Everyone please send whatever you are able to, whether it is $10, $100 or $1,000+. The DUmmies, Morons, Kos Kiddies and that crew are laughing up their sleeves. Jim may have to make this site members only or allow ads. Better for us to just help with what we can. Maybe you can donate as a memorial for a lost loved one, a servicemember who never made it home or was disabled defending our country. Perhaps you'd like to give to keep free discussion alive and to show them that we're not knuckling under. I'm sure a well thought out or prayerful meditation will lead you to see the need and how you can help. If every registered FReeper and our lurkers would each just help out with a fin or a sawbuck, or better yet a Ben Franklin, we could put this to bed and get on with the conservative cause.

I beg your pardon, but what is RomneyCare which he still brags about today? Romney also stated TARP was a good idea. Said he approved of the bailouts and government takeovers. Said stimulus spending was a good idea and claims more stimulus spending may be necessary. Feels that the wealthy are not paying their fair share and that minorities should be protected by government and given special status and government favors. Pushes the entire gamut of leftist/socialist anti-liberty causes: global warming, abortion, gay rights, gun control, liberal judges, socialist compulsory health insurance, etc, etc, etc. Don’t believe his lies. Check his actual record.

There is a level of growing frustration that is going beyond peoples ability to cope. You yourself (has) done and did change your mind. Grant that simple respect to all those who would agree to agree or agree to disagree. They are NOT your enemies.

From what I see, Free Republic looks more like an anti-Romney propaganda site these days than anything else.
I’ve been here since 2001, and it’s a shame to see what’s happened here.
The fact is, if you want to see Obama defeated, you have ONE choice on election day. I would have preferred Palin, or Newt... but she didn’t run, and people didn’t vote for Newt, so that’s that.
If you attack Romney, obviously you do not want to see Obama defeated, since weakening Romney at this point can ONLY help Obama.
And why anyone would want to do that is simply beyond my ability to understand.
I can read, that’s why I’m not campaigning for He Who Must Not Be Named.
But 99% of conservatives are going to vote for the Dark Lord regardless of what FR says.

I'm sorry this hasn't turned out the way you had hoped, and again thank you for encouraging financial support from your fellow FReepers. I'm pretty sure I have seen a couple of donations up thread, so "Kudos" to you and to them.

However, it can not be disputed that 0bama is an anti-American islamist, who hates my country. I believe that voting for Romney (now that he's the presumptive nominee) is crucial to thwarting imperial "flexibility" should 0bama get re-elected. For that, I have been called a RINO on this site in recent weeks.
So, I leave it up to you....if I continue to state my preference for Romney over 0bama....are my posts no longer welcome on your site? Am I a RINO in your eyes?
As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America. We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc. We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its will or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. Indeed. At that time many posters were a mix of Mark Steyn and Christopher Hitchens. Intelligent, well-versed in political theory and history, and excellent at debate (though perhaps not down-the-line conservative). Agree or disagree, you'd better be on point or you'd be made to look foolish. The back and forth made us all more educated and improved our debating skills.
Lately it seems like the average poster is in the Michelle Bachmann mold. Throws out constant claims of conservativism, but seems to lack the education to fully understand why and the wit to argue it effectively. In the end, you just feel a bit embarrassed for them.
