Well, she did say that, didn’t she. A moment of indiscretion, forever at TBL. Poor gal.

I am glad I am not the only one who noticed that as well. I think it might say more about “us” than them. But heck that is only one man’s opinion.

“California and texas have been effectively disenfranchised....another choice has been removed from them.
Huh? If Newt made the ballot you will still be able to vote for him in California or Texas. Santorum’s campaign has been suspended for awhile now and he still beat Newt in Pennsylvania last night.”

It might be a momentum thing. Would be nice to have primaries on one day. Little states get more power than the big states CA & TX.

Kind of like how FL voters in north FL quit voting because the state had already been called for.

Possible that a deal has been made for Romney/Gingrich ticket?

Would kinda' remind me of Bush/Cheney in that the vp would have greater responsibilities than just going to funerals.

Cheney was a jewel and the Bush/Cheney team seemed to work in tandem very well.

And, each are kinda' alike but not kinda' alike so they could keep each other in check on one hand and bolster each other publicly on thoughts and goals they share on the other hand.

It’s over. Finally. Should have dropped out when Santorum started drubbing him in the midwest.

Now that he was only taking delegates away from Romney, it was time for Romney’s best friend to quit.

Thanks Newt. Really appreciate what you did here.

I would imagine that Fred Thompson would feel slighted by your not putting him on the RINO honor roll.

This is, and has been the game for the last 4 months.

Gingrich folds to Romney who folds to Obama.

All the conservatives who voted for Gingrich were handing the nomination to Romney. The only thing that could have stopped him was a Santorum win in MI and OH, and elsewhere. That didn’t happen because too many people voted for Gingrich and didn’t see the game that was being played.

Once Santorum dropped I knew that Obama would be re-elected. Quote me, and see if that’s not how the rest of the year plays out. I guarantee you, it will happen.

Are you telling me you would rather just let an abortionist, homo-agenda coddling, socialized healthcare advocating, amnesty-loving, gun grabbing, liberal judge appointing Marxist get a second term than vote for Mitt??? You need your head examined!

Perfect description of the pandering fraud from Mass.

I won't vote for Romney. I don't care who he has for a running mate.

He's a liberal. I'll campaign against him.

I am encouraged because the show Tosh.O posted a link to Obama slow-jamming on Jimmy Fallon last night.

I would say over half to even a vast majority of the comments are very negative toward Obama....and the people who watch this show tend to be younger.

Here's Rational Conservatism; Newt finally gives up the fight for the GOP nomination, (cuz it just aint gunna happen) but joins in the fight to defeat Obama by supporting the GOP nominee, giving the country a chance to come back to her roots...

You people are nuts if you think Romney would appoint Palin, Newt or Santorum to anything. The liberal GOP establishment despises these people. McCain was a maverick who did his own thing, not a cozy member of the establishment. Romney is a card-carrying establishment status quo drone. He will do exactly what the party wants, which will be to totally and completely marginalize true conservatives and Tea Party types. Just as they’re redistricting Allen West out of existence right now, they’ll use whatever tools at their disposal to destroy conservatives. Just as their cohorts at FOX have banned Newt from appearing on the channel again, and have been talking about “regretting” that they ever gave a voice to conservatives like Newt, which only built their support base and helped them challenge the RINOs in the primaries. Elect Romney and see the Tea Party and true conservatives eaten alive by “their own.”

Nothing rational about thinking progressive Mitt will "bring the country back to its roots." That's just utterly moronic and laughable. Romney is an insidious and dangerous enemy to conservatism. He and other GOP establishment insiders are hard at work doing everything they can to destroy conservatism and remove it from the Republican party and platform.

Once Santorum dropped I knew that Obama would be re-elected. Quote me, and see if that’s not how the rest of the year plays out. I guarantee you, it will happen.

Once his foolish supporters made the completely unvetted, untested, unexamined Santorum surge in February after his candidacy had been going nowhere fast, many of us knew the nomination had been handed to Mitt. They started the vote-splitting and donation-splitting against Newt and kept it going until Newt was no longer even being covered by the media. Santorum's candidacy was nothing but hot air based on endorsements from religious leaders and their sycophantic followers who can't think for themselves. There was little to no intrinsic appeal to his candidacy and as people got to know him and see him stumble and fumble in action, his support waned until he could no longer win primaries. There is one group of people to blame for losing this primary and those are the Santorum supporters who jumped to him out of nowhere due to endorsements despite him spending months not appealing to anybody on his own merits.

“This is what happened to me in 2008. Thompson dropped out before i could vote for him. All that were left were RINO.”

Yep, same here (Missouri). I still don’t know why he bothered running. Hopes were so high for him, but it didn’t seem like he even tried.
