Seattle mayor issues emergency order after (Obama Endorsed) May Day mayhem

Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn says he's making an emergency declaration allowing police to confiscate items that can be used as weapons following violent May Day protests that left storefronts and car windows shattered.

Police said officers made at least three arrests after hundreds of people marched through downtown Tuesday afternoon. A 23-year-old man was arrested for vandalism and a 19-year-old man with a knife was also arrested.

Protestors dressed in black clothing smashed windows of retail stores and banks, and spray-painted parked cars, reported Q13 FOX News. NikeTown, American Apparel, HSBC, and Wells Fargo were among the businesses protesters vandalized.

McGinn said protesters were using items that looked like flagpoles as weapons. He said his order would enable police to take those items away from people before they are used to cause damage. McGinn said his action would help protect public safety as protests continued into Tuesday evening.

There is an easy way to stop this. Set one example. Then no more.

"...making an emergency declaration allowing police to confiscate items that can be used as weapons shoot looters and rioters on-sight..."

Fixed it.

Too bad. The peace-loving left tormented by leftist extremists. Karma.

Sadly, the “PC” movement did its job in damaging this country.

This "emergency declaration" was meant to apply to the business owners and those defending themselves, not the demonstrators.

Under the messiah that the voters, in their infinate wisdom, selected to lead them, on November 4, 2008 Whites, Christians, those who other than Democrats have money, individuals who own businesses, legal gun owners have became in the United States beginning in 2009 what the Jews were in the 1930s Germany. If ny fit in one of the above ctegories and happen to live in one of the Socialists hellholes....er "paradises". The best thing to do is get out while you still can.

And I wouldn't stop with the street anarchists either.
Convict those five terrorists in Cleavland of sabotage just like we did the German saboteurs in WWII.
Hang them in the street.

My standard line after reading Seattle stories:

“And that is why I left my home of 45 years, Seattle, for a farm in central KY.”

Around 1981 I was on a tour of new listings with my real estate peers and I was stereotyping older volvos and their liberal bumper stickers. They all called me on it and I bet lunch with all five of them that the next Volvo we saw that was at least three years old would have at least one liberal bumper sticker. Each person took the bet.

We were at the top of Queen Ann hill.

We turned a corner and there was a dull mustard colored Volvo four door with seven or eight of them. Everything from supporting Greenpeace to supporting the ERA (remember that one?)

I got five free lunches.

What was attempted yesterday, IMHO, is the begining of the end for the OWS movement.

If there’s a trial, the good citizens of Seattle will acquit the perps on the grounds of peace, love and bean curds.

I have an even BETTER idea. Let the mayor make his “emergency declaration” BEFORE the rioters tear up and destroy the center of his city.
He waited until the damage had been done, and the rioter had gone back to the “welfare pay-out office” and then made his grand pronouncement.
There was a time when “Rioters and Looters WILL be shot.”
In today’s America, only lawbreakers seem to have the full protection of the law.
We are so ($#&*@(&$*@*(!
