I'm out of steam long before I'm out of Joni songs, Time ... where does it go? I leave you tonight with a classic Yeats poem called "The Second Coming" which has long been one of my favorites and of course, Joni set it to music for me. It's funny how kindred spirits think. As depressing as it is, it's a commentary on our would and perhaps our nation ... "things fall apart; the center cannot hold ... Innocence is drowned in anarchy, The best lack conviction ... the worst are full of passion without mercy ... for what is this rough beast, it's hour come at last, slouching towards Bethlehem to be born?"
Anyhow, we all made it another week, one day at a time, so count your blessings buckaroos. Have a great weekend, happy FReeping always; say your prayers and I'll see you in church.
Slouching Towards Bethlehem
~ Joni Mitchell ~
