Planning has begun for the 7th Annual TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot.
This year’s shoot will be held at Schwenke’s Rifle & Pistol Range, 4407 FM 1069, Aransas Pass, TX. Which is a few miles north of Corpus Christi.
The date of the shoot is October 6th, which is Columbus Day weekend.
I have not talked to the range owner yet to see if we can cook on the range. If not, we will head over here for food & more fun. What food & who cooks has yet to be determined. I’m thinking, since we will be on the coast, we should have seafood.
Several of us will be staying in the cottages at that resort. The cottages sleep 2 ~ 4 people; they are a one bedroom with a fold out queen couch. I am going to reserve four cottages so that we will have a common area where we can eat & socialize. Let me know if you want to stay in one of them.
It should be noted that a festival will be held the same weekend as the shoot.

I with ya on the heat. I’m visiting OKC this weekend and it’s going to be 113 today....even worse than Texas today. Ugh! Hopefully October will be cooler. I’m ready now!

Hey BT. It’ll be great to finally meet you too. I’ll have most of my bunch with me. A couple of my boys have been itching to shoot since we moved back to the city.
Caravaning will take some of the tedium out of the long drive.
I just got home and the AC seems to have conked out.
Its all iced up.
I turned it off to thaw and turned on a window unit and placed all the ceiling fans on high.
Wish me luck, its supposed to be 106 today.
Its 98 now and 78 in the house.
Ooooo...hope you get that fixed before YOU melt in that heat!

Ugh. I feel for ya. My A/C went out too. (Saturday) The repairman had trouble finding a part, so we had to pull window units out of our guesthouse and use them all week. It has been a miserable week. But it’s fixed now. The repairman just left.
Run a hose out there on the condenser to melt that ice.

If you have room in the car, will you do me a gigantic favor?
Buckeyes should be ripened and falling from the trees at the end of September and early October. Could you gather 20-40 for me and bring them with you? I want them to make some Christmas ornaments.
If you don’t have room or time, don’t worry about it. I’ll just buy them online.
