The primaries aren't finished and Romney still has a chance to back out of this stupid venture of his.

We do not like him ~ BY THE MILLIONS.

Actually, it’s long overdue for the RINO crowd to back off. I just pointed out to you that the lineup had 7 RINOS AND 3 CONSERVATIVES. How is it that Conservatives are the only ones being accused of splitting the vote?

“RINOs and the RNC conservatives must rise above all of it and unite.”

There is no such thing as an RNC Conservative.

It’s Conservatives vs the Rino RNC. There is a big difference.
Got it?

Yeah, right -- Mommy, make em stop!! Conservatives as a group can't change what RINOs do or don't do. No sense whining about it. Conservatives must focus on what we can do and that is to unite around a single conservative candidate. Had that occurred we might have had a shot.

“....why not ignore the 22nd amendment too?”

I have daytime nightmares of the year 2020....the year Peggy Noonan and David Frum publish their samizdat tracts: “His Last Election” and “Oh, Those Cursed Trousers”

You misread my sloppy sentence. I'll attempt to fix it. No love for the RNC here and they are not conservative. That much we can agree on.

The lesson here is that despite liberals, RINOs and the RNC we conservatives must rise above all of it and unite.

First of all, I’m not a man.

Second, ME grow up? I’m not the insisting on voting for someone just because “everyone else is gonna do it”.... THAT is childish behavior.

It is true, in the span of time, that comets are in the sky for a short time, and they leave quickly only to be seen again in distant futures. America may be such a comet that may have graced the sky for a short time only to leave us with its memory. Fortunately, America may have been saved by the persistence of a man driven by the fear of our future if America were to leave us.

In this campaign contest, it was the coalition that Romney built and the money raised in the 2008 election cycle that put together a fortunate situation in this race for the presidency. Even though Romney’s second place run with 22.1% of the 2008 primary vote, it was a beginning to what became the formation of a winning machine. It is the machine we need against Zer0. In my opinion, money does not always measure who is the best man-or woman. It is what they do with the money that does.

We could have had a superman with Gingrich or a superwoman with Sarah Palin if they had started much earlier, getting supporters ready to fund their campaigns and an organization put together to hit the ground running when the comet was overhead and the train left the station. Gingrich’s campaign was all hope and dreams without the early groundwork to be effective. The same with the other candidates who seemed to pop up like weeds ready for the pickings. They did one fortunate thing: They battle tested the Romney machine—a very important effect that will make all the difference later.

Romney has avoided the social issues because he knows they are distractions to divert his energies. The Left uses social issue diversions to sap the energy of their opposition. Romney has been able to get stronger by focusing his attention on coalition building which will make all the difference when the necessary support for a strong campaign is needed against the DemonRATs.

Romney’s persistence has proved that he can raise the necessary money to win, which will also make a difference. We are fortunate to have Romney with the level of development that is his organization has become. It will rock the DemonRATs off their feet. It has all come because of simple persistence which has created sufficient time to build the necessary machine to take out the DemonRATs.

I hope he does, but I don’t see it happening. He is not my first or second choice, that’s for sure.

Excuses, excuses, excuses. Whatever the reason, the primaries came out they way they did. Romney, Gingrich, Santorum, Perry, Huntsman, Bachmann, Paul, Cain, etc. all had the same shot. Romney won, Romney is the candidate. End of story. Get real, our country is at stake!!!

Look, it's pretty obvious Romney doesn't care one way or the other about the country so why should that suddenly become something the rest of us need to worry about to the exclusion of every other issue.

Best bet here is for Romney to drop out now before he hurts the country any more.

Romney's coalition is far too small to get out the vote and run a nationwide campaign. He still needs the Republican party to do that and I"m sorry but THE REPUBLICAN PARTY just didn't turn out to vote for him.

He may have the pundits and just enough delegates but that party is nothing without its voters, and they have some other concerns way beyond Romney's interest in money.

Your boy has yet to show anybody any reason to vote for him, or most particularly, to do the hard work on the ground to get out the vote.

There is no "THERE" there.

You sure missed the point ~ that you made initially ~ that somebody divided the vote. I pointed to the 7 RINOS in the race as being far more responsible for a divided vote, and you keep wanting to go back to the 3 Conservatives as being at fault.

No, that's not the way it happened ~ 7 is far larger than 3 ~ every single time.

The Mitbots had several stalking horses wandering about distracting the voters and dividing the vote.

Baptist Churches in Mississippi turned out in a massive show of support for Rick. I voted for Newt but I could see entire groups from several Churches that I know... all at the polling place at the same time... riding in vans. THAT is how one wins elections. He won the State but sputtered out. We had two candidates challenging this baby killing socialist and both were flawed and third tier at best. They could not overcome decades of bad press, their own past and 45 million dollars of attack ads. TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH. I will not vote for mitt.

I'll go even deeper... Ronald Reagan warned the gop/e in 1975 at CPAC... and he explained to them why we had lost the last election and why Conservatives did not show up to vote. He warned them and then gave them a playbook by which to defeat the enemy. They didn't listen to him then and they are refusing to listen today... but today is not 1975 and we are no longer going to put up with their crap. They have destroyed our Republic... we will destroy their cushy elitist world. It is the only way that Conservatives will ever even be given a voice in the party... WE HAVE NO VOICE IN THE PARTY TODAY... GAYS AND MEXICANS HAVE MORE SWAY WITH THE gop THAN CONSERVATIVES DO! I will vote down ballot... but NEVER for mitt romney.

Same here. I've struggled with this in my mind, over and over, and I really want to oust the communist in the whitehouse. However, after much contemplation about it, I simply can't cast a presidential vote for Romney, I just can't, my conscience would eat me up for it. I feel in my heart, that it would be clearly a mistake and against my best judgement. I will not take it up the wazoo again for a party that no longer represents the things that I believe and the things that need to be fixed in order to save this country. The GOP-E can go to hell from now on, if Romney is who they are. I can no longer follow on the road to SSDD.
