Obama is ahead of Romney, the presumed Republican nominee, 51 percent to 44 percent among registered voters. And Romney does no better against Obama than he did a year ago, despite his emergence as the GOP standard-bearer.

Given that Virginia is tied at 50/50 (for all practical purposes) Goode's 5% of the total vote will be obtained by snatching it from the Republican 50%, and that is worth 10% of the Republican voters who can be marshaled to show up at the polling booths.

Romney, last March, when he thought he had a lock on Virginia's voters ~looking at the primary results where he was the only major candidate (of 2) that means the probable result is 5% Goode, 45% Rombots and 50% Obamabots.

That, my detractors, is a total BLOWOUT by Obama ~ a LANDSLIDE in Virginia terms.

To win Romney has to pick up 2.5% from Obama's Democrat base to to get up to 47.5% against Obama at 47.5%.

Note, though, getting that 2.4% requires getting a full 5% of the total Democrat vote to switch to him, with none of it being the locked in black vote. It's all gotta' come out of White LIberals ~ and I really don't see that happening.

This is why you must come to the election with clean hands.

Look, get serious, it's a Washington Post Poll ~ we've all learned to look at them from the view point of the audience they are aimed at ~ Leftwingtards in the Washington DC area.

They want to see something that says it's OK to not worry ~ that Romney really did vile things to the pooch.

This time, of course, it's all true.

The Post can look around at the other polls that show something different in Virginia but that doesn't matter. What they are reporting on is of vital importance ~ a trendline ~ showing NO CHANGE and that's what makes the libs happy.

BTW, they only tell the libs that when it's true.

If their poll showed something different they probably wouldn't report it at all.

This is a press release from Osama Obama Headquarters. It doesn't take much imagination to picture the Composts’s editorial endorsing The One in late October.

Another Wa Po poll that overpolls Democrats by 25% probably? Would love to see the internals of this piece of rot gut. As usual, they probably over-polled Dems by a mile. And the Wa Po poll is never even in the top 10 most accurate polls. Bore me more Wa Po.

We have a null set here. Think about it ~ Romney emerges as the standard bearer and the opposition pollster says 'still no change' ~ and he's talking about a mishmash of your people and his people.

Why no change? My theory, and it's just a theory, like gravity, fire ~ that stuff ~ is that Romney is not popular in Virginia. Nobody likes the guy.

People who claim electoral college votes for Romney showing up in Virginia just don't understand.

It's got to be a fake.

Virginia knows the stark differences between 0bama and Romney and with the true (might I say severe) conservative nature of Romney there is no way that he is going to lose to a a liberal hack like 0bama in Virginia in this oh so important election cycle with the direction our nation is going presently.

This election is now down to a choice between a conservative republican and a socialist hack.

The only thing providing any excitement for the Republican side has been the primaries. Once the better candidates and the horse race fades into the background, the flaccid bore that is Romney is just going to sink further in the polls. Who in the world thinks he’s the guy to carry an effective message against Obama throughout the election season? Would you ever sit Romney in front of a microphone for 3 hours to do a radio show explaining why he’s a better choice than Obama? Any other candidate in the primary could have been trusted with that job easily, but certainly not Romney. The over-consulted, over-coached, poll-driven contortions his message is going to be twisted into by the time November rolls around are going to make him a national laughing stock.

The difference between this Wapo poll is it's local and you guys usually don't look at them then ~ you should, but you don't, expressing amazement that the Republicans took over the legislature, and that we have a majority Republican Congressional delegation.

Conservatives did that and so far Romney has not shown them any reason why they need to "share" with him.

Leave it to the GOP-e to pick a sure loser. McCain II.

Romney was certainly not my favorite philosophically (it was Gingrich), but the changing demographics, vote fraud, 97% Dem black vote, union vote, disadvantage among women, and entitlement mentality in this country IMO would make it just as hard for any current conservative to be elected as it will be for Romney.

Tennessee went for Santorum in the primary..

and Huckabee in 2008

Romney will probably have a job to win here..

My county for instance is 80% Conservative-Republican

Romney’s going to crush Bambi. As much as I don’t like the guy, he will win. Like 40 states. I live in a big blue state and I don’t know one person who doesn’t hate Bambi.

What DO you smoke son, and where do you get it? This “election” ...such as it is, is between a Democrat and a Communist. Period.

A Conservative understands the issues in a comprehensive and explainable way. Romney has no core beliefs. That's why he can't stick to the topic speech to speech.

Communications are too good these days to try to get away with the pandering speeches for selected audiences. He's so bad in fact that we are in danger of losing the down ballot offices.

Did he perhaps imagine the 19% of the state vote that is of African-American heritage would dance in the streets upon his arrival?

They won't be dancing except for the Obamanation. Living as I do in Newport News, VA, with its 40% black population, it's hard for me to believe the black population in the state is only 19%.

I live among them and I can't even hang an American flag outside my house without it being taken and undoubtedly destroyed because none are ever displayed.I also had my door mat stolen and had one burglary. Why am I there? Can't afford to live anywhere else for now.
