Hundreds Of Protestors Take New York By Storm In Fight Against War On Women April 29, 2012 11:04 AM
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) - Hundreds of protesters marched on Saturday in New York City against what they say are setbacks to equal rights and reproductive rights for women.
Saturdays march against the war on women was one of dozens around the country.
Protesters marched from Washington Square down Broadway to Foley Square.
They chanted Not the church, not the state, women must control their fate.
Brenda Reiss says she was taking part in the protest because of efforts in several states to restrict access to abortion and contraception. She says women will not be shoved back in the kitchen barefoot and pregnant.

Our media is amazing.
More women have lost jobs under Obama than any other President...
oh good grief!! set-back to when exactly?
January of 2012 before the government tried to boss around the churches?
Grow up ladies - you’re embarrassing yourselves.
Hundreds? An allegedly national protest?
To the propagandizing CommieMedia (see the Vietnam War “protests”), 101 useless sh!t disturbers would qualify as “hundreds”.
So...because you have to pay for contraception...we're restricting access?
Abortion...get over it, it is legal...but yeah...you have to pay for that sin too. Both here and in the afterlife.
All those choices have consequences, but you do have the right to choose.
They want to control our lives. The media wants to manipulate us.
The stupid it seems, always find new and interesting ways to advertise their stupidity.
Oh, c'mon!
They're beating the sh*t out of each other to get there.
But no, this rally is as non-partisan as the one in Florida being discussed on another thread. It's being run by NOW and NARAL and the Dems, but it is non-partisan. It has the latest Dem 'War on Women' talking point incorporated into its name, but it's non-partisan. It was created in February right about the time that the Dems started this particular campaign meme, but it's non-partisan.
Non-partisan my ass. It's as big an astroturf job as the Million Moms.
ROTFL!!! Just the opposite is true under Barry. Welfare, Obamacare, unemployment, forclosures. The list goes on an on. These "protestors" either aren't very bright or they are not paying attention. They need to try to focus.
It's as plain as day that this group and its rallies are nothing but an avenue for the MSM to keep the 'War on Women' meme in the news without critically examining the astroturf nature of the group.
Women must control their fate? All humans want to control their fate. So march against oppressive government, the only thing that oppresses Americans. Or, travel to one of many Sharia-style countries and protest. Those women do have it bad.
And BTW is abortion something these women have on a regular basis? That seems to be the case on how fanatical they are about it. Then I ask myself just how much hetero sex are they having anyway being that most of them look like butch lesbians? Or are they impregnating themselves with donor sperm but keep changing their minds once it is done? How many abortions can they keep having anyway? I thought after the 3rd or 4th one the uterus is so damaged the lesbian, I mean woman, can no longer conceive.
women will not be shoved back in the kitchen barefoot and pregnant.
**********************
No, liberals would rather have them escorting, standing on streetcorners, poledancing, spreading their legs for any man that comes along, and killimgs their babies because they were irresponsible.
Somehow barefoot and pregnant doesn’t look bad at all.
These are not women. They are blind idiots.
They chanted Not the church, not the state, women must control their fate.
These women do control their fate. They control their eternal fate too. They might need to rethink some of their postions.
Doh! Beautiful! Best post I read all week! Right-on-the-head of the nail. Oh maaan what I wouldn’t give to hold up a sign that said that right next to these idiots. Shut them right the hell up!
They want the “right” to kill their baby
The way the media is promoting this phoney war on women meme for the Democrats is shamefull. I think it is going to backfire.
[So...because you have to pay for contraception...we’re restricting access]
Just like they’re restricting my access to a new boat, vacation home, nanny, housekeeper, gardener, and personal chef.
Any rapes reported yet?
I LOVED being pregnant! I had never felt so happy and excited as when I was carrying each of my 4 children! I loved just lying their and feeling them kick dreaming of the day they would finally enter this world and I could kiss their tiny nose and toes! It is such a wonderful gift! There is nothing in life quite so special and awe inspiring. Such a shame that women have been conditioned to view it as a burden or “punishment”.
“0 will do anything to divert attention from his miserable record.”
...including the racial/class warfare Reichstag fire he will ignite this summer/fall when the polls start to show he is losing big!
“Hundreds”? (more like 50, probably).
Do you know HOW MANY it would require to “Take New York By Storm”?
If this was not a news headline, this “protest” would, in effect, not have existed.
Oooooh, hundreds!
(Or probably fewer than on a single downtown midday 'N' train.)

...including the racial/class warfare Reichstag fire he will ignite this summer/fall when the polls start to show he is losing big!"
COUNT ON IT!
This is going to make Bush/Gore and Bush/Kerrieee look like a walk in the park.
Bloody!
Union compensated day workers.
As the occupoopers come out criminal and red, they are losing many of their libertarian protestors and other idealists.
Maybe this is what Trayvon is about. Before this began, Sharpton was asking blacks to join the occupoopers. Riled up in thier racism, now they have a reason to hit the streets. Only problem is, they are racists and will slaughter the occupiers.
The unspun headline:
"Dozens of Smelly Women With Excessive Body Hair Go Unnoticed in New York..."
