Don’t tell him that Reagan named Richard Schweiker, a true Rockefeller Republican, as his VP in 1976 for ticket balance. Right before the convention no less. He then made him HHS Secretary in 1981. If he did that today, some here would want him purged. If Reagan were alive and healthy today, he would give one hell of a good speech for Mitt Romney in Tampa.
Reagan had the same enemy I have............DEMOCRATS!!! He valued party unity, knowing that was the only way to defeat the far left.
In 2004, FR was a knife held at the throat of the Democrat Party....today, its a knife in the back of the Republican Party.
Reagan would not be happy about it and neither am I.
