Why Romney Can't Win
NOPC Network ^ | 4/13/2012 | Steve TMFO Elmore

I'm backing Newt and hoping for a brokered convention, where Romney's lead in the polls will mean NOTHING. The remaining candidates plead their cases to the convention, and as we've seen, Newt SLAUGHTERS everyone in a debate. And it's more than that. I've never been a big fan of Newt's, but he's done one thing better than anyone else; he ATTACKS AND THE ATTACKS STICK. And when the opposition attacks, he blocks the shot and unloads even harder.

THAT is what it's going to take to beat Obama. Anything less, and we can kiss our country and our asses goodbye.

I will be voting for Newt in the NC primary on May 8, but in November, when the choice comes down to Mitt or Zero, there is no way I'm going to do anything that helps Zero have a second term. Even if that means voting for Mitt.

I can't stand Mitt, but do you folks really think that he is a true believer like Zero? Do you think Mitt wants to take America down a notch like Zero does? Do you think that Mitt hates what this country stands for?

My duty as I see it is to ensure that the least harm comes from this election and taking my ball and going home just because I don't get my way is not the answer. Fight for a conservative in the primary and in all local elections. But, in the general election, staying home and not voting is the mathematical equivalent to voting for Zero and I won't do that.

Newt has tenacity and can be properly agressive/vicious in this environment, so here’s hoping this race isn’t over and Newt still has a chance, Romney isn’t the answer.

Newt did not slaughter Al Gore in the global warming debate.

Rush Limbaugh on Romney, “BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Daniel Henninger said Mitt Romney is not naturally conservative. He’s going to have to be nudged in that direction. That’s true. It’s not a particularly unique point, but still true. Now on Sunday night Romney was here in Palm Beach for a big fundraiser. Word has leaked out about some of the things that he said to the donors. These are things that he’s not said publicly in terms of specifics on policy, and one of the things that he talked about was a tax plan. He wants to lower rates but eliminate some deductions for the rich. And I have to tell you, folks, I’m not comfortable with the Republican nominee talking about special plans for “the rich,” special plans for “Hispanics.”

Note this was a ‘BEHIND CLOSED DOORS’ fundraiser.

Newt is right on this..Algore is wrong.

Newt does not believe there is a settled scientific conclusion about whether industrial development has dramatically contributed to a warming of the atmosphere.

Through his entire career, Newt has supported pro-market, pro-entrepreneur, innovative solutions to our environmental challenges, which he believes are superior to the liberal pro-bureaucracy, pro-tax, pro-regulation approach to the environment.

Newt absolutely opposes “cap and trade” as well as any system of taxing carbon emissions. He testified before Congress against it in 2009 and led a grassroots effort while the Chairman of American Solutions to block its passage in the House and Senate.

Newt believes that cap and trade would kill hundreds of thousands of American jobs, cause electricity and fuel prices to skyrocket, and make America poorer. In contrast, Gingrich believes the best way to protect the environment is through markets, incentives, and entrepreneurs, who quite often are deploying innovative new technologies.

As for the question of whether industrial development has dramatically contributed to a warming of the atmosphere, Newt has noted there is no settled scientific conclusion. Many scientists believe it is the case. Others do not. But this unsettled scientific question has nothing to do with the best approach to protecting our environment, which is always markets, incentives, and entrepreneurs creating better and more efficient products and services.

Even if that means voting for Mitt.

Your crazy. I refuse to vote for a guy who does not share my values. I have decided that I am going to vote for that Virgil Goode individual. It will help the Constitution Party gain some traction too. Newt gets my vote in Pennsylvania.

Here’s something to consider. I’m sure you consider yourself a conservative, but are you a conservative with battered womans’s syndrome?

“Conservatives/Tea Party are like women with Battered Woman Syndrome to the Establishment”

Posted on Friday, April 20, 2012 11:12:27 PM by Bigtigermike

The GOP Establishment and Elites attack, mock, sabotage, set them up and join in with the liberals in taking down conservatives and true conservative candidates but each and every time the Establishment knows that when push comes to serve — the conservatives wont leave the reservation and will support them when they come calling every time. They keep telling them that “you got nowhere to go, you aint leaving”

The conservatives like those women, keep believing that one day things are going to get better. That next time they will be truly appreciated, that next time the husband is going to rally around her, that next time they are going to be more assertive than ever before and the husband will have a new found sense of respect and will “acquiesce” to them

Conservatives fail to see their current circumstances...”

What do you think about that, Sun?

Obama as a great debater? FALSE PREMISE. He’s a bumbling, stuttering mess without a teleprompter. Romney would wipe the floor with Obama in a debate; Obama has no record to extol and Romney has plenty of fodder for the rotten president.

But Obama will not face Romney in an unstructured debate.

Ergo, Romney must attack Obama using the press and the internet...and, so far, he hasn't done so.

Newt on the other hand has beaten Obama to a bloody pulp!

Romney can’t win because he is a Mormon flip-flopper who has supported choice through paying for abortions in Romneycare. He flip-flops according to the issue, the people or organization he is talking with — in other words — he lies just like Obama lies.

To those of you who under no circumstances, will vote for Romney..... please don't moan when Obama takes the country deeper into socialism upon his reelection.

And you will be able to pat yourselves on the back saying you stuck to your principles, which led to 4 more years of Obama and the downfall of our Republic.

WOW.

I have always supported Newt. But, I have the common sense to know that if I stay home and don't vote, or do a write in, I am undoubtedly casting a vote for Barack Hussein Obama.

Romney CAN win!.

I thought that there was no way in hell that Obama could win in 2008, but look what has happened to us! Romney can win! The same "independents" who elected Zer0 can and will elect Romney if they want to.

I too wish that Newt could win, or Ron Paul, or Santorum..or Gary Johnson or Buddy Rohmer, hell, just about anyone but Romney.....but alas, the people who voted in the primaries have apparently chosen Romney...beats the shit out of me why, but it is what it is for the time being.

I am friggin outraged that my vote in Texas will not mean much...but I intend to vote for Newt for all the good that will do.

Nobody can tell what will happen...the election is 198 days away.

All we can do now peacefully is work to support Newt as much as possible, and if his "stragedy" fails.....

...I AIN'T GOING TO VOTE FOR OBAMA, but I am going to vote...

Just when you thought the vote fraud can't get any worse we now have a Spanish company that will count the votes overseas (SKYTL) & you are correct - nothing will be done about it. So when you get real you find that voting is a joke. Nobody is able to verify the software for inconsistencies. So when voting is a joke so isn't the whole government?

Your crazy. I refuse to vote for a guy who does not share my values.

The Soviet Union didn't share our values in WW2, but out of necessity we sided with them, turned Stalin into Uncle Joe, and otherwise glossed over all our differences. Then when WW2 ended and the Cold War began, we sided with all kinds of dictators and governments for the greater good of defeating the Soviet Union. We covertly supported Saddam (who we later had to fight...twice) when it was necessary to counter Iran. We sided with nutty mujihadeen in Afghanistan who don't share our values in order to prevent the spread of communism and help bankrupt the USSR. Many Christians in places like India, Thailand, etc, have to vote for non-Christian political party's that don't share their values in order to at least make some difference. The list goes on and on and on. Alliances of convenience in politics and war is a part of life.

I have decided that I am going to vote for that Virgil Goode individual.

Your talking about the Constitution Party that supports the kind of protectionists trade policies Bernie Sanders would love, and an isolationist foreign policy that would make Ron Paul dance in glee. Sorry, the Constitution is not a serious alternative. They will get around the same .15% of the vote they got last time and make zero difference.
