a pledge to serve only 3-terms (6-years). When 2000 came, many broke their pledge.

I see that. I just saw his response to you right after a reply to me and saw the four letters being used. There is no reason to be threatening anyone at this time with that when people are on edge right now.

If the real conservatives would jump the ship called GOP, and actually WORK for a party that supports our views, we would have a chance.

Personally I've been living that for over thirty years and it HAS made a difference! When I started you couldn't even say the word republican in most corners of Texas and now you cannot get elected to anything as a Democrap here!

NOW we work on weeding out the RINOS and are making great progress there as well!

Is there more work to do? Hell yes and lots of it but cutting and running isn't going to accomplish ANYTHING!

To refuse to vote for the “lesser of two evils” puts one in the position of support for the greater of the same two evils by the simple act of not standing in the way of the greater evil’s eventually triumph.

- - - -
No to vote for the ‘lesser’ of two evils is still to vote for EVIL. I am standing in the way of evil triumphing on ANY level.

From Realville.

But go ahead, compromise, vote for evil and pat yourself on the back. You only have yourself to blame.

Too little and too late IMO.

After demonizing every poster that expressed even the most tepid support for anyone besides the preferred candidate of FR, whatever candidate of that day that might have been, many of us have voted with our keyboards and have given up on FR.

I certainly have.

This is the first post I have made in months. It is likely to be one of my last.

And as far as financial supporting FR; Why would I give money to a site that would ban me without appeal on the whim of some unknown moderator all for not toeing the “approved” line ?

No thanks.

Cheers,

knewshound

“...the established GOP has a lock on the rule book ...”

But - I guess I don’t understand how this works - how do/did they become “the established GOP” in the first place???

Seems to me that’s who needs replacement/overhaul...they’ve got names, they’ve got faces, and they’re elected?? Nominated?? Appointed??

Third party just gives us Democommie control for eternity...

People are indeed on edge. And other people are ecstatic about it. See post 549. Why do you suppose EC brought you into the mix there are TBL? Do you post there also?

Or run for the GOP nomination for the original office anyway, opposing "Their" candidate. At a minimum, you'll expose some RINOs.

Look...if Palins going to run then she needs to make that absolutely clear before getting the voters into the rollercoaster ride that occured over these past couple of years and then some...the loss of revenues could have been otherwise sepnt on those who did announce...in that respect I was very angered she kept people in the dark for so long.

I for one will not ride the "maybe Palin will run" train again. Either she does or she doesn't..and I get no indication she has the Presidency in mind at all. In fact who is to say the GOP isn't just setting us up with this propaganda news, especially since she's made it clear she wouldn't run for family....she'll still have her family then.
