Everyone please send whatever you are able to, whether it is $10, $100 or $1,000+. The DUmmies, Morons, Kos Kiddies and that crew are laughing up their sleeves. Jim may have to make this site members only or allow ads. Better for us to just help with what we can. Maybe you can donate as a memorial for a lost loved one, a servicemember who never made it home or was disabled defending our country. Perhaps you'd like to give to keep free discussion alive and to show them that we're not knuckling under. I'm sure a well thought out or prayerful meditation will lead you to see the need and how you can help. If every registered FReeper and our lurkers would each just help out with a fin or a sawbuck, or better yet a Ben Franklin, we could put this to bed and get on with the conservative cause.
Can you reply to the substance of any of my posts without singling out a single word and going off on a tangent about something that has little to do with the discussion? Define Marxism? Socialism? Communism? Why? You want their definitions, go to Wikipedia.

I think many are determining in this country what “side” of the divisions nationwide they will stand on now. It isn’t just the Presidency that will change this trajectory....this ship will take much more than one man to turn.... Neither Romney nor Obama have an interest in doing anything more than moving our nation into the Global Community of Governance.....I will not support either....and is the trajectory this nation is on.
Newt was the only one with the ability to weed out what’s in Washington steering this ship....He knew them by name and where they are hidden behind among our own, as well as and in the dark halls lurking...and they knew he knew... and why the force against him was so powerful.
Romney will be most assuredly now be welcomed by both parties....I think we’ll see many Democrates voting for him in order to see the Republicans take the ultimate fall of our nation....then in later elections, after the Republicans have attempted to clean up the Democrates mess...they’ll come in and take the Glory.
I don’t know that Coulter changed all that much. For the record, Ann supported Romney in the 2008 primary, as did Cain, Santorum and Levin.

FR has been in anti-RINO rebellion mode since RudyMcRomney hit the presidential scene six or seven years ago. We made an exception for McCain in 2008 because he was at least pro-life, a veteran, and he chose Sarah Palin, but we all swore we’d never make that mistake again.

I have been nothing but polite to you the last couple of days, both in our open forum exchanges and freepmail exchanges. You really need to take a chill pill.

Well, there are several layers of issues here that extend well beyond this website. And it goes well beyond the zots and the stance of the owner of this website that it won't be used for Romney campaigning. This goes to the core gap that has opened up between the GOP-E and the conservative base. And quite frankly, the GOP-E fired the first shot in this particular war with their backstabbing of Tea Party candidates who defeated their preferred RINOs in the primaries.
Conservatives were told for years that once the primary is over, support the GOP winner. And guess what? We learned in 2010 that the GOP-E only feels bound to that when the RINO wins the primary.
I am asking an open question - with all the issues I have raised that Romney and the GOP-E has done to trash the concept of party unity, how do they propose closing the rift they have created? McCain at least was smart enough to nominate Sarah Palin which energized conservatives. Do you see Romney doing that? The GOP-E loathes Palin because she doesn't play their game.
The old way of party unity is toast. Done in by the very folks now trying to invoke it. Not you, you are still trying to be a good soldier. I am talking about those who have shown they would rather lose the general than win with a conservative candidate. And now they wonder why so many conservatives want to reciprocate 2010 - that conservatives would rather lose than win with their RINO? We didn't set this precedent.
I have no idea how I will vote. I just know the old GOP-E post-primary sales pitch ain't gonna cut it any longer.
The only thing that was asked was that no support for Romney be posted on FR. That seems to be very hard for some to accept.

I request to be immediately unsubscribed from Free Republic (or “zotted” or whatever you want to call it).
When I discovered Free Republic sometime back in 1999, it was a thoughtful place which included many knowledgeable people and even some political insiders. (Lucianne Goldberg was only one of several people whose real names, if known, would have been recognized by the informed public.)
Today, reasoned, mature opinion has largely been replaced by hot tempers, rude and crude insults, and even religious intolerance. What was once a forum for mutually-respectful differences of opinion has degenerated into a free-for-all of schoolyard bullies.
Free Republic is still one of the best news aggregators anywhere. However, it is usually a waste of time to read the comments.
It has been very sad to see this process accelerating over the past two years. I kept hoping that more reasonable heads would prevail and bring the content back to its former high level. Now it seems clear that a different mentality permeates the atmosphere.

Many of the people you are referencing are not good loyal members. They do not support FR like you. Personally, I don’t give a rip about their “feelings”. Some of the others on this thread, are good loyal members and they’re still supporting FR but they’re not slamming Jim, and for me, that’s unforegiveable.
The ones yearning for the old days are talking about FR when RINOS were in power and disccussions were “oh so lovely and open, blaming Bush and trashing him.” I am being sarcastic and not painting an full picture of the times.

You reap what you sow. . . why would I give a donation to promote speech here that attacks the “wrong kind” of conservative? Not towing the FR line here means you’re not a REAL conservative. We have enough problems in this country without eating our own. So be it. FR was a good idea gone way wrong. Sad. But it’s validating to hear others who feel the same way.
Yes, that is effectively not voting. Sarah Palin is not running for President. She doesn't want your vote, casting a ballot for her is entirely useless, and she has already stated that she is ABO and will support the Republican nominee. Palin is almost certainly going to endorse and campaign for Willard. Palin will probably have a prominent slot at the convention in which she will mostly attack Obama but also champion Romney as our candidate. Will you still be writing her in once that reality sets in? Will that require us declare Sarah a RINO establishment sell-out? Come on, can we at least try to be serious and stop with the "I'm writing in Sarah Palin" nonsense.
