MetroWeekly.com is exposing the whole truth that Washington Post would not reveal:

Mitt Romney’s campaign tonight announced that it has hired Richard Grenell, an out gay former George W. Bush administration official, to serve as the presumptive Republican presidential nominee’s “national security and foreign policy spokesman,” according to a report from The Washington Post that did not mention Grenell’s sexual orientation.

Grenell served through September 2008 in the Bush administration as a spokesman to the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations — and told The Advocate‘s Kerry Eleveld as he left the administration that it was his hope that New York would have marriage equality soon and that he would one day be able to marry his partner, Matt Lashey. The couple has been together 10 years. . . .

Andrew Sullivan, who had endorsed Obama’s 2008 run, wrote of the news, “For Romney to have an openly gay spokesman is a real outreach to gay Republicans, a subtle signal to moderates, and the Santorum faction’s reaction will be worth noting.”

Grenell is not just gay, but a gay activist who pushes for same-sex marriages.

At the end of Grenell’s service in the Bush administration, he took a notable whack at the administration, telling The Advocate‘s Kerry Eleveld of his effort to have his partner, Matt Lashey, listed in the United Nations’ Blue Book, which is “a reference guide of contact information for different member states of the United Nations as well as diplomatic personnel and their spouses.”

Grenell had attempted to have Lashey’s name added several times, to no avail. He told The Advocate back in 2008, “What put me over the edge was a friend and colleague who met her spouse after I was already with my partner — they got married and subsequently were put into the Blue Book in a matter of days.”

The State Department eventually told him that the Defense of Marriage Act prevented the listing. Although he protested the decision behind the scenes, Lashey’s name was not ever added, which led to his coming forward to criticize the treatement publicly as he left his post.

HuffPost has noted that since the choice, Grenell has scrubbed his Twitter account and website of offensive material...

Exactly - we can discuss the pros and cons of hiring a gay employee all day. THIS case is about this man making a calculation and a statement by putting this man in a position where his face is going to hit the airwaves, probably on a weekly basis. I think it may pick him up some votes among those squishy rinos who have allowed themselves to be made to feel guilty by the chocolate pushers. But it’s likely to LOSE him tens of millions of votes among regular folks, the folks who know that kind of business is WRONG and should not be promoted.

Personally, I fear that TTIM wants to destroy marriage between one man and one woman so he can live the principle—polygamy. He’s a plyggie.

Are we really so small that we care what adults do in their bedrooms?

The asylum doors were opened. The inmates escaped. They've wandered outside.

Dont agree, a conservative House and Senate, more driven by the local electorates, would put bills in front of any of the GOP candidates, Romney included, that they would sign, including repeal of Obamacare, and real spending cuts (not just screwing national defense while doling out more welfare).

With Obama you get only more debt, more treason, more apologies to the truly evil Islamic radicals.

What they do in their bedrooms they will do in office.

Or do you think they can turn off their pervert genes once in public and suddenly vote conservatively?

You go ahead and refuse to care. We conservative can blame you for the Obama or Romeny choices we are facing.

Hell I don’t care about the guy being gay but I don’t want to hear about it and I damn sure won’t accept his agenda.

That’s all specious nonsense. Romney will, and already is, driving the entire Republican Party even further to the left. The signs are everywhere, easily visible to anyone who isn’t willfully blind.

That’s because you asked a false question that wasn’t worth the pixels you devoted to it.

When he worked for Bush, was he able to keep his personal perversion separate from his duties?

Why sure he did Red, they never try to advance their agenda, any more than the communist party has.

my guess is that it has to do more with polls.

The polls say that more americans have decided to become wishy washy on the definition of marriage.

They’ve decided to say “live and let live”.

That sounds nice - except that isn’t the goal for the LGBT folks.

They don’t want to stop there. They want their “new” definition to be universal. They want to force the adoption agencies to accept the new definition. They want the schools to bring it into the curriculum. They want churches to be forced to ignore scripture and accept the new definition.

Most americans have buried their heads in the sand concerning this.
And just like O stabbed catholic bishops in the back, so will the LGBTs when the start with their anti-church anti-bible “hate speech” garbage that they’ve already pulled in Canada.

I’ve had it....I’m not going to personally participate in this crap.

I’m done with the republicans...I’m an official independent now.

I too have a gut feeling to just write in Sarah Palin. She would be the best candidate AT THIS TIME, to steer us CLEAR from the wreckage and destruction we are facing, as well as bring SANITY, true CONSERVATIVE sanity, BACK to this country. I believe with my whole heart, that she would do what is right and would not be taken in by the elite, establishment or any of the “party line” BS.

She has guts, courage and intelligence. Anyone, ANYONE, who still thinks she’s dumb or stupid, is completely ignorant and stupid themselves. She has more brains and balls than ANY of our supposed representatives in DC (or elsewhere for that matter)......save Allen West.....and if she would run, WITH Allen West....what a dream ticket THAT would be. IMO

And what should a man do? Seek some grandee, take him for patron, and like the obscure creeper clasping a tree-trunk, and licking the bark of that which props it up, attain to height by craft instead of strength? No, I thank you.
Dedicate, as they all do, poems to financiers? Wear motley in the humble hope of seeing the lips of a minister distend for once in a smile not ominous of ill? -No, I thank you. Eat every day a toad? Be threadbare at the belly with grovelling? Have his skin dirty soonest at the knees?
Practice feats of dorsal elasticity? No, I thank you. With one hand stroke the goat while with the other he waters the
cabbage? Make gifts of senna that countergifts of rhubarb may accrue, and indefatigably swing his censer in some beard? No, I thank you. Push himself from lap to lap, become a little great man in a great little circle, propel his ship with madrigals for oars and in his sails the sighs of the
elderly ladies? No, I thank you. Get the good editor Sercy to print his verses at proper expense? No, I thank you. Con
trive to be nominated Pope in conclaves held by imbeciles in wineshops? No, I thank you. Work to construct a name upon the basis of a sonnet, instead of constructing other sonnets? No, I thank you. Discover talent in tyros, and in them alone? Stand in terror of what gazettes may please
to say, and say to himself, “At whatever cost, may I figure in the Paris Mercury!” No, I thank you. Calculate, cringe, peak, prefer making a call to a poem, petition, solicit, apply? No, I thank you! No, I thank you! No, I thank you!

Hell I don’t care about the guy being gay but I don’t want to hear about it and I damn sure won’t accept his agenda.

Dont agree with the homosexual agenda at all...but also dont see the “right” in the lynching...neither the lynching of a sole lost to the devils ways, or the lynching I am getting right now...getting banned right now would be a relief from the hate being directed right now.

The polls say that more americans have decided to become wishy washy on the definition of marriage.
They’ve decided to say “live and let live”.

That's because they feel helpless to stop it. Judges and politicians are forcing it on them against their will. They feel they have no choice but surrender.
This is what happens when the people no longer have control over their government.
