Well, November 5, 2008 was was a watershed event for me . When I woke up that morning to my clock radio and heard the news, I was stunned.
As bad (and I do mean bad) a candidate as McCain was, I never thought the American electorate would elect a man who had the connections and associations that Obama has.
Just knowing Bill Ayers or having sat in "Reverend" Wright's racist church would likely have been enough to completely disqualify him as a candidate.
To put it another way, prior to 1992, there is no way he would have even got a security clearance of any kind to have anything to do with the White House. (The Clintons fixed THAT for posterity as Gary Aldrich demonstrates in his book "Unlimited Access".)
You & I must live in some kind of a self-imposed *bubble*...b/c I think the same way...yet we have a stupid generation of public school doctrinaires...LSN press in his pocket....obscene PACs raising goobs money ....so what do we expect?
I’m hoping for a different outcome this time [not getting my hopes too high] and working locally to invest time and money to true Conservatives.
